Clearly besotted - Artist trading cards with wintersport hippo's

Hallo, de afgelopen maand lukte het me na lange tijd gelukkig weer om lekker creatief bezig te zijn. Ik heb veel nieuwe dingen gemaakt die ik al heb gepost en ook dingen die later te zien zullen zijn. Maar ik heb ook eindelijk eens de tijd genomen om foto's te maken van oude projecten die nooit op mijn blog terecht zijn gekomen en deze atc-tjes zijn daar een mooi voorbeeld van. Ik heb ze al in 2024 gemaakt, maar ze zijn nooit gepost.

Ik heb de atc's gemaakt met de stempelset Snow day play (retired) van Clearly besotted stamps. Ik heb deze afbeeldingen op aquarelpapier gestempeld en daarna heb ik ze ingekleurd met mijn Peerless watercolours. De oogjes van de nijlpaarden zijn gekleurd met een Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura. Ik heb de nijlpaarden daarna uitgeknipt. De achtergrond met het huisje en de bomen is ook gestempeld op aquarelpapier en nadat ik deze ook heb gekleurd met de Peerless watercolours, heb ik met Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white kleine verfspatjes aangebracht, zodat het lijkt alsof het sneeuwt. Daarna heb ik de nijlpaarden op mijn achtergrond geplakt. 

De basiskaart van mijn atc's heb ik uit zwart karton gesneden en daarna heb ik met de set ATC rechthoeken snijmallen (CDSN-0233) van Carlijn design eerst een postzegelvorm gestanst en daarna heb ik de achtergrond gestanst met de kleinere rechthoek. Ik heb daarna alle lagen op elkaar geplakt.  

Hello, over the past month I was thankfully able, after quite some time, to really enjoy being creative again. I made many new things which I have already shared, as well as some projects that will be shown later. I also finally took the time to photograph older projects that never made it onto my blog, and these ATCs are a good example of that. I made them back in 2024, but they were never posted.

I created the ATCs using the Snow day play (retired) by Clearly besotted stamps. I stamped the images onto watercolour paper and then coloured them with my Peerless watercolours. The hippos’ eyes were coloured using a Black glaze pen from Sakura. I then cut out the hippos. The background with the little house and the trees was also stamped onto watercolour paper and, after colouring it with the Peerless watercolours, I added small paint splatters using Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white to make it look like snow. I then adhered the hippos to the background.

I cut the base card for my ATCs from black cardstock. Using the ATC rechthoeken snijmallen (CDSN-0233) from Carlijn design, I first die-cut a postage stamp shape and then die-cut the background with the smaller rectangle. Finally, I adhered all the layers together.

As you like it challenge 277 - Feminine or masculine

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze keer wordt de challenge gesponsord door Lawn fawn. Deze keer willen we graag weten of je liever kaarten maakt voor vrouwen/meisjes of mannen/jongens. Ik maak het vaakst kaarten voor vrouwen en meisjes, maar een kaartje voor mijn lieve neefjes maak ik ook erg graag. Daarom heb ik voor de challenge van vandaag een kaartje gemaakt voor deze mannen. Ze spreken inmiddels al aardig wat Engels, dus ik kon deze leuke tekst mooi gebruiken!

Voor mijn kaartje heb ik wat leuke nijlpaardjes en het berglandschap uit de set Snow day play (retired) van Clearly besotted stamps op aquarelpapier gestempeld. Ik heb de afbeeldingen daarna gekleurd met mijn Peerless watercolours en de Black glaze pen van Sakura. Met een witte gelpen heb ik kleine accentjes op de afbeelding getekend. Ik heb de nijlpaardjes uitgeknipt. Het berglandschapje heb ik gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 van Crealies en daarna heb ik het landschap met foamtape op een rode kaart geplakt. Ik heb met de witte gelpen stipjes op het landschap getekend zodat het sneeuw lijkt. Ik heb een tekst van de set Snow day play (retired) van Clearly besotted stamps op de achtergrond gestempeld en daarna heb ik de nijlpaardjes met foamtape op mijn kaartje geplakt. 

