DU2DS - Purple and lemon

Het is weer vrijdag en dus weer tijd voor de volgende challenge van Dare U 2 Digi stamp. Deze week hebben we een kleurencombinatie die je moet gebruiken op je kaartje, namelijk paars en geel. Op mijn kaartje heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een digitale stempel van All that scraps uit het setje: Hey chicky. Ik heb mijn chicky ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Op de oogjes heb ik twee zwarte hotfix steentjes gebruikt. Ik heb daarna de afbeelding uitgesneden met de ovalen scallop nestabilities. Eronder zit een gladde paarse ovaal. In de witte ovaal heb ik een gaatje gemaakt en daar heb ik een geel satijnen lintje doorheen geknoopt. Op mijn kaartje heb ik paarse stippen geprint. Daarna heb ik een stripje paars papier opgeplakt. De tekst heb ik gemaakt met het phoebe alfabet van quickutz. Ik heb nog wat kleine gele satijnen bloemetjes opgeplakt ter versiering. In de hartjes van de bloemetjes heb ik weer zwartehotfix steentjes gebruikt. Ook dit kaartje heb ik opgestuurd naar een kindje via de Postpals site, namelijk naar Jemima.

It is friday again and time for another challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This week we have a great colour combination: Lilac and lemon. I used a digi stamp from All that scraps on my card from the set: Hey chicky. I coloured my chicky with derwent pencils. On the eyes I used two black hotfix stones. Then I have cut the image with my oval scalloped nestabilities. I made a hole in it and I have added a yellow ribbon. I also added a purple straight oval. On my card I printed the purple dotted background. On a strip of purple paper I have written the sentiment with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz. I used some yellow satin flowers as a decoration. In the hearts of the flowers I added black hotfix stones. This week I did send my card again to a child from the PostPals site. I have send it to Jemima.

Magnolia verjaardagskaartje

Afgelopen week was Wendy van het DU2DS team jarig en ik heb dit kaartje voor haar gemaakt. Voor mijn kaartje heb ik één van de stempels uit de springkit van Magnolia gebruikt. Tilda is ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Haar shirtje en schoentjes heb ik gekleurd met een aquatone potlood van derwent. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met rechthoekige nestabilities. De vlinder is op een apart stukje papier gestempeld en die heb ik daarna uitgeknipt. Als basis heb ik een donkerblauwe kaart genomen. Op het rose ruitjes papier heb ik met blauwe inkt de tekst gestempeld. Ook heb ik nog een strikje van blauw satijn lint gemaakt.

Last week it was the birthday from Wendy from the DU2DS team and I made her this card. For my card I used one of the stamps from the springkit from Magnolia. I coloured Tilda with derwent pencils. Her shirt and shoes were colored with a derwent aquatone pencil. I cut the image with the rectangle nestabilities. I stamped the butterfly on a seperate piece of paper and cut it out. As my base I used a dark blue card. On the pink gingham paper I stamped the sentiment with darkblue ink. I also added a darkblue satin ribbon.

A spoon full of sugar - Buttons galore

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt voor de challenge van A spoon full of sugar. Deze week is het de bedoeling dat je knopen op je kaartje gebruikt. Ik heb dit superschattige stempelafdrukje van de lieve Heather gekregen. Bedankt Heather! Ik vind haar zo lief met haar bloemetjes ketting in haar haar en haar dromerige blik. Ik heb de afbeelding gekleurd met derwent potloden. Daarna heb ik hem uitgesneden met de vierkante nestabilities. Uit paars papier heb ik een groter vierkant uitgesneden. De witte knoopjes zijn brads die ik tijden geleden al eens heb gekocht. Op een witte kaart heb ik de paarse ruitjes geprint. Ik heb de hoek van de kaart versierd met een geponst takje en geponste bloemen. Op een stukje wit papier heb ik met een groen caran d'ache potlood getekend en daarna heb ik de takjes uitgeponst. In de hartjes van de bloemetjes heb ik zwarte hotfix steentjes gebruikt.

