As you like it challenge 331 - Pastels or brights

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze keer worden we gesponsord door Dies to die for, Voor de challenge van vandaag willen we graag weten of je liever felle kleuren of juist pastel kleuren gebruikt op je kaarten. Ik vind beide mooi, maar voor mijn gevoel zijn mijn kaarten meestal meer in felle kleuren, dus ik heb vandaag daar ook voor gekozen. 

Ik heb de prachtige klaprozen van de clear stempelset Poppies for you van The Stamp market gestempeld met Versafine clair nocturne inkt op aquarelpapier en daarna heb ik de afbeelding geëmbost met clear embossing poeder. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna ingekleurd met Aquadrops van Schmincke die ik gemengd heb met wat druppels Iridescent medium van Winsor & Newton. Zo krijg je een mooie glitterverf, maar dat ik helaas niet goed te zien op de foto. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna uitgeknipt. Op een roze kaart heb ik een rechthoek die ik uit zwart-wit streepjespapier van het Positive vibes paperpad van Craft sensations heb gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 van Crealies geplakt. Uit wit karton heb ik een kader gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 110 van Crealies en dat heb ik op het designpapier geplakt. Ik heb de bloem met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt. De tekst is uit wit karton gestanst met het ABC with me alfabet (Jocelijne design) van Carlijn design. Ik heb de kaart versierd met witte hotfix steentjes.

Hello, today marks the start of a new challenge on the As you like it challenge blog , and this time we are sponsored by Dies to die for. For today’s challenge, we’d like to know whether you prefer to use bright colours or pastel shades on your cards. I like both, but I feel that my cards tend to feature brighter colours more often, so that’s what I’ve chosen to go with today.

I stamped the beautiful poppies from the Poppies for you clear stamp set from The Stamp market using Versafine clair nocturne ink onto watercolour paper, and then heat-embossed the image with clear embossing powder. I coloured the image using the Schmincke Aquadrops, which I mixed with a few drops of Iridescent medium from Winsor & Newton. This creates a lovely shimmering paint effect, although unfortunately it doesn’t show up very well in the photo. I then fussy-cut the image. On a pink card base, I adhered a rectangle cut from black-and-white striped paper from the Positive vibes paperpad from Craft sensations, die-cut using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. I then die-cut a frame from white cardstock using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 110 from Crealies and layered it onto the patterned paper. I attached the flower to the card using foam tape. The sentiment was die-cut from white cardstock using the ABC with me alphabet (Jocelijne design) by Carlijn design. Finally, I embellished the card with white hotfix gems.

Hallo, ik heb een kaartje gemaakt met de digitale stempel Chirp and flower van The digistamp boutique (no longer in business). Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt.

Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 36 van Crealies heb ik een rechthoek uit wit karton gestanst. Hierop heb ik cirkel geblend met het Dutch stencil A4 Grunge (retired) van Dutch doobadoo en Versafine clair arctic inkt. Ik heb het stencil aangepast, want eigenlijk zijn het alleen de randen van de cirkels, maar ik heb de binnenstukken uit de cirkels geknipt, zodat ik echt volledige cirkels heb in allerlei maten. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op de cirkel geplakt. Ik heb met de witte Uni Posca pen stipjes op de blauwe achtergrond getekend. Ik heb ook nog een roze hartjes sticker naast de afbeelding geplakt. Ik heb de tekst met het ABC with me alfabet (Jocelijne design) van Carlijn design uit roze karton gestanst en onder de afbeelding op het rechthoek geplakt. Ik heb het rechthoek met foamtape op een witte kaart geplakt. 

Hello, I made a card using the digital stamp Chirp and flower from The digistamp boutique (no longer in business). I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and a white Uni Posca pen, then cut the image out.

