Tiddly Inks challenge - Acetate and a little acetate tutorial

Goedemorgen!

Goodmorning! Today we are starting a new challenge from Tiddly Inks and this time our challenge is a bit easier than our last challenge Art journaling. This we want you to use acetate on your card, you could also use Krimpie dinkie or something like that. So the challenge is really versatile and if you take a look at the Tiddly Inks challenge blog, you can see that really well with all those amazing cards from my DT buddies.

My card is made with one of the new images from the Sugar and spice release from Tiddly Inks. In the Tiddly Inks shop you can find all the new amazing images from this release. I have used the image Dark Angel on my card. I have coloured her with my pencils and after that I used a transparent glaze pen to go over her clothes and shoes. I have coloured her wings with a clear spica glitter pen. Then I cut the image out and I did the same with the flying hearts. The sentiment is from the Essential sentiments set from My favorite things.

The inside of the card is decorated with a sheet of paper on which I made the cloudy background with blue chalk and cloudpattern.

I have writte a little tutorial how I made this card.

Decide which image you want to use and print it twice.  One time you print it like it is and the other image should be mirrored. Color both of the images and cut them out.

Take a piece of acetate and adhere double sided tape on the sides of the acetate. Make sure that the piece of acetate will be larger than the aperture on the front of your card.

Try to avoid that the double sided tape will be visible through the aperture when it is adhered on the card.

Adhere the circle frame on the design paper and add the ribbon.

Adhere the design paper on the front of the card. Make sure that is perfectly aligned with the aperture in the front of the card.

Adhere another cirkel frame on the inside of your card.

I have used foamtape to adhere the image on the front of my card. The little hearts also have been adhered with foamtape.

This is why you need a mirrored image. When you open the card, you can see all the foamtape and the backs of the images, which is not very pretty.

So adhere the mirrored image with double sided tape on the exact same spot as the first image and this way the inside of your card will also look good.