I made this card for the challenge of A spoon full of sugar. This week you have to use buttons on your card. I have gotten this cute stamped image from the lovely Heather. Thank you so much Heather! I think she is such a sweetie with the chain of flowers in her hair and her dreamy look. I have coloured the image with derwent pencils. Then I cut it out with sqaure nestabilities. I added a bigger square from purple paper. The white buttons are brads that I have bought some time ago. I printed the purple gingham on white card. I decorated the corner of the card with some punched branches and flowers. I coloured with a green caran d'ache pencil on a piece of white paper and then I punched the branches. I used black hotfix stones for the hearts of the flowers.

Happy birthday

Kim van DU2DS was gisteren jarig en ik heb haar dit kaartje gestuurd. Voor mijn kaartje heb ik een stempeltje uit het nieuwe setje Gorjuss girls van Sugar Nellie gebruikt. Ik heb de gorjuss girl gekleurd met derwent potloden. Op haar sokken heb ik nog wat gekleurd met een clear spica glitter pen. In haar heeft ze eigenlijk een doodshoofdje zitten, maar daar ben ik niet zo gek op, dus ik heb er een satijnen bloemetje overheen geplakt. In het hartje zit een zwart hotfix steentje. De afbeelding is uitgesneden met ovalen nestabilities. Op een witte kaart heb ik de rose streepjes en de tekst geprint. Van wit papier heb ik een strip gesneden en aan de onderkant heb ik een sierrandje gesneden. Ik heb van zwart satijn lint een knoopje gemaakt en daar ook een stukje rose satijn lint doorheen gedaan. De kaart is daarna nog gedecoreerd met zwarte hotfix steentjes.

Yesterday it was Kim's (from DU2DS) birthday and I have send her this card. For my card I used one of the stamps from the second set Gorjuss girls from Sugar Nellie. I coloured the gorjuss girl with derwent pencils. I colored on her socks with a clear spica glitter pen. In her hair she actually has a skull, but I don't like skulls, so I put a little satin flower on top of it. The heart of the flower was decorated with black hotfix stone. I cut the image with the oval nestabilities. On a white card I printed the pink lines and the sentiment. I cut a strip white paper. I added black satin ribbon and a little piece of pink satin ribbon.The card was decorated with black hotfix stones.

Moederdag

Vandaag is het moederdag en natuurlijk heb ik een kaartje gemaakt voor mijn lieve mams. :) Voor mijn kaartje heb ik de stempelset: Embrace life van Stampin Up gebruikt die niet alleen ik erg mooi vind, maar mijn moeder vind hem ook geweldig mooi. Hij was dus perfect voor een moederdagkaartje. De set was een cadeautje van mijn lieve vriendin Angela en ik ben er zo blij mee!!!! Mijn kaartje is vrij eenvoudig geworden. Ik heb met mijn nestabilities een cirkel uitgesneden uit een rose kaartje. Langs de rand van de cirkel heb gestikt met de naaimachine. De tekst is geprint en het takje is er bij gestempeld. Het takje is gekleurd met derwent potloden. Ik heb een klein strikje van wit satijnen lint gemaakt. In de hoekjes heb ik witte cabochons geplakt met mijn hotfix applicator.

Today it is mother's day in the Netherlands and offcourse I made a card for my sweet mum. :) For my card I used the stampset: Embrace life from Stampin Up. I am not the only one who really loves this set, but my mum also loves it very much! So it was perfect for a mother's day card. The stamp set was a present from my dear friend Angela and I am so happy with it!!!! My card is pretty simple. I used my circle nestabilities to cut a circle out a pink card. I stitched along the edge of the circle. I printed the sentiment (happy mother's day) and stamped the image next to it. I colored the branch with my derwent pencils. I made a little bow from white satin ribbon. In the corners I added white cabochons with my hotfix applicator.