Using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 36 from Crealies, I die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock. On this, I blended circles using the Dutch stencil A4 Grunge (retired) from Dutch doobadoo and Versafine clair arctic ink. I modified the stencil, as it originally only has the edges of the circles, but I cut out the inner parts so I could create full circles in various sizes. I attached the image to the circle with foam tape. I also added dots to the blue background using the white Uni Posca pen, and placed a pink heart sticker next to the image. I die-cut the text using the ABC with me alphabet (Jocelijne design) by Carlijn design in pink cardstock and adhered it below the image on the rectangle. Finally, I attached the rectangle to a white card using foam tape.

Hallo, vandaag heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met de stempel Lily of the valley fairy (23100105) van Gummiapan. Ik heb deze afbeelding gestempeld op aquarelpapier en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Derwent inktense potloden, de zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een witte Uni Posca pen. Ik heb over de gestempelde lijnen van de vleugels gekleurd met een Stardust glitter gelpen silver van Sakura, zodat deze mooi glinsteren. Ik heb een paar weken geleden een workshop gevolgd over Derwent inktense potloden, dus ik vind het op het moment erg leuk om deze potloden te gebruiken om in te kleuren.

Ik heb de afbeelding uitgestanst met de Hand drawn squares with small stitches (D231074) van Gummiapan. Na het stansen heb ik een tekst van clear stempelset Simple script (retired) van Clearly besotted stamps onder de afbeelding gestempeld. Ik heb het vierkant met foamtape op een kaart van donkerblauw glitter papier geplakt.  

Hello, today I made a card using the Lily of the valley fairy (23100105) by Gummiapan. I stamped this image onto watercolour paper and then coloured it using my Derwent inktense pencils, the black glaze pen from Sakura, and a white Uni Posca pen. I went over the stamped lines of the wings with a Stardust glitter gelpen silver from Sakura so that they shimmer nicely. A few weeks ago, I took a workshop on Derwent Inktense pencils, so I’m really enjoying using them for colouring at the moment.

I die-cut the image using the Hand drawn squares with small stitches (D231074) by Gummiapan. After die-cutting, I stamped a sentiment below the image from the clear stamp set Simple script (retired) by Clearly besotted stamps. I attached the square to a card made from dark blue glitter paper using foam tape.

Hallo, tot maart vorig jaar maakte ik maandelijks een My doodle nine pagina voor de challenge van Doodledaydarlings en nadat ik een tekening van made_by_smiekes voorbij zag komen op instagram, heb ik besloten om deze maand ook weer eens een pagina te maken. Deze post geeft uitleg over de #mydoodlenine challenge. 

Ik zag veel bloemen voorbij komen en dus heb ik besloten om zelf deze maand een crocus te tekenen, want die past natuurlijk perfect bij de tijd van het jaar. Ik heb mijn afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Derwent inktense potloden. 

Hello, until March last year I created a My doodle nine page every month for the challenge from Doodledaydarlings  After seeing a drawing by made_by_smiekes on Instagram, I decided to make a page again this month. This post explains the #mydoodlenine challenge.

I saw lots of flowers appearing, so I decided to draw a crocus this month, as it suits the time of year perfectly. I coloured my image using my Derwent inktense pencils.

Hallo, vandaag post ik een kaartje dat ik al een jaar geleden had moeten posten op mijn blog. Ik heb dit kaartje namelijk gemaakt voor een challenge op het As you like it challenge blog, maar ik heb het nooit gepost op mijn blog, dus dat doe ik dan maar vandaag, want ik zou het zonde vinden om hem niet te posten.

Ik heb één van de afbeeldingen van de Maisy and Corey mice bundle van Conie Fong art geprint en daarna ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. 

Ik heb op het onderste deel van de voorkant van een witte kaart paars gestreept papier van het Striped silly paper van Sunny studio stamps geplakt en daarna heb ik de onderste hoeken van de kaart afgerond met een pons. Ik heb een laag wit karton met foamtape op de kaart geplakt en daar heb ik de afbeelding met foamtape opgeplakt. Met een zwarte fineliner heb ik een lijntje langs de randen van het witte karton gedoodled. Daarna heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Penguin love van Alex Syberia designs op mijn kaart gestempeld. 

Hello, today I’m sharing a card that I should have posted on my blog a year ago. I actually made this card for a challenge on the As you like it challenge blog, but never got around to posting it, so I’m sharing it today—I’d hate for it not to be seen at all.

