As you like it challenge 111 - Favourite embellishment and why

Goodmorning, this is my second blogpost from today. Earlier today I have posted a card for the Gerda Steiner designs and now I am posting my card for the As you like it challenge blog. This time we want you to use your favourite embellishment on your card. Most of the times my cards are pretty simple without a lot of fuss, but there are 2 kinds of embellishments I reguraly use. First of all I loves dies with stitched or pierced edges, because they give a little something extra. My second favourite are my hotfix gems. I use them very often and I enjoy using them. Hotfix gems are gems with a glue layer on their backs. With a hotfix tool that gets hot, you can melt the glue layer and the hotfix gems stick to the paper (or even fabric). Hotfix gems are available in many sizes, shapes and colours available.

For today's challenge I made a card with the digital stamp Chin up buttercup from Di's digi stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. I have added a scalloped rectangle that I have cut from white cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 56 from Crealies. I have adhered the image with foamtape on top of the scalloped rectangle. From yellow design paper from the Sweet celebrations paperpack from My favorite things I have die-cut a rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies and I adhered it on a white card. Then I adhered the image on the card. Then I decorated the card with black hotfix gems. In the buttercups I used really tiny gems. For the noses and the eyes I used a bit bigger hotfix gem.

STAMP: Chin up buttercup from Di's digi stamps, Sweet little sentiments from Clearly besotted stamps
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils
PAPER: White cs, Sweet celebrations paperpack from My favorite things
INK: Versafine onyx black
DIES: Crea-nest-lies XXL 44, 52 and 56 from Crealies
ACCESSORIES: Black hotfix gems

Guestdesigner Gerda Steiner designs - Pool piggies (part 2)

As you like it challenge blog online. Vandaag dus nummer 2!

Goodmorning, today another Gerda Steiner designs post from me. Later today I will also post for the As you like it challenge blog. This month I am guest designing for Gerda Steiner designs. I have received the stampset Pool piggies from Gerda Steiner designs and I made 4 cards with it. This is number 2.

My card from today is a pretty easy one, but because of all the colouring I had to do, it took a while to finish. On a piece of white cardstock I stamped a couple of sunbathing piggies from tehe stamp set Pool piggies from Gerda Steiner designs and then I masked the piggies and stamped the bath towels. I have coloured all images with my Polychromos pencils. I have used many bright happy colours to give the card a nice siummer feeling. I have die-cut the cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies and then I adhered the rectangle with foamtape on a kraft card. On a piece of black cardstock I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and then I embossed it with white embossingpowder. I have cut the sentiment into a banner shape and then I added faux stitching with a white gelpen.

STAMP: Pool piggies from Gerda Steiner designs
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils
PAPER: White and black cs, Kraft card
INK: Versamark ink, Versafine onyx black
DIES: Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies
ACCESSORIES: White embossingpowder, white gelpen.

Tag with a turtle

Goodmorning, today I am posting a tag that I made with the digital stamp Hello friend turtle from Gerda Steiner designs. I changed the colour of the lines from this image on the computer. This way they were not black when I printed them, but a light grey colour. This way I could use the no-line colouring method on this image. I have used my Polychromos pencils to colour the image and then I fussy cut it.
From white cardstock I cut the largest tag from the Anytime tags die set from Lil inkers. I have cut the bottom part from the tag from yellow design paper from the Kraft in colour - colour paperpad from Doodlebug and also the little ring. I adhered those on the tag after I embossed the tag with the Polka dots embossing folder from Quickutz. On the yellow design paper I stamped a sentiment from the stampset Happy hoppy from Gerda Steiner designs. And then I tied white embroidery floss around the tag. I have die-cut a little heart from red cardstock with the Holiday hearts stars craft die from Simons says stamp. Then I I tied white ribbon through the tag.

STAMP: Hello friend turtle and Happy hoppy from Gerda Steiner designs
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils
PAPER: White and red cs, Kraft in colour - colour paperpad from Doodlebug
INK: Versafine onyx black
DIES: Anytime tags die set from Lil inkers, Holiday hearts stars craft die from Simons says stamp
ACCESSORIES: White embroidery floss, Polka dots embossing folder from Quickutz, White ribbon

Polkadoodles - Helga hippo says hi

Goodmorning, today I am posting a card with a sweet hippo on it. This is Helga hippo - Say hi from Polkadoodles. I have coloured Helga with my Polychromos pencils and I coloured her dress with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen. Then I have fussy cut the image. I have cut a large banner from white cardstock with the Stitched jumbo fishtail banner stax from My favorite things. Because I used a special way to cut the banner, I was able to make it a bit longer so the image could fit on it. I tied a white ribbon around it. With the Journaling alpha dies from Neat and tangled I have die-cut the word hi from black cardstock and I adhered the letters on the banner. With the Tiny tags die from Papertrey ink I have cut a little heart from black cardstock and I adhered it next to the image. On a white card I adhered pink heart design paper from the Tiny hearts pastels paperpad from My favorite things and then I adhered the banner with foamtape on the card.