Dit is het cadeautje dat ik haar ga geven. Ik kon het natuurlijk gewoon maar inpakken, maar dat is niet leuk. :) Ik had nog rose inpakpapier in bijna hetzelfde kleurtje als mijn kaartje en daar heb ik op gestempeld met de bloem uit de stempelset Embrace life. Met de JustRite stamper heb ik haar monogram gestempeld met een leuk sierrandje erom heen. Het monogram heb ik uitgesneden met cirkel nestabilities. Ik heb van zwart satijn lint een strikje om het pakje gemaakt en daar het monogram overheen gedaan.

This is the present I am going to give. I could have wrapped it up just normally but that is no fun. :) I did have some pink wrapping paper in almost the same color as my card and I stamped on it with the flower from the stampset Embrace life. With the JustRite stamper I stamped her monogram with a nice decorative edge. I cut the monogram out with my circle nestabilities. I added a bow from black satin ribbon and attached the monogram on top of it.

Darin's card

De challenge van Dare U 2 Digi Stamp wordt deze week gesponsord door Postpals, een stichting die zich ervoor inzet dat ernstig zieke kinderen af en toe post ontvangen, zodat ze een beetje opgevrolijkt worden en misschien hun zorgen een klein beetje kunnen vergeten. Ik had al wel een kaartje gemaakt voor de challenge van Dare U 2 Digi stamp, maar die vond ik niet echt geschikt voor een kindje, dus ik heb in hetzelfde thema als van de challenge (gingham and stitching) mijn kaartje gemaakt. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om mijn kaartje naar Darin te sturen. De afbeelding is van Pink Petticoat en is gekleurd met derwent potloden. Ik heb hem uitgeknipt en met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. De ruitjes zijn echte stukjes stof die op de kaart zijn gestikt met rood garen. Op de kruispuntjes heb ik vier rode knopen vastgemaakt. De tekst is gemaakt met het phoebe alfabet van quickutz.

I did make a card for this weeks challenge but I didn't want to send that one to a child, so I made another card with the same theme (gingham and stitching). I have chosen to send my card to Darin. The image is from Pink Petticoat and I coloured it with derwent pencils. I cut him out and used foamtape to mount it on my card. The gingham is real fabric that I stitched on the card with red yarn. I used 4 buttons to decorate the corners. The sentiment was made with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz.

Dare U 2 Digistamp 6 - Gingham and stitching

Het is weer vrijdag en dus weer tijd voor een nieuwe challenge van Dare U 2 Digi stamp. Deze week is het de bedoeling om ruitjes op je kaartje te gebruiken en je moet ook nog stikken op je kaartje. Dat hoeft niet echt met naald en draad, met een gelpen doen alsof je gestikt hebt is ook goed! :) Ik vond het erg leuk om te doen net als de rest van het design team! Kom vooral kijken naar alle kaarten die gemaakt zijn. Deze week wordt de challenge gesponsord door PostPals met een geweldige prijs!!! Postpals is een stichting die zieke kinderen verwennen met kaartjes. Op de website kun je uitkiezen naar welk kind je een kaartje wil sturen, om zo op een eenvoudige manier een kindje blij te maken. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om mijn kaartje naar Darin te sturen. Ik zal hem niet het kaartje sturen dat ik voor deze challenge heb gemaakt, maar eentje die ik speciaal voor hem heb gemaakt.

I have chosen to send my card to Darin. I made another card especially for him and that one I am going to send him.

