To Bee or Not To Bee Blog Hop

Hallo!

Hello! Today it is World bee dayWorld bee day is the day that celebrates the role of bees (and other pollinators) for the ecosystem. We are celebrating this day with a bloghop that has been organised by the sweet Milka. Nineteen cardmakers will share a card today for the bloghop and you will also be able to win lots of nice prices. Today (and also the coming days) I will be posting several cards with bees, because I couldn't pick which stampsets I wanted to use. ;) You can find all the info over the participants, the blog hop list and the sponsors at the bottom of my post.

Today I am posting 2 cards. My first card is also made for the Kleuren met potloden blog. I have printed one of the sweet bears from the digital stampset Sweet honey pairables from Digi doodle studios and then I have coloured the image with my Derwent lightfast pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have coloured the wings and the black stripes also with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. After I coloured the image, I have fussy cut the image. I have stamped with the Watercolour stripes background (retired) from My favorite things on white cardstock with Wild honey Distress oxide ink. I have die-cut a rectangle from the background with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 10 from Crealies. I have die-cut another rectangle from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 95 from Crealies and I glued the stripey background on it. I have glued the rectangles on a white card. I have cut a circle from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 92 from Crealies and I glued it with foamtape on my card. I added the image also with foamtape. The sentiment Happy bee-day is die-cut from black cardstock with the Mini alpha & number cutter dies (retired) from CC. designs and I glued it under the image.

My second card is made with a sweet bee from Gerda Steiner designs. One of the sponsors from our bloghop is Gerda Steiner designs, so I also wanted to make a card with a sweet bee from Gerda for the hop.
I have coloured the Birthday bee (digital stamp) from Gerda Steiner designs with my Polychromos pencils and the white gelpen. Then I have fussy cut the image. On a kraft card I glued rainbow patterned paper from the Really rainbow petite paper pack from Lawn fawn and then I added another layer of kraft cardstock. I doodled lines on the edges of the kraft cardstock with a black gelpen. Then I glued the little bee with foamtape on the card. The sentiment Hooray is from the set Party animals (clear stamp) from Gerda Steiner designs and I stamped it under the image. I doodled the stitched swirl with a black gelpen. Then I stamped a couple of stars on the card with the star stamp from the set Alien invasion (clear stamp) from Gerda Steiner designs. I added black hotfix gems on the antenna from the bee.
