As you like it 123 - Faux or real stitching

Goodmorning, this is day 18 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog. Deze keer is de challenge om iets op je kaartje te stikken. Je mag kiezen tussen echt stikken, of je kunt kiezen voor "nep-stikken"door middel van dies of met een fineliner. Ik heb deze keer voor echt stikken gekozen. Ik doe dit eigenlijk veels te weinig, want ik vind het er altijd erg gaaf uitzien. Het kost wat meer tijd om te doen dan dat het gebruiken van een die met stiklijntjes doet, maar het is gewoon super mooi. Onze challenge wordt deze keer gesponsord door Kinda cute stamps by Patricia Alvarez. De winnaar mag 3 digitale stempels uitkiezen uit haar shop.

Voor mijn kaartje van vandaag heb ik de afbeelding Girl and balloons van Kinda cute stamps gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 10 van Crealies heb ik uit wit karton een rechthoek gestanst. Hierop heb ik met het Dutch mask A5 clouds van Dutch doobadoo een wolkenachtergrond gemaakt met Tumbled glass en Broken china distress inkt en een dauber.  Daarna heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Cool tag banner sentiments van Your next stamp

op de wolkenachtergrond gestempeld. Daarna heb ik met wit borduurgaren een stiklijntjes langs de randen van de rechthoek gemaakt. Daarna heb ik een scallop kaart gemaakt met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 56 van Crealies. Ik heb hiermee 2 keer een grote rechthoek uit wit karton gestanst en deze heb ik aan elkaar geplakt door alleen bovenaan een randje dubbelzijdig plakband te gebruiken. Ik heb de wolkenachtergrond daarna met foamtape op de kaart geplakt.

This time we want you to use real or faux stitching on your card and you have to tell us why you haven chosen the stitching you have used. This time I have decided to go for real stitching. I should do this more often, because I really love the look of it. It takes a bit more time to do than using a die with stitched edges, but it is oh so pretty. Our challenge is being sponsored by Kinda cute stamps by Patricia Alvarez. The winner can pick 3 digital stamps from her store.

On my card I have used the image Girl and balloons from Kinda cute stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 10 from Crealies I have die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock. I have made a cloudy background on it with the Dutch mask A5 clouds from Dutch doobadoo and a dauber and Tumbled glass and Broken china distress ink. I have stamped a sentiment from the stampset Cool tag banner sentiments from Your next stamp on the cloudy background. Then I used white embroidery thread to add the stitching on the rectangle. Then I made a scalloped card with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 56 from Crealies. I have die-cut 2 large scalloped rectangles and adhered those together with only one strip of double sided tape on the top of card. Then I adhered the background with foamtape on the card.

Fairytale challenge 186 - Coffee and cake

Goodmorning, this is day 16 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag laat ik het projectje zien dat ik voor de nieuwe challenge op het Fairytale challenge blog heb gemaakt. Onze nieuwe challenge is namelijk Coffee and cake. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om een klein doosje te maken met daarin een heerlijke Kanjer chocoladewafel. Op het doosje staat een tekst waarmee je iemand kunt uitnodigen om gezellig ergens koffie (of thee als je net zoals ik geen koffie lust ;) ) te gaan drinken.
Ik heb het doosje gewoon zelf zonder technische hulpmiddelen gemaakt. Op het doosje heb ik de digitale stempel Bear with cup van Kinda cute stamps gebruikt. Ik heb de beer ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Op de sjaal van de beer heb ik streepjes getekend met een witte gelpen. Ik heb de afbeelding vervolgens uitgeknipt. Het doosje is gemaakt van wit karton en daarop heb ik een laag rood karton geplakt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 73 van Crealies heb ik uit wit karton een cirkel gestanst en deze heb ik op het doosje geplakt. Ik heb de beer vervolgens met foamtape op het doosje geplakt. Uit groen karton heb ik de tekst gestanst met behulp van de set Alphabet soup - lowercase van Memory box. Ik heb deze vervolgens op de cirkel geplakt. Uit groen karton heb ik ook nog 2 hartjes gestanst met de Mini hearts set van Simon says stamp. Ik heb één hartje onder de tekst geplakt en het andere hartje heb ik op de koffiebeker die de beer in zijn handen heeft, geplakt.

Today I am showing you a project that I made for the new challenge on the Fairytale challenge blog. Our new challenge is Coffee and cake. I decided to make a little box with a nice delicious chocolate cookie in it. On the box I added a sentiment that you can use to invite someone to get a cup of coffee (or tea, if you doný like drinking coffee ;) ). 
I made the box myself without using my silhouette or something else. On the box I used the digital stamp Bear with cup from Kinda cute stamps. I have coloured the bear with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I used a white gelpen to draw stripes on the scarf of the bear. I have fussy cut the image. The box is made from white cardstock. I added a layer of red cardstock. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 73 from Crealies I have die-cut a circle from white cardstock and I adhered it on the box. I adhered the image with foamtape on the box. From green cardstock I have die-cut the sentiment with the Alphabet soup - lowercase from Memory box. I have placed the sentiment on the white circle. I have die-cut a couple of hearts from green cardstock with the Mini hearts set from Simon says stamp. I placed one heart under the sentiment and the other one is adhered on the coffeecup the bear is holding in his hands.