I printed one of the images from the Maisy and Corey mice bundle from Conie Fong art and coloured it with my Polychromos pencils, a black glaze pen from Sakura, and a white Uni Posca pen, then cut out the image.

On the bottom portion of the front of a white card, I adhered purple striped paper from the Striped silly paper from Sunny studio stamps and rounded the bottom corners with a punch. I added a layer of white cardstock to the card using foam tape, then attached the image on top with foam tape as well. Using a black fineliner, I doodled a line along the edges of the white cardstock. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Penguin love stamp set from Alex Syberia designs onto the card.

As you like it challenge 330 - A simple or fussy card

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze keer worden we gesponsord door Lili of the valley. Deze challenge willen we graag weten of je liever eenvoudige kaarten maakt of juist drukke kaarten met veel versieringen. Ik ben erg fan van eenvoudige kaarten. Ik vind het belangrijk om de afbeelding de hoofdrol te laten spelen en ik gebruik meestal niet veel versieringen en als ik dat doe, dan zijn ze meestal klein en vrij plat.

Ik heb ook vandaag weer een verjaardagskaart voor mijn moeder gemaakt en deze keer heb ik één van de afbeeldingen van de stempelset Spring awakens colourful crocus van Studio EELZ op aquarel papier gestempeld. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna ingekleurd met mijn Derwent inktense potloden. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 169 van Crealies en daarna heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Handletter - Huwelijk van Craft emotions (no longer in business) naast de afbeelding gestempeld. Ik heb het rechthoek met de afbeelding met foamtape op een paarse kaart geplakt. Ik heb de kaart versierd met zwarte hotfix steentjes. 

Hello, today a new challenge is starting over on the As you like it challenge blog  , and this time we’re sponsored by Lili of the valley For this challenge, we’d like to know whether you prefer to make simple cards or more elaborate ones with lots of embellishments. I’m definitely a fan of simple cards. I think it’s important to let the image take centre stage, and I usually don’t use many embellishments—if I do, they tend to be small and fairly flat.

Today I’ve also made another birthday card for my mum. This time, I stamped one of the images from the Spring awakens colourful crocus from Studio EELZ onto watercolour paper. I then coloured the image using my Derwent inktense pencils. After that, I die-cut the image using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 169 from Crealies, and stamped a sentiment from the Handletter – Huwelijk stamp set by Craft Emotions (no longer in business) next to the image. I attached the rectangle with the image to a purple card using foam tape and finished the card with a few black hotfix gems.

Alpaca pals - Hartelijk gefeliciteerd

Hallo, mijn moeder heeft me een tijdje geleden gevraagd om wat verjaardagskaarten te maken en vandaag post ik mijn tweede kaartje met deze leuke bloem uit de stempelset Bloomin' fabulous van Alpaca pals. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. 

Op een witte kaart heb ik roze gestreept papier van het Pattern paper pad - Shades of pink van Studio light geplakt, nadat ik dat heb gestanst met de Hand drawn squares with small stitches (D231074) van Gummiapan. Uit wit karton heb ik de Note page van Mama elephant gestanst. Op het memoblaadje heb ik de afbeelding geplakt met foamtape. Uit zwart karton heb ik met het Thin alphabet (D190603) van Gummiapan de tekst gestanst en deze heb ik ook op het memoblaadje geplakt. Ik heb het blaadje met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt en ik heb de bovenrand van het blaadje extra rommelig gemaakt, zodat het net lijkt alsof het uit een notitieblok is gescheurd. Ik heb de kaart versierd met zwarte hotfix steentjes.

Hello, a little while ago my mum asked me to make some birthday cards, and today I’m sharing my second card featuring this lovely flower from the Bloomin' fabulous stamp set by Alpaca pals. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and then cut it out.