Voor mijn kaartje van deze week heb ik een gloednieuwe afbeelding van Christine Dark (sketchingstamper) gebruikt: Oriental blossom. Het is weer een geweldig mooie afbeelding en ik wilde hem ook meteen gebruiken op een kaart. Ik heb de afbeelding gekleurd met derwent potloden. In de hartjes heb ik een hotfix steentje gebruikt. Het is helaas niet op de foto te zien maar het was een heel mooi bijpassend kleurtje bij het kleurtje van het potlood. Op een witte kaart heb ik het ruitjespatroon en de tekst geprint. Het frame is langs de randjes gestikt en daarna op de kaart geplakt, zodat je aan de binnenkant geen gaatjes hebt van het stikken. In de hoekjes van het frame heb ik witte hotfix cabochons gebruikt. Ik heb het kaartje ook nog in de kleur oranje gemaakt ( geen idee of er zo'n kleur bloesem is, maar ik vond het gewoon mooi :)!! ).

For my card I used one of the new sketch images: Oriental blossom from Christine Dark (sketchingstamper). It is a very beautiful image and I wanted to make a card with it immediately. I colored the image with derwent pencils. In the hearts of the blossom I used an amethyst hotfx stone. Unfortunately you can't see the real colour of the stones on my picture. It matches so lovely. On a white card I printed the gingham background and the sentiment (congratulations). I stitched on the edges of the frame and then I glued the frame on my card. That way you don't see the holes from the stitching on the inside of my card. In the corners of the frame I used white hotfix cabochons. I also made my card in the colour orange (I do not know if there is an orange blossom, but I just thought it was beautiful :)!!).

Ketto verjaardag

Dit is het verjaardagskaartje dat ik heb gemaakt voor Sandra, die ook in het designteam zit van Dare U 2 Digi stamp. Voor mijn kaartje heb ik één van de stempels uit de Ketto serie van Stamping Bella gebruikt. Maisy Ketto is gekleurd met derwent potloden. Haar vleugeltjes zijn gekleurd met een clear spica glitter pen. Haar kousjes en de bolletjes in haar haar en van het kroontje heb ik gekleurd met een zwarte spica glitterpen. De afbeelding is uitgesneden met cirkel nestabilities. Ik heb er een rode cirkel aan toegevoegd. Op een witte kaart heb ik zwarte stippen geprint. Op een rode strip papicolor papier heb ik wat zwarte hotfix hartjes geplakt. De tekst heb ik op een apart stukje papier geprint en deze is met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Met een zwarte fineliner heb ik streepjes langs de randen van de strip rood papier gezet en dit heb ik ook gedaan langs de rand van de witte cirkel. Ik heb kleine zwarte hotfix steentjes geplakt op de rode cirkel.

The image was cut with circle nestabilities. I added a bigger red circle. On a white card I printed the black dotted background. On a strip of red papicolor paper I added some black hotfix hearts. The sentiment was printed and I used foamtape to glue it on my card. With a black fineliner I did some faux stitching at the edges of the red strip of paper. I also did faux stitching on the white circle. I used some little black hotfix stones on the red scalloped circle.

Moederdagtasje uit de HJ

In het Hobbyjournaal stond deze maand een moederdagspecial en voor deze special mocht ik een tasje maken met natuurlijk de beschrijving erbij hoe het tasje gemaakt wordt. Op een wit vel dun hamerslag papier heb ik de oranje achtergrond geprint en van het a4-tje heb ik het tasje gemaakt. Om de bovenkant iets steviger te maken hebben ik twee strips wit hamerslag papier opgeplakt (er zit er ook één op de achterkant). De strip papier is aan de onderkant gesneden met een figuursnijrandje van een snijmachine die ik bij de Kruidvat had gekocht. Als afbeelding heb ik een digitale stempel van Christine Dark gebruikt: Daisy crazy. Sinds gisteren staan er weer een heleboel nieuwe afbeeldingen bij en die zijn weer geweldig dus kom vooral een kijkje nemen op haar blog: Sketching stamper digi stamps. De afbeelding is gekleurd met derwent potloden. Daarna heb ik hem uitgesneden met rechthoekige nestabilities. Ik heb nog een grotere rechthoek van oranje en wit papier eraan toegevoegd. Ik heb de tekst drie keer achter elkaar geprint en er een zwart kadertje omheen geprint en dat onderaan het tasje geplakt. De hengels zijn van wit satijn lint en zijn vastgemaakt aan het tasje met 4 oranje brads.

