Simpel paaskaartje

Last weekend I made this simple easter card. It is a little card (10 by 10 cm). Such a lovely size for a simple card. :) I used the cute image from an easterchick that I have received from my friend Angela. Don't you love it with those cute bunny ears? :) I have colored the image with derwent pencils and I applied some shades with blue chalk. The image was cut out with the circle nestabilities. I printed on a piece of linen structure paper the striped background. The sentiment was stamped with the Everyday greetings stamp set from Elzybells. I used an EK succes punch to create the border and on top of the border I placed a very thin ribbon.. The eggs were coloured with a clear spica glitter pen, but unfortunately you can't see that on my picture. :(

Papertake weekly - Easter

Goedeavond allemaal!

Goodevening everyone! Today I made this little bag for the last challenge of Papertake weekly This week you have to make an easter card or project. The bag that I made for this project was already made a year ago. Last year I made a similar bag and I also cut this bag to decorate, but that never happened. :) So this year I had a second chance. I used a lovely image from Elizabeth from Softpencil on my bag. The image Painting eggs with Michu and Ratiny was coloured with derwent pencils and the eyes of the animals are coloured with a black glaze pen. The image was cut out with the oval nestabilities. I have cut the little mouse and used foamtape to adhere it on the bag. I decorated the front of the bag with flowers that I made with the floral punches from Nellie Snellen.

The sentiment was stamped with the stamp set Everyday greetings from Elzybells. It was cut out with the oval nestabilities. The bag closes with a piece of velcro.

Paas sneak peek Tiddlyinks

Hoi allemaal!

Hi everyone! Today I can show you a little sneak peek of one of the new images from Christy Croll! Christy's new shop Tiddly inks will open in the beginning of april and because of that Christy asked me to make something with on of her new images that will be for sale in her new shop. (For now you can go to her etsy store if you want to buy some of her images) I wanted to make a little bag with the sweet easter girl. Very nice to fill it up with some easter eggies! :o I have cut the image out with the silhouette and I also cut a larger shadow of the image out of pink doodlebug cardstock to use as a layer under the image. The girl is coloured with derwent and caran d'ache pencils. As always I have coloured the eyes of the girl with a black glaze pen. I have used a quickutz die to cut the 2 little tags and I used a black fineliner to write the sentiment (Happy easter) on them. I did some faux stitxhing with a green fineliner on the edges of the tag. I made a bow from white satin ribbon on the handle.

Baby carrouselkaart Eline Pellinkhof

Goedemorgen allemaal!

Goodmorning everyone! This is my second carrousel card (see the tutorial) that I made for a Dutch magazine. This time I made a babycard. Eline Pellinkhof just released a couple of new baby stamps. One of these sets also has a lot of accesories in it, so they are perfect for a carrousel card. I have coloured all the images with derwent pencils and the eyes are coloured with a black glaze pen.

This is the front of my card.I have used all kinds of design papers that I have printed myself on the whole card. So everything matches perfectly. On the front I have used a striped pattern. I have cut a frame with the circle nestabilities out of white paper and I have placed the sitting baby in front of it. I have used embroidery thread to make the embellishments on the circle. In the right corner I added 2 white hotfix stones. The card closes with a bow of white ribbon.

On my first page I have chosen for another pattern. The images are attached to each other with a little ring. I have punched 4 edges with a EK succes border punch and attached these to the side panels.

I left this page white on the outside and on the inside I used a gingham pattern. I have cut 2 strips from the striped pattern and attached these to the side panels. On top of them I attached a couple of butterflies and flowers, that I stamped first.

On the 3th page I have chosen to use a dotted pattern. I used a rather large image in the circle, but because it wouldn't fit, I have chosen to use only part of the image. The side panels are deorated with peel off lines, dots and hearts.

The front of the 4th page is white again and on the inside I used a dotted patern. I have cut with the Olivia alphabet from quickutz the sentiment (hurray a sweet girl) and added these letters around the circle.

On the last page I used a pink gingham pattern. I have used a peel off to create the edge next to the circle. I have stamped 10 little flowers and places these on the side panels.

Tutorial Carrousel-kaart

Hi everyone, as promised I will now give you my tutorial for my card from this morning. I made a lot of pictures when I made my card, so hopefully everything will become clear in the end. The quality of the pictures isn’t really well, because I made them in the evening when I had bad light.

Cut 10 sheets of paper at 9 by 18 cm. Fold 5 of these cards in half with the good side of the paper on the inside.