Hello, today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog and this time we are being sponsored by Lawn fawn. This time we would like to know if you prefer making feminine or masculine cards. Most of the times my cards are made for women/girls, but I also really love making cards for my favourite boys: my nephews. So I have made them a card today. Both boys are able to talk in english now, so it was possible to use this fun sentiment on their card. 

For my card I have stamped a couple of cute hippos and the mountain scene from the stamp set Snow day play (retired) from Clearly besotted stamps on watercolour paper. Then I coloured all the images with my Peerless watercolours and the Black glaze pen from Sakura. With a white gelpen I have drawn dots on the images. I have fussy cut the hippo images. I added snow on the mountain image with a white gelpen. I have cut the mountain image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 from Crealies and then I glued it on a red card with foamtape. I have glued the hippos with foamtape on the card. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Snow day play (retired) from Clearly besotted stamps on the card.

Hallo, eindelijk is het me gelukt om een foto te maken van mijn nieuwe tekening voor de #mydoodlenine challenge van Doodledaydarlings voor februari. Deze post geeft uitleg over de #mydoodlenine challenge.

Ik heb deze maand voor een valentijns thema gekozen. Deze maand heb ik mijn afbeeldingen ingekleurd met mijn Peerless watercolours. Deze heb ik al jaren, maar ik moet toegeven dat ik ze ook al heel lang niet had gebruikt. Het lijkt me erg leuk om mijn doodlenine pagina voor febrauri hiermee in te kleuren. Voor mijn tekening heb ik deze maand weer voor een muisje gekozen. Muisjes blijven toch mijn lievelingsdieren op tekeningen en kaarten. Ik heb heel erg zin om deze maand lekker aan de slag te gaan met mijn pagina, want ik heb al heel veel leuke tekeningen bij anderen gezien!

I have chosen for a valentine theme this month. This month I am going to colour my drawings with my Peerless watercolours. I have owned these for so many years, but I have to admit I haven't used them for a long time. So I thought it would be fun to use them on my page this month. I have drawn a little mouse again on my page. They are my favourite animals on drawings and cards, so I had to draw one for this month. I am looking forward to filling all those empty boxes, because I have already seen a couple of very cute drawings!

Goedemorgen, dit is dag 9 van de 30-day colouring challenge van Kathy Racoosin.

Goodmorning, this is day 9 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag laat ik een beterschapskaartje zien op mijn blog. Ik heb hiervoor de stempel Stacey Yacula - Sunny blooms van Purple onion designs gebruikt. Deze keer heb ik mijn afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Peerless watercolors. Ik vind het leuk om, terwijl ik meedoe aan de 30-day colouring challenge, om zoveel mogelijke verschillende kleurmediums te gebruiken tijdens die 30 dagen. Potloden blijven mijn absolute favoriet, maar af en toe een klein uitstapje naar iets anders is wel leuk. ;) Nadat ik de afbeelding had ingkleurd heb ik de bloemen ook nog gekleurd met de clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgstanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies. Ik heb een strip geel karton genomen en die heb ik oranje gekleurd met Carved pumpkin en Rusty hinge distress inkt. Hierop heb ik een rub on tekst aangebracht. Ik heb de strip op een witte kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik een wit lint om de oranje strip gebonden en vervolgens heb ik de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt.

Today I am showing you a get well card on my blog. I used the stamp Stacey Yacula - Sunny blooms from Purple onion designs. This time I coloured the image with my Peerless watercolors. I really like, while participating at the 30-day colouring challenge, to use all the different colour mediums I have during those 30 days. Pencils will always be my absolute favorite, but something else is always fun. ;) After I had coloured the image I coloured the flowers also with the clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies. I coloured a strip of yellow cardstock with Carved pumpkin and Rusty hihge distress ink to give it an orange tone. I added a rub on sentiment on it. After I adhered the strip on a white card I wrapped a white ribbon around the card and then I adhered the image with foamtape on the card.

