Art journal - Bloom

Goodmorning, a while ago I bought a little art journal, but I haven't done anything with it yet. Later I also bought the Jenine's mindful art collection art journal from Studio light. The pages in this art journal are 15 by 15 cm, so not too large. I don't know if I will do lots of things with it and when I do, I will do my own thing, but that is ok, because that is what an art journal is meant for. Last week I finally made my first page. I am not totally happy, but that is ok. ;)

I started with colouring my page with Distress ink. I have used a colour combination that I have found on the internet. I used the colours Dried marigoldPicked raspberry and Seedless preserves Distress ink. Then I added lots of little splatters. The splatters are made with black gesso, white ecoline and Liquid pixie dust from Ink on 3. With a black fineliner I doodled a line around the edges of the page. I have stamped the flowers from the set Karin Joan Blooming stamp (StampKJ01) from Studio light with Versafine clair nocturne ink on the page and then I embossed them with clear embossingpowder. With the Karin Joan Blooming basics (DCKJ01) from Studio light I have die-cut the word bloom from black cardstock. I coloured the word with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen and then I applied Glossy accents on the letters.

I want to enter this card in the following challenges:

  1. What a great idea. Like a larger version of your roladex. Lovely first sample for it. The colours are beautiful. xx
