Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze week worden we gesponsord door Lawn fawn. Deze challenge willen we graag weten wat je lievelings seizoen is om te gebruiken op je kaarten. Ik vind dat ieder seizoen zijn eigen charme heeft en kan niet echt een favoriet seizoen kiezen. Nu ben ik toe aan lekker zomers weer na een aantal dagen met regen, dus ik heb een zomers setje artist trading cards gemaakt.
Ik heb op mijn kaartjes een aantal afbeeldingen van de stempelset Beach day van Neat and tangled (no longer in business) gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeeldingen ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen. Daarna heb ik alle afbeeldingen uitgeknipt. Ik heb met de ATC frame with stamp dies van Craft & you design het basiskaartje voor mijn ATC-tjes uit blauw, roze en groen gestanst en daarna heb ik uit wit karton de laag voor op het basiskaartje gestanst. Op het witte karton heb ik een wolkenachtergrond gemaakt met het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things (out of business) en Peacock feathers Distress inkt. Met stansjes van de set ATC set (CS1101) van Marianne Design heb ik het strand en de golven uit wit karton gestanst. Het strand heb ik gekleurd met Old paper, Gathered twigs, Vintage photo, Brushed corduroy en Ground espresso Distress inkt en daarna heb ik met het Winter day stencil from Create a smile stamps stipjes op het strand aangebracht. Het water heb ik gekleurd met Peacock feathers, Mermaid lagoon en Uncharted mariner Distress inkt en daarna heb ik met de Witte Uni Posca pen accentjes op het water getekend.
Hi there! Today a new challenge is starting over on the As you like it challenge blog, and this week we’re being sponsored by Lawn fawn. For this challenge, we’d love to know what your favourite season is to feature on your cards. I think every season has its own charm, so I don’t really have a favourite. But after a few rainy days, I’m definitely in the mood for some sunshine – so I made a summery set of artist trading cards.
I used some images from the Beach Day stamp set by Neat and Tangled (they’re no longer around). I coloured the images with my Polychromos pencils, a Black glaze pen from Sakura, and a White Uni Posca pen. Then I cut them all out by hand.
For the base of my ATCs, I used the ATC frame with stamp dies from Craft & you design and cut them from blue, pink, and green card. I also cut a top layer from white card. On that white layer, I created a cloudy background using the Mini Cloud Edges stencil from My Favorite Things (which sadly isn’t in business anymore) and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
I used the ATC set (CS1101) from Marianne Design to cut the beach and waves from white card. I coloured the sand with Old Paper, Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, Brushed Corduroy, and Ground Espresso Distress Inks. Then I added little dots to the sand using the Winter day stencil from Create a smile stamps.
For the water, I blended Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, and Uncharted Mariner Distress Inks, and finished it off with a few white highlights using the Uni Posca pen.
Op de achterkant van de ATC's heb ik wit karton geplakt en daarop heb ik gestempeld met teksten van de stempelset Stempels ATC Nederland van Carlijn design. Hiermee kan je de titel van de set opschrijven en ook hoeveel kaartje je hebt gemaakt.