Tiddly Inks challenge - Spooky dooky

Goedemorgen, dit is dag 27 van de 30-day coloring challenge van Kathy Racoosin.
Vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het Tiddly Inks challenge blog. De challenge deze keer is Spooky dooky. Deze keer heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met de afbeelding Too cute to spook - Witchy Wryn van Tiddly Inks. Ik heb deze keer eens niet voor de traditionele halloween kleuren gekozen en heb een kaart gemaakt in de kleuren blauw en vooral veel roze. Ik heb Wryn ingekleurd met mijn potloden. Op aquarelpapier heb ik een achtergrond gemaakt met Peerless watercolors en daarna heb ik hieruit een rechthoek gesneden met de Basic set - Creative cuts van Mama elephant. Uit zwart papier heb ik een aantal sterretjes gestanst met de Lots of stars die van Mama elephant en deze heb ik rondom de afbeelding geplakt. Met een zwarte pen heb ik stipjes tussen de sterretjes getekend. Op een roze kaart heb ik met een zwarte pen een lijntje langs de randen van de kaart getekend. Uit zwart papier heb ik een spinnenweb rand gesneden met de Spider web die van There she goes (retired) en daarover heen heb ik de afbeelding geplakt. De tekst is op de kaart gestempeld en ik denk dat hij uit een setje van Purple onion designs komt, maar dat weet ik niet zeker.

Today a new challenge starts on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. The challenge this time is Spooky dooky. This time I made a card with the image Too cute to spook - Witchy Wryn from Tiddly Inks. This time I decided to not use the traditional halloween colors, so I made a card using the colors blue and mainly pink. I have colored Wryn with my pencils. On watercolor paper I made a background with the Peerless watercolors and then I cut a rectangle out of it with the Basic set - Creative cuts from Mama elephant. I have cut a couple of black stars out black paper with the Lots of stars die from Mama elephant and I adhered those around the image. I have drawn little dots between the stars with a black pen. On a pink card I have drawn lines with a black pen. I have cut a border with the Spider web die from There she goes (retired) and I adhered the image on top of it. I stamped the sentiment on the card and I think the sentiment is from a set from Purple onion designs, but I am not sure about it.

Tiddly inks - Avenger - Candy hero

Goedemorgen, hier ben ik weer met een nieuw Tiddly Inks kaartje voor dag 20 van de 30-day coloring challenge van Kathy Racoosin. Ook deze keer is het weer een halloween kaartje geworden. Deze keer heb ik de afbeelding Avenger - Candy hero van Tiddly inks op mijn kaart gebruikt. Ik heb de Avenger ingekleurd met mijn potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Op een stukje aquarel papier heb ik met de Peerless watercolors een achtergrond gemaakt en deze heb ik daarna uitgesneden met de Basic set - Creative cuts van Mama elephant. Op de voorkant van een witte kaart heb ik zwart glitterpapier geplakt. Ik heb ook nog een stripje zwart papier opgeplakt en daaromheen heb ik een zwart lintje gebonden. De tekst is gemaakt met het Olivia alfabet van quickutz. Ik heb nog een aantal zwarte rub-on sterretjes als decoratie opgeplakt.

This time I used the image Avenger - Candy hero from Tiddly inks. I have colored the image with my pencils and the black glaze pen and then I cut it out. On a piece of watercolor paper I made a background with my Peerless watercolors and then I cut it out with the Basic set - Creative cuts from Mama elephant. On the front of a white card I have adhered black glitter paper. I added a strip of orange paper and tied a black ribbon around it. The sentiment is made with the Olivia alphabet from quickutz. I added a couple of black star rub-ons on the background.