Glue these 5 cards together. Glue the back of one folded card to the front of another folded card. This way you get a little book.

This is another picture of the book you made.

Take the other 5 cards and draw a cross on the backside exactly in the middle of the card. Use the cross as a reference to cut a circle (about 5 cm) exactly in the center of the card.

Take these 5 cards and put them on the table with the good side of the paper up and make a mountain fold on 9 cm and 2 valley folds on 4,5 and 13,5 cm. Your card looks like this:

Dit is een bovenaanzicht van de kaart.

This is what the card looks like.

You can now decorate the cards in the little book (if you want to). I have drawn some clouds on one of my cards with chalk. I have cut a cloud out of a piece of paper and coloured it on my card with blue chalks. I have fixated the image with hair spray.

Now you take the 5 cards with the aperture in them. You can add double sided tape on the sides of the card (see the picture). Glue these pages in your book. Open the book on the first page and glue the card against the outer edge of the card. Go on until you have glued all the cards in the book.

Stamp or print all your images and colour them all.

Punch a little hole in all your images and add a little ring. I have placed a piece of sheet between the heads of the bunny and the girl. This way you can punch the hole in the sheet and that way the image will hang straight in the circle.

Use your punch to punch holes above the circles exactly on the fold. Now you can hang the images in your card.

This is what the book looks like from above.

And this is what it looks like when the card is closed.

Take 2 pieces of ribbon that are each 18 cm long. Glue these in the middle of car on the front and last page of the book. This way the book can be closed with a bow.

I forgot to take pictures of how I made the cover for the book. Take a piece of paper from 9 by 20 cm for the cover. Start with attaching the cover to the front of the book (Don’t do the backside at this moment!). Now carefully fold the cover to the back and then glue it on the back of the book. Maybe you have to cut a strip from the cover because it is too long.

DU2DS 034- Pasen

Goedemorgen allemaal! :)

Goodmorning everyone! It is friday again and that means that it is time for another challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This time we want to see easter cards. This card (and another baby card that I will post tomorrow) is publiced in a Dutch craft magazine (hobbyjournaal) The card is actually a sort of book and when you open it, it looks like a carrousel. I saw an example on this site and I liked it so much that I wanted to make my own version.

This is the front of my card. For the whole card I have used digital stamps from CC. Designs. I used 2 different sets: Gingersnaps spring thing and Hunny bunny. All the images are coloured with derwent pencils. I added some accents with a white gelpen. The eyes of the bunnies and the girl are coloured with a black glaze pen. All the design paper that I used is from Doodlebug. It is perfect for an easter card with all those lovely spring colours. On the front of the card I have placed a little bunny. I have cut 3 squares out of pink, green and blue paper and on top of them I placed a punched white flower. The white flowers are coloured with a clear spica glitter pen. I used a satin green ribbon to close my card.

On the first page I used a cute little sheep. After I had coloured him, I gave him a nice fur with white fun flock. So soft! I have cut the grass with the help of the silhouette and I placed it under the image.

On the second page I have used the image of the little girl. I have cut her out after I was done with colouring. Becuase the ears are to far from the middle of the image, I couldn't hang it up straight, so I have placed a little piece of mica behind the image and I used that piece to add the ring to hang the image in the circle. On this page I placed another grass strip. I have printed a couple of eggs in 3 different sizes. I decorated them with a black fineliner and then I placed them in the grass, so it looks like they are hidden in the grass. I have made a cloud background behind the image with blue chalk.

On the 3th page I have placed a circle with a sentiment (Happy easter). I started with printing the sentiment and then I cut it out with my circle nestabilities. I coloured some little circles on the big circle with a black fineliner and then I coloured them with a pink, green, yellow and blue fineliner.

For this page I have printed 3 eggs in 3 different sizes. I decorated these eggs with a black fineliner. I have made holes in all the eggs and then I placed them under each other.

On the last page I used another bunny. Again I have used a piece of mica to place behind the image.

The card closes with a bow of green satin ribbon.
I have written a tutorial of how to make this card. It is a lot of work, but it is really nice to do! I will post it later today on my blog.

Bruine verjaardagskaart

Hoi hoi!

Hi! I made this card last weekend. I was inspired by a card that I saw on the blog of Nicole Heady. I loved the layout so much that I wanted to make my own version of the card. I wanted use other colours than I normally use on my cards, so I decided to make a brown card. For the card I used brown bazzil cardstock. The brown flower paper is from a set that I bought at a dutch store a few months ago. The 3 flowers were made with the floral punches from Nellie Snellen. I love how they turned out, the structure of the paper makes them look so beautiful! I used some copper hotfix stones in the middle of the flowers. I have printed the sentiment (happy birthday) on a piece of white paper and I placed two bigger copper hotfix stones next to it.

