Christine's roses

Last week Christine Dark opened her own webstore with digital stamps. Christine can draw very well, so I am happy with her new shop! There aren't a lot images yet, but the ones that are there are perfect! A couple of flowerstamps that first were available at Spiral whisper, can now also bought as digital stamps. I really liked them as stamps ( flowers, daisy bunch and flowers), but I am also very happy with these digital stamps, because you change change them into the perfect size for every card you make. For my first card with a digital stamp from Christine I have chosen the image Rosebuds.

I printed my red background on a white square card. In the white oval I printed the rosebuds. I colored them with derwent pencils. I added a little cord round the oval. I made it a bit thicker myself. This is so nice to do, because you make your own perfect cord this way. I learned ths technique from my mum and she learned it herself from her mum. I really love it that I can use something that my grandmother used to do a long time ago, on a card of mine.
After I finished the red card, I wanted to make another one in another color. So here is my purple card. I colored the purple roses with a derwent and a bic pencil. I really like them both. Which one do you like the best?? I would love to hear that!

    Leuk idee.

  4. Beautiful cards... my favourite is the pink one (but them I'm a bit 'pink-mad') Have you left a comment on Chris' blog to say you have made cards using her designs? I'm sure she will be thrilled to see them. She's a good friend of mine. I'm so lucky to have such talented friends.
    Hugs

  5. WOW Larissa, your cards are both stunning and I could not choose between them, they are both colours that I love! Thank you so much for supporting me in my new venture and the lovely post you've made about my drawings, I very much appreciate it, you're the best!!! I love the little rope you made for the ovals and also that the lesson came from your Grandmother. My Grandmother taught me to knit and crochet and I will never forget that and it is a vivid memory. I wish I had a daughter to pass it on to but perhaps one day I'll hava a Granddaughter to teach. Hugs, Chris x