Bugaboo stamps - Halloween witch

Goedemorgen, vandaag begint de 30 day coloring challenge van Kathy Racoosin weer en ook deze keer hoop ik weer gezellig mee te doen. :) Aangezien het oktober is, kan ik zo lekker veel halloween kaartjes maken. Op deze eerste dag begin ik met deze kaart waarop ik de afbeelding Scene it - Halloween witch van Bugaboo stamps heb gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik deze uitgeknipt. Onderaan de afbeelding heb ik de tekst met versafine onyx black inkt gestempeld en deze heb ik daarna geëmbost met clear embossingpoeder. De tekst komt uit de set Many mini messages van Clearly besotted stamps.
Daarna heb ik op aquarelpapier een spookachtige achtergrond gemaakt met mijn Peerless watercolor. Ik heb de kleuren Brilliant yellow, Deep yellow, Wistaria violet and Pearl gray gebruikt. In de lucht heb ik daarna nog kleine sterretjes rub-ons aangebracht en daarna was mijn kaartje compleet. 

Goodmorning, today is the start of the 30 day coloring challenge van Kathy Racoosin and I really want to try join again this time, because it is so much fun. :) Because it is october, it is a good excuse to make a lot of halloween cards. On this first day I am starting with a card on which I used the image Scene it - Halloween witch from Bugaboo stamps. I have colored the image with my pencils and the black glaze pen and then I cut it out. I added a sentiment at the bottom of the image with versafine onyx black ink and then I embossed it with clear embossingpowder. The sentiment is from the set Many mini messages from Clearly besotted stamps. 
Then I made a spooky background on watercolor paper with my Peerless watercolors. I have used the colors: Brilliant yellow, Deep yellow, Wistaria violet and Pearl gray. In the sky I then also added a couple of black rub-ons stars and then my card was complete.

2Cuteink - Boo!

Goedemorgen, vandaag post ik een halloween kaartje op mijn blog. Op het kaartje heb ik de afbeelding Ghostie sucker van 2Cuteink gebruikt. Ik heb het schattige spookje ingekleurd met mijn potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Op de lolly heb ik gekleurd met de clear wink of stella brush pen. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna uitgeknipt. Op een stukje waterverf papier heb ik met peerless paint een waterverf achtergrond gemaakt in de kleuren oranje en paars. Ik heb ervoor gezorgd dat de kleuren nauwelijks gemengd worden, omdat het dan een vies bruin kleurtje wordt. Toen de waterverf achtergrond goed droog was, heb ik met een zwarte pen wat lijntjes en spinnetjes gedoodled op het papier. De tekst Boo! is gemaakt met het Moxie alphabet van quickutz. Ik heb de letters gekleurd met de clear wink of stella brush pen en daarna heb ik glossy accents op de letters aangebracht.

Goodmorning, today I am posting a halloween card on my blog. On my card I have used the image Ghostie sucker from 2Cuteink. I colored the cute ghost with my pencils and the black glaze pen and then I cut the image out. I have colored on the sucker with a clear wink of stella brush pen. On a piece of watercolor paper I made a ink splash background with orange and purple peerless paint. When the watercolor background was completely dry, I doodles some lines and spiders on the background. The sentiment Boo! is made with the Moxie alphabet from quickutz. I colored the letters with the clear wink of stella brush pen and then I applied glossy accents on them.

Create a smile stamps - Happy birthday

Goedemorgen, vandaag laat ik een kaartje zien dat bij toeval is ontstaan. Ik had in een papierwinkeltje een goedkoop blokje aquarelpapier gevonden en wilde dat testen, Dus ik heb deze bloem van de set Magic flowers van Create a smile stamps op het papier gestempeld en daarna geëmbost met clear embossingpoeder. Daarna ben ik eens met allerlei verschillende aqaurel producten gaan testen hoe deze op het papier werken. Ik heb de Zig clean color real brush markers, spectrum noir aquamarkers, Derwent inktense potloden en peerless paint gebruikt. Ik heb de bloemblaadjes gewoon in allerlei vrolijke kleurtjes gekleurd. Na het inkleuren zag ik de bloem liggen en toen vond ik hem zo leuk geworden dat ik er een kaartje mee heb gemaakt. Ik heb de bloem uitgeknipt. Uit zwart papier heb ik een rechthoek gesneden met de Die-namics stitched rounded rectangle stax van My favorite things. Hierop heb ik met zwarte versafine inkt de stippen van de set  Polka dots basics van Papertrey ink gestempeld en deze heb ik daarna geëmbost met clear embossingpoeder. De tekst komt van de set Tree amigos van Mama elephant en deze heb ik op een stripje geel papier gestempeld. De bloem was dus eigenlijk niet voor een kaartje bedoeld, maar uiteindelijk er toch wel op terecht gekomen. ;)