Yesterday I made this card with the sketch from Sketch saturday. I really wanted to make a card with my new plaid background stamp from Darkroom door. I had to have it after seeing the fantastic cards that Stamping Mathilda made with it. :) On my card I again used a digital stamp from Christy Croll. This will be the last month that she sells her stamps in Etsy in her store Tiddly inks, and after that she will open a new shop on her own website where you immediately can download the images. :) Joy bugg was coloured with derwent pencils and next to the image I have coloured with blue chalks. I saw this on Inge's blog and I love the effect! The eyes of my little bug are coloured with a black glaze pen. The image was cut out with the square nesties. On a piece of white paper I printed the black dots. On a strip of white paper I stamped with the plaid background. I used an EK succes border punch to punch the border that I placed under the plaid strip. The flowers were made with dies from Joy crafts and I added some dots to them with a white gelpen. In the middle of the flowers I placed a black cabochon. The sentiment is from Elzybells.

Eline Pellinkhof paaskaartje

Yesterday I finished this card. It is for 2 challenges, because both Our creative corner and Stampin' for the weekend ask for a easter card. I think most of you already know that I love the Stamps from Eline Pellinkhof. Eline also sells digital stamps at Squigglefly. Last week I found a couple of new ones and I used them to make this easter card. The large image is easter egg baby and I coloured it with derwent pencils. The image was cut out with the circle nestabilities. I doodled a bit with a black fineliner. The little ducks that I used next to the the sentiment (happy easter) are from the duck set (which has 3 little cute ducks in it). I mirrored it and printed the sentiment in the middle. These ducks are also coloured with derwent pencils. The eyes of the baby and all the ducks are coloured with a black glaze pen. I have printed the yellow dots on white paper. I decorated the card with a couple of hotfix stones.

Twee kaartjes

Stom he!

I have made these 2 cards last weekend. I was inspired by a card that I saw somewhere on the internet, but I can't remember where I saw it. So stupid! I have printed the sentiment (congratulations and get well on the cards. I have cut a strip of the green and brown dotted paper. I have punched the edges with a Martha Stewart punch. The circles are cut with my nestabilities. The flowers and branches are made with the Nellie Snellen floral punches. So pretty with the embossed effect. I added a little flower to the flowers on the brown card. The cards were decorated with a bow from white ribbon.

Elzybells challenge - Mother's day

Hi!

Hi! Today I have made this card for the Elzybells challenge. You have to make a mother's day card and follow a great sketch. The stamp that I used is the cute sheep from the Elzybells clear stamp set From me to ewe. I love this little cutie with his flower. I first coloured the sheep with my derwent pencils. Then I stamped the image again on green gingham paper to create his fur. The eyes are coloured with a black glaze pen. The image was cut out with the rectangle nesties. I did some faux stitching with a white gelpen at the edges of my green card. Then I stamped the sentiment in the corner. I stamped the little flower that is from the same stamp set a couple of time in the corners and cut them all out. Then I placed them at random on my card.

Verjaardagskaartje

Hi!

Hi! Today I have made this card. I used the silhouette to cut the flower out of a piece of white paper. I stamped on the white paper with a background stamp with the strawberry fool hybrid ink from Elzybells. I have drawn the stem of the flower with a black gelpen. A black button was used as the heart of the flower. First I tied a little bow in it. The sentiment is stamped and was punched with the stampin up word window punch. I have rounded the corners of the card with the corner chomper. The pink cardstock is also from Elzybells.

Friday sketchers 93

Goedemorgen allemaal!

Goodmorning everyone! It is my father's birthday today and you may guess how old he is now? ;) I made him a last minute card yesterday evening. On my card I used the sketch from the friday sketchers. The image I used is Jim from the digistamp boutique. All the Jim images are so perfect for male cards and this one was just perfect for my fathers card. I have coloured Jim with derwent pencils. The image was cut out with the square nestabilities. I doodled a bit with a white gelpen on the edges of the darkblue square. I have printed the houndstooth pattern on white cardstock. From darkblue paper I have cut a strip and I attached some white cabochons on top of it. The sentiment is computer generated and I punchhed it with the stampin up word window punch. I made the 60 with the Phoebe alphabet from quickutz and placed it in the corner instead of the flowers.

