As you like it challenge 150 - Birthday or christmas card

Goodmorning, this is day 14 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog. Deze keer willen we weten wat je liever maakt: verjaardagskaarten of kerstkaarten. Normaal begin ik ieder jaar eigenlijk meteen al in januari weer met mijn kerstkaarten voor het einde van dit jaar, maar dit jaar ben ik daar nog niet aan toegekomen. Ik heb nu gewoon even meer zin om verjaardagskaarten te maken. Ze geven gewoon net iets meer vrijheid met kleuren en materialen om mee te werken. En het is helemaal speciaal als je de perfecte verjaardagskaart kunt maken voor een speciaal persoon(tje) in je leven. ;) Dit kaartje is namelijk gemaakt voor mijn neefje Niek, die 5 is geworden (al op 1 januari, maar ik kom er nu pas aan toe om deze kaart te posten...oops). We worden deze keer gesponsord door Lawn fawn.

Niek is helemaal gek van dinosaurussen op het moment en die moesten dan ook op zijn kaartje komen. Ik heb een aantal dinosaurussen van de stempelset Delightful dinosaurs van My favorite things. Om de verjaardagskaart helemaal feestelijk te maken, heb ik van de stempelset Happy hippos van My favorite things de ballonnen, cupcakes en de feestmutsjes gestempeld. Van de stempelset Somebunny van My favorite things heb ik nog een ballonnetje gebruikt voor op mijn kaart. Ik heb alle afbeeldingen ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb ook nog delen van de afbeeldingen ingekleurd met de Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. Ik heb daarna alle afbeeldingen uitgeknipt.
Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 42 van Crealies heb ik een vierkant uit zwart karton gestanst. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 van Crealies heb ik daarna een kleiner vierkant uit wit karton gestanst en daar heb ik een achtergrond op gemaakt voor mijn afbeeldingen. Ik heb de bergen van de stempelset Scene it again van Clearly besotted stamps op het witte vierkant gestempeld en daarna heb ik deze ook op maskerpapier gestempeld. Nadat ik de bergen heb gemaskerd heb ik met het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things en Tumbled glass distress inkt een wolkenachtergrond gemaakt. Daarna heb ik met Mowed lawn distress inkt het gras gekleurd. Nadat dit volledig droog was, heb ik de afbeeldingen met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Met de Delicate letters 661040 van Sizzix heb ik uit zwart karton het woord hoera gestempeld en dat heb ik op de kaart geplakt.

Today a new challenge has started on the As you like it challenge blog. This time we want to know what your prefer to make christmas cards or birthday cards. Normally I start making christmas cards for the end of that year in january, but this year I haven't made any yet. I prefer making other cards right now, like birthdaycards. They give a bit more freedom with the colour choices and images you can use. And it is even more special, if you can make a special for someone that is really close to you and you use the perfect colours and images. This card has been made for my little nephew Niek who celebrated his 5th birthday (His birthday was on the first of january, but now I am finally posting the card...ooops). This time we are being sponsored by Lawn fawn.

Niek really loves dinosaurs at the moment, so they had to appear on his card. So I stamped a couple of dinosaurs from the stampset Delightful dinosaurs from My favorite things. To make it even more a party scene I stamped the balloons, cupcakes and partyhats from the stampset Happy hippos from My favorite things. I also stamped another balloon from the set Somebunny from My favorite things. I have coloured all images with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I also coloured parts of the images with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. I have then fussy cut all the images. 
With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 42 from Crealies I have die-cut a square from black cardstock. I used the Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 from Crealies to cut a smaller square from white cardstock. On the white square I made a background for the images. I started with stamping the mountain image from the set Scene it again from Clearly besotted stamps on the whiet square and also on masking paper. After I coloured the hills with my pencils, I masked them and made a cloudy background with the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Tumbled glass distress ink. I used Mowed lawn distress ink to colour the grass on the card. I glued all images with foamtape on the card. I have die-cut the sentiment (hurray) from black cardstock with the Delicate letters 661040 from Sizzix. 

Ik heb de binnenkant van de kaart ook versierd. Ik heb met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 van Crealies een vierkant uit wit karton gestanst. Ik heb nog een dinosaurus van de stempelset Delightful dinosaurs van My favorite things gestempeld en deze heb ik ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb deze in de kaart geplakt en daar heb ik nog wat ballonetjes, een feestmuts en een cupcake bij geplakt. Met de Delicate letters 661040 van Sizzix heb ik uit zwart karton de tekst Niek 5 jaar gestanst.

I also decorated the inside of the card. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 from Crealies I have die-cut a square from white cardstock. I stamped another dino from the set Delightful dinosaurs from My favorite things and coloured it with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I added a party hat, cupcake and balloons. From black cardstock I have die-cut another sentiment (Niek 5 year) with the Delicate letters 661040 from Sizzix