Goodmorning, today I am showed you a card that I made by coincedence. I found some cheap watercolor paper in a store and wanted to try all my watercolor mediums on it to test it. So I stamped this flower from the set  Magic flowers from Create a smile stamps and then I embossed it with clear embossingpowder. Then I started coloring the flower with all my watercolor products. I have used the Zig clean color real brush markers, Spectrum noir aquamarkers, Derwent inktense pencils and peerless paint. I used random colors on the flower petals. After I was done, I realy liked the flower, so I wanted to use it on a card. I have cut the flower out. I have cut a rectangle out of black paper with the Die-namics stitched rounded rectangle stax from My favorite things. I stamped large dots with the set Polka dots basics from Papertrey ink on top of it with onyx black versafine ink and then I embossed those with clear embossingpowder. The sentiment is from the set Tree amigos from Mama elephant and I stamped on a strip of yellow paper. So although the image was not mend for a card, it still ended up on a card. ;)

The 30-Day coloring challenge - Day 29

Hallo, vandaag is dag 29 van de 30-day coloring challenge van Kathy van The Daily marker.

Hello, today is day 29 from the 30-day coloring challenge from Kathy from The Daily marker.

Vandaag heb ik 2 kaartjes en een tag gemaakt. Ik heb hiervoor de set Watercolor friendly flowers van Simon says stamp gebruikt en heel verrassend ik heb ze ingekleurd met aquarelverf. Ik kom er net pas achter dat de set zo heet, dus het was gewoon toeval. :)

Today I made 2 cards and a tag. I used the set Watercolor friendly flowers from Simon says stamp and Surprisingly I colored them with watercolors. :) I just found out that this is the name of the set, so it is pure coincedence. :)

Op het eerste kaartje heb ik de bloemen ingekleurd met peerless paint, een blaadje waarop heel veel pigment zit en waar je heel fijn mee kunt kleuren. Ik heb op de kaart een stukje zwart-wit gestreept washitape geplakt en daarop heb ik de bloemen met foamtape geplakt. De tekst komt uit dezelfde set als de bloemen. Op de bloemen heb ik zwarte hotfix steentjes geplakt.

On the first card I colored the flowers with peerless paint, a sheet with a lot of pigment on it that is ideal for watercoloring. On my card I adhered a piece of black and white striped washi tape and on top of it I adhered the flowers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flowers. I adhered black hotfix gems on the flowers.

Daarna heb ik een tag gemaakt. De tag is te koop bij de Hema. Ook deze bloemen zijn ingekleurd met peerless paint en ook hier heb ik zwarte hotfix steentjes op de bloemen geplakt. Op de tag heb ik witte stickerrandjes geplakt. En daar bovenop heb ik de bloemen geplakt. De tekst komt weer uit dezelfde stempelset. Ik heb een stukje blauw bakers twine door de tag gebonden.

Then I made a tag. I bought these tags from the Dutch store Hema. I colored these flowers also with the peerless paint and added black hotfix gems. I adhered a couple of  white stickers on the tag and then I added the flowers. I used blue bakers twine in the tag. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flowers.

Voor de laatste kaart heb ik de bloemen gestempeld met Real red inkt van Stampin up en daarna heb ik ze ingekleurd met real red inkt. Op de kaart zelf heb ik de bloemenstengels gestempeld met Old olive inkt van Stampin up en daarna heb ik de bloemen met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb een aantal zwarte hotfix steentjes als decoratie op de kaart geplakt.

For the last card I stamped the flowers with Real red ink from Stampin up and then I colored them with Real red ink. On the card I stamped the flower stems with Old olive ink from Stampin up and then I adhered the flowers with foamtape on the card. I added a couple of black hotfix gems on the card as decoration.