DU2DS 033 - No patterned paper

Hi everyone, it's friday again and that means that we have a new challenge for your from the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp design team. This week we want to see a card without patterned paper on it. Not an easy challenge for most people. Normally I don't have a problem with it, but this time I also had some problems while making my card. It has been a busy week and I had to do some other stuff. The image I used is from Christy Croll and you can buy it in her shop Tiddly inks. Joy bugg was coloured with derwent pencils. Her eyes are coloured with a black glaze pen and I have drawn white dots on her hat and dress with a white gelpen. The image was cut out with my nesties and I doodled on the white squares with a black gelpen. I also doodled on the red card. I have used black and white dotted ribbon under the image. I decorated my card with a few black hotfix stones.

Luke

On the 11th of februari the second grandson of my dear blogfriend Sue was born. The perfect occasion to send her a card. For my project I was inspired by the flag stamps from Eline Pellinkhof. So I made a banner with the name of the baby and the cute babystamps from Eline.

The flags are all cut with the silhouette. I have used yellow and blue ink and a stickystencil from Crealies to create the dots on them. I did some faux stitching with a yellow and blue fineliner. All the babies are coloured with derwent and caran d'ache pencils. The eyes were coloured with a black glaze pen and I used a white gelpen for some accents. I cut all the babies out and mounted them on the flags with foamtape. I have added a letter L on the little flag that the baby is holding. It is from a clear alphabet stamp set from Elzybells.

Magnolia hugs

I made this card a while ago for valentines day, but I haven't posted it yet on my blog. I have coloured this sweet magnolia with distress inks and then I cut her out. Her eyes were coloured with a black glaze pen. I used the magnolia design paper on my card. I think it was originally from the christmas collection, but I think you can also use it on a valentines card. :) The red cardstock is Core'dinations paper. The flower was made with the floral punches from Nellie Snellen. I have added a black hotfix stone in the middle of the flower. The sentiment Hugs was made with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz.

Yesterday evening I made this card for 2 challenges. Marianne design started this week with their challengeblog and for the forst challenge they want to see a babycard. Papertake weekly have the theme Buttons, bows, brads and bling. You don't have to use them all on your card, just pick what you want to use. The babycard was a good excuse to play with my new Eline Pellinkhof babystamps. All the images are in the same set except for the sentiment (welcome little one). All the images are coloured with derwent pencils. I have coloured the balloon with a clear spica glitter pen. The sentiment was stamped with blue ink. I used the round nestabilities to cut all the images out. On my white card I printed the blue gingham pattern and in the corner I added a tiny bow from blue cord.

My other hobby is reading and I really love to make my own bookmarks. Last weekend I started with making these two bookmarks. The first bookmark was made using a digital stamp from Elisabeth Bell. She is now selling digital stamps and although she doesn't have a lot of stamps yet, I thought this one was perfect for a bookmark. :) The bookmark are pretty simple almost without embellies because they have to go in a book. I have cut a strip of darkblue papicolor cardstock (7 by 24 cm) and folded it in half. On the front I added a piece of blue gingham paper. I have stamped with dark blue ink on the gingham paper with a swirl stamp set from Whiff of joy. I punched a couple of little flowers out of dark blue paper and glued them on top of the swirls. With a white gelpen I have drawn the hearts in the flowers. The image, A tasy read. was coloured with derwent pencils. I used blue chalk to colour round the girl. The white dots were drawn with a white gelpen. After I was done with colouring I used hairspray to fixate the chalk.

Here you can see the bookmark inside my book. :) On the inside of the bookmark I used thin magnets. This way it doesn't fall out of your book very easily. The magnets are covered with darkblue paper.

The second bookmark was made with a very cute image from Christy Croll, you can find it in her shop Tiddly inks. Fun in the sun nap is coloured with derwent and caran d'ache pencils. I have followed a tutorial from Paula for the grass. Paula is the queen of colouring and her grass allways looks so awesome! This was my first try and I like it. Next time I need to sharpen my pencils a bit more when I draw the grass. I used blue chalk to colour the clouds behind the image. I have cut the clouds out of a piece of paper and coloured them with the chalks. It is very subtle, but when you clock on the picture you can see it very well. I have coloured the flowers with a clear spica glitter pen. I used the oval nestabilities to cut the image out. The pink cardstock is the new cardstock from Elzybells, strawberry fool. I have printed the blakc dots on top of it. I made a tiny bow from black satin ribbon and together with a piece of ribbon I glued it on the bookmark.

Again I used tiny magnets on the inside of the bookmark, so it will stay in place in my book.
