Alexis Cantu - Beterschap

Hallo, vandaag post ik een kaartje dat ik heb gemaakt met een tekening die ik heb gemaakt na het volgen van een tutorial van Alexis Cantu. De tutorial van de vlinder is momenteel niet online te vinden. Ik heb de tekening van de vlinder gemaakt op 1264 Watercolour paper van Fabriano. De tekening is niet heel groot, want ik had hem gemaakt voor een inchie challenge. Ik heb mijn vlinder gekleurd met Van Gogh aquarelverf van Royal Talens en daarna heb ik de vlinder uitgeknipt.

Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 128 van Crealies heb ik een vierkant uit wit karton gestanst. Hierop heb ik met het Mask art grunge stencil van Dutch doobadoo en Spiced marmelade, Carved pumpkin en Crackling campfire Distress inkt een cirkel gemaakt. Ik heb de vlinder op de kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik een tekst van de set Bulletjournal - Tekst diversen van Craft emotions op de kaart gestempeld. Met de Confetti stempel van Cats on appletrees heb ik kleine verfspatjes op de kaart gestempeld.

Hello, today I am posting a card that I have made with a drawing that I have made after I followed a tutorial from Alexis Cantu. The butterfly tutorial isn't available on the internet at the moment. I have made my drawing on 1264 Watercolour paper from Fabriano. It is just a little drawing, because I have made it for an inchie challenge. I have coloured the butterfly with the Van Gogh watercolours from Royal Talens and then I have fussy cut the image. 

With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 128 from Crealies I have cut a square from white cardstock. On the square I have made an orange circle with the Mask art grunge stencil from Dutch doobadoo and Spiced marmelade, Carved pumpkin and Crackling campfire Distress ink. I have glued the butterfly on the circle. I stamped a sentiment (get well) from the set Bulletjournal - Tekst diversen from Craft emotions on the card. With the Confetti stamp from Cats on appletrees I have stamped some paint splatters on the card.

Alexis Cantu - Penguin workshop

Hallo, vorige week had ik vakantie en dus lekker de tijd om een workshop van Alexis Cantu te volgen. Deze keer heb ik de Penguin workshop op facebook gedaan. Ik heb de schets met potlood overgetrokken op Baohong masters' choice bloc medium en daarna heb ik geschilderd met Mijello mission gold watercolours. Het was weer een erg leuke workshop en het was door de duidelijke uitleg van Alexis heel goed te volgen. 

Hello, last week I was enjoying a week off from work and I was able to do a workshop from 

Alexis Cantu. This time I did the Penguin workshop on facebook. I have painted the penguins on 

Baohong masters' choice bloc medium. I have painted them with the Mijello mission gold watercolours. I really enjoyed this workshop and it was pretty easy to follow because Alexis explains everything very well.

Alexis Cantu - Christmas stocking

Hallo, afgelopen weekend heb ik meegedaan aan weer een nieuwe workshop van Alexis Cantu. Dit was de derde keer dat ik een workshop van haar heb gevolgd en ook deze was weer erg leuk. Ze duren soms best lang, maar het resultaat is zeker de moeite waard!

Deze keer heb ik de Happy holidays vol. 3 Workshop gevolgd. Deze afbeelding was bedoelt om op een kerstkaart te gebruiken, maar ik heb hem een stuk groter gemaakt. Ik ga hem zeker ook nog een keer voor op een kerstkaart maken. Ik heb de schets overgetrokken op Baohong masters' choice bloc medium. De afbeelding is gekleurd met Van Gogh aquarelverf van Royal Talens. Om de witte details extra mooi uit te laten komen, heb ik ook nog Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white gebruikt.

Hello, last weekend I have followed a new tutorial from Alexis Cantu. This was my 3th workshop from her and this one was real fun. They do take some time to make, but I love the result.

This time I followed the Happy holidays vol. 3 Workshop. This drawing was meant to be used on a christmas card, but I decided to make a larger painting. But I will definitly make another version for a Christmas card. I have traced the image on Baohong masters' choice bloc medium. The drawing is coloured with Van Gogh watercolours from Royal Talens. To make the white details pop a bit more, I also used Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white on the drawing.

Alexis Cantu watercolours - Painting a toucan

Hallo, afgelopen vrijdag heb ik een nieuwe workshop van Alexis Cantu Watercolor op facebook gevolgd. Deze keer gingen we een toekan schilderen. Tijdens de workshop had ik meerdere momenten dat ik eigenlijk het liefste wilde opgeven, omdat ik het best moeilijk vond. Ik ben dan ook heel blij dat ik toch door ben gegaan. Er zijn echt wel wat verbeterpuntjes, maar uiteindelijk ben ik tevreden met mijn resultaat. Ik denk wel dat ik de toekan gewoon nog een keer ga doen en dan proberen of ik mijn foutjes kan voorkomen. ;) Maar het belangrijkste is dat het uiteindelijk toch erg leuk was om te doen!

Hello, last friday I have followed a live workshop from Alexis Cantu Watercolor on facebook. This time we have painted a toucan. During the workshop I wanted to stop several times, because it was difficult for me. So I am really happy that I didn't sop and went on. I did make a couple of mistakes, but in the end I am pretty satisfied with the result. I really want to do the workshop again and try to avoid those mistakes. ;) But the most important thing: It was real fun to do!

I have traced the sketch on the 1264 Watercolour paper from Fabriano and painted with Van Gogh watercolours from Royal Talens.

Alexis Cantu - Monarch butterfly workshop

Hallo, gistermiddag heb ik een workshop gevolgd van Alexis Cantu. Het was de Workshop Monarch butterfly op facebook. Ik heb mijn vlinder op 1264 Watercolour paper van Fabriano getekend en daarna heb ik de afbeelding gekleurd met de Mijello mission gold watercolours.

De workshop was heel goed te volgen, doordat Alexis echt goed de tijd neemt om alles uit te leggen en je krijgt ook veel tijd om mee te kleuren. Ik heb weer veel geleerd en het was een leuke workshop. Is mijn tekening perfect? Nee, ik zie nog wel wat verbeterpuntjes, maar dat maakt me niet uit, want het was vooral erg leuk om mee te doen en ik heb me al voorgenomen om de workshop nog eens over te doen in mijn eigen tempo. 

Hello, yesterday I have followed a watercolour workshop from Alexis Cantu. It was the Workshop Monarch butterfly on facebook. I have drawn my butterfly on 1264 Watercolour paper from Fabriano and then I painted the image with my Mijello mission gold watercolours.

It was a really nice workshop and it was really easy to follow. Alexis really takes her time to explain everything and you have lots of time to paint every part of the workshop. I have learned a lot and really enjoyed myself. Is my painting perfect? No, I do some things that I can improve, but the most important thing was that I have had real fun. I want to follow the tutorial another time in my own pace, just because it was so much fun!