Memory dex - Happy easter

Hallo, op de dag voor pasen post ik mijn laatste paasproject van dit jaar. Ik heb weer een nieuw kaartje gemaakt voor mijn Memory dex en deze keer heb ik het kaartje gemaakt met de digitale stempel Happy easter chick van The digistamp boutique (no longer in business). Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en een Witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt.

Ik heb mijn memory dex kaartje uit paars karton gestanst met de Bubble talk dies van AALL & create en de laag erop uit wit karton. Ik heb het karton in mijn stans laten zitten en daarna heb ik de achtergrond erop geblend met Tumbled glass en Broken china Distress ink. Omdat ik het papier in de stans had laten zitten, is er een hele kleine witte rand aan alle kanten overgebleven. Met de Petite clouds van My favorite things (no longer in business) heb ik een aantal wolken uit wit karton gestanst en deze heb ik op de achtergrond geplakt en daarna heb ik de afbeelding met foamtape op de achtergrond geplakt. Ik heb daarna het kaartje met de afbeelding op mijn paarse kaartje geplakt.

Hello, on the day before Easter I’m sharing my final Easter project of this year. Once again, I’ve made a new card for my Memory dex, and this time I created it using the digital stamp Happy Easter Chick from The Digistamp Boutique (no longer in business). I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and a White Uni Posca pen, and then cut it out.

I die-cut my Memory Dex card from purple cardstock using the Bubble talk dies from AALL & create, and the top layer from white cardstock. I left the cardstock in the die and then blended the background with Tumbled glass and Broken china Distress ink. Because I kept the paper in the die, a very fine white border remained around all the edges. Using the Petite Clouds from My Favorite Things (no longer in business), I die-cut several clouds from white cardstock and adhered them to the background. Then I attached the image using foam tape. Finally, I adhered the completed panel with the image onto my purple card.

Ik heb de digitale stempel Lotv easter tree (retired) van Lili of the valley geprint en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 36 van Crealies. Ik heb een tekst van de stempelset Easter cuties (retired) van CC. Designs op de afbeelding gestempeld. 

Voor mijn kaart heb ik roze karton gekozen. Ik heb de voorkant van de kaart geëmbost met de Marjoleine's stripes design folder (DF3456) van Marianne design. Ik heb een wit lintje rondom de voorkant van de kaart gebonden en daarna heb ik de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt.

Tuinportretjes: Little happy things - Enjoy the little things

Hallo, vandaag laat ik een tekening zien die ik heb gemaakt na het volgen van een workshop van Carla Kamphuis. Ik zag namelijk haar nieuwe cursus Tuinportretjes: Little happy things voorbij komen en die leek me heel erg leuk om te doen. 

Je kunt heel leuk kaartjes maken met deze kransen, maar ik heb ervoor gekozen om mijn eerste tekening in mijn Watercolour boek A6 Portret van Hahnemühle te maken. Ik heb eerst een potloodschets gemaakt en daarna heb ik alle afbeeldingen overgetrokken met mijn zwarte Unipin fineliners. Ik heb daarna alles ingekleurd met mijn Derwent inktense potloden. Ik heb met mijn potloden "gekrast" op het Aquarel mengpalet van Caran d'Ache en zo kon ik ze als aquarelverf gebruiken. 

Het was een leuke leerzame cursus en ik heb er van genoten. Het is toch erg leuk om vrij snel al zo'n leuke tekening te kunnen maken en ik heb nu al zin om de andere kransen van de cursus te maken. 

Hello, today I’m sharing a drawing I made after following a workshop by Carla Kamphuis. I came across her new course Tuinportretjes: Little happy things, which immediately looked like great fun to try.

You can make lovely cards with these wreath designs, but I chose to create my first drawing in my Watercolour book A6 Portret by Hahnemühle. I started with a pencil sketch, then traced all the illustrations using my black Unipin fineliners. After that, I coloured everything in with my Derwent inktense pencils. I “scratched” the pencils onto the Watercolour pallette from Caran d'Ache so I could use them like watercolour paint.

It was an enjoyable and educational course, and I really loved it. It’s so nice to be able to create such a lovely drawing quite quickly, and I’m already looking forward to making the other wreaths from the course.