In the hobbyjournaal (a dutch crafting magazine) they had a mothers day special this month (Mothers day is in the Netherlands on the 10th of may this year) and I was asked to make a little mothers day bag for this special with the description how to make the bag. On a sheet of white hammered paper I printed the orange background and I folded the bag. I used two strips of the white hammered paper at the top of the bag (one is at the back of the bag). I cut the strips with a cuttingmachine I bought at a dutch shop. As my image I used a digi stamp from Christine Dark: Daisy crazy. Yesterdag She added some new pictures and they are really fabulous! So please come and take a look at her blog: Sketching stamper digi stamps. I colored the image with derwent pencils and then I cut it out using my nesatbilities. I added bigger rectangles from orange and white paper. I printed the sentiment three times (for mum) and added a black frame. The handles are from white satin ribbon and I used 4 orange brads to attach them to the bag.



Binnenin het tasje zijn twee vakjes. In het voorste heb ik een kaartje gedaan en in het achterste zitten 3 waardebonnen voor cadeautjes. Ik heb voor het kaartje en de waardebonnen op een wit kaartje een oranje kader geprint. Op het grote kaartje heb ik een tekst geprint en verder heb ik ruimte overgelaten zodat ik er zelf nog iets persoonlijks op kan schrijven. Ik heb het kaartje en de waardebonnen versierd met bloemtjes die uit de Daisy crazy digitale stempel heb gehaald. Deze zijn gekleurd met derwent potloden en daarna uitgesneden met de cirkel nestabilities. Ik heb er nog een oranje scallope cirkel onder gedaan.

The bag has two seperate compartments. In the first one I did a white card and in the last one I did some coupons with presents on them. For the card and the coupons I printed an orange frame on a white card. On the card I printed a sentiment (for my sweet mum) and left some space open, so I could write a personal message. On the coupons I printed 3 different presents: a visit to her favorite restaurant, a visit to a craft store :) and the last one is for a visit to a beautician. I decorated them with flowers from the daisy crazy digi stamp. I colored these with derwent pencils and cut them out with circle nestbilities and added an orange scalloped circle.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp 5 - Sketch

Goedemorgen allemaal.
Het is alweer tijd voor de vijfde challenge van Dare U 2 Digi stamp. Deze week hebben we een fantastische sketch van Sandra. Ik vind hem erg leuk en ik zal hem zeker nog eens gebruiken!

Good morning everyone.
It is time for allready the 5th challenge from Dare U 2 Digi stamp. This week we have a fabulous sketch from Sandra. I really love it and will use it again for sure!

Voor mijn kaartje heb ik een afbeelding van de geweldige fairies van Sandra Dry gebruikt. Ik moest toch nog een kaartje maken voor iemand die ging verhuizen en daar vond ik deze afbeelding wel leuk voor. Ik heb de afbeelding gekleurd met derwent potloden, zoals altijd. ;) Op een witte kaart heb ik de rode stippen geprint. Van rood papicolor papier heb ik de twee cirkels gesneden en deze zijn geëmbost met de swiss dots embossing folder van cuttlebug. Ik heb een tekstcirkel gemaakt en deze uitgesneden met nestabilities en deze op de bovenste cirkel geplakt. Ik heb wat zwarte hotfix steentjes gebruikt als versiering. Omdat de kaart nog een beetje kaal was, heb ik met een zwarte fineliner streepjes langs de randen getrokken.

I colored the image with derwent pencils as always. ;) I printed the dots on a white card. I cut two cirkels out of red papicolor paper and embossed them with the swiss dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I made a circle with the sentiment ( congratulations with your new home) and cut it out with the circle nestabilities. I used some black hotfix stones as decoration. I did some faux stitching on the edges with a black fineliner.