Guestdesigner Gerda Steiner designs - Pool piggies (part 1)

Goodmorning, today I am posting a card, because I was asked to be a guestdesigner for Gerda Steiner designs again and if you read the title of this blogpost, you will know that soon I will be posting  another post. I have received the stamp set Pool piggies from Gerda Steiner designs and I made 4 cards in total. Today I am posting the first card.

My first card is a spinnercard. I stamped the air matress and the reading piggy from the set Pool piggies from Gerda Steiner designs twice and then I coloured all 4 images with my Polychromos pencils. The air matress had almost the same shape on both sides, so I could stick the images together on both back sides of the image. I adhered some fishing thread between the both images. I have adhered a piggy on each side of the matress images. On a aheet of white cardstock I stamped a stripey background with the Pinstripe from My favorite things with real red ink from Stampin up. I die-cut a hole and a square from the striped paper with the Crea-nestlies XXL 33 & 34 from Crealies. I used the circle dies again to cut a circle frame from red cardstock and to cut a aperture in the front panel of a red card. I adhered the fishing thread above and below the aperture and then I adhered the striped paper and the circle frame then on the front of the card. Now you can spin the image and if you let the image go, it will spin really hard.

Now you can turn the image a couple of times and when you let the image ago, it will spin really hard.

Inside the card I adhered a square shape of watercolor paper. I made a wavy background on it with Derwent inktense blocks. I stamped a couple of fish from the stampset Lucky duck from Gerda Steiner designs and coloured those with my Polychromos pencils. I adhered them on the background, so it just looks like the piggy is floating in a sea. ;)

STAMP: Pool piggies and Lucky duck from Gerda Steiner designs, Pinstripe from My favorite things
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils, Derwent inktense blocks
PAPER: White and red cs, watercolour paper
INK: Versafine onyx black, Real red ink from Stampin up
DIES: Crea-nestlies XXL 33 & 34 from Crealies
ACCESSORIES: Black glaze pen, Fishing thread

Fairytale challenge 173 - Beloved family

Goodmorning, today a new challenge starts on the Fairytale challenge blog. This time our challenge is Beloved family, so you have to make something special for a special someone in your family. I made 2 cards for this challenge for my little cousins Menno and Niek. A while ago they were going on vacation to Italy and I wanted to give them some pocket money. I decided to make a card and a matching envelope to give them the money. The boys were really happy and they bought a toy car and dinosaur. ;)

I used the stamp set Beach day from Neat and tangled. On Nieks card I decided to use the rhino stamp . After I stamped all images, I coloured them all with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. Then I have fussy cut all the images. With the Borderlines trio Creative cuts from Mama elephant I made a beach and 2 rows of waves. I coloured them with Antique linen and faded jeans distress oxide ink from Ranger. I added an extra accent on the waves with the Curvy lines stencil from Create a smile stamps and some water, but you can hardly see it. From white cardstock I cut a rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies and I made a cloudy background on it with the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Blue breeze dye ink from My favorite things. After I adhered all the images on the rectangle, I adhered it on red cardstock and then I adhered everything on a kraft card.

I had some extra imges stamped and adhered those on the envelope. With the Journaling alphas - Nice and neat dies from Neat and Tangled I cut the name Niek from red cardstock and I adhered it on the envelope.

On Menno's card I used the elephant from the stampset Beach day from Neat and tangled. I kept almost everything the same except for the layout and this time I used yellow cardstock.

For Menno I also decorated the envelope. I have cut his name from yellow cardstock with the Journaling alphas - Nice and neat dies from Neat and Tangled.

STAMP: Beach day from Neat and tangled
COLORING MEDIUM: Polychromos pencils, Distress inks
PAPER: Kraft card
INK: Versafine onyx black, Blue breeze dye ink from My favorite things, Antique linen and faded jeans distress oxide ink from Ranger
DIES: Borderlines trio Creative cuts from Mama elephant, Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies, Journaling alphas - Nice and neat dies from Neat and Tangled
ACCESSORIES: Black glaze pen, Curvy lines stencil from Create a smile stamps, Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things

D's digi designs challenge - Just add water

Deze keer is onze challenge: Just add water.

As you like it challenge 110 - Favourite colour duo

As you like it challenge blog.

Goodmorning, today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog. This time we want you to use your favourite colour duo and you have to tell us why these colours are your favourite. I decided to make a card in really bright pink in combination with black. I love how bright the pink is and the black details really pop on the pink and it gives the pink something special.

This time we are being sponsored by Polkadoodles. So I decided to use the image Lil miss Sugarpops - Mailing a letter/Sending wishes from Polkadoodles. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies. I have cut a scalloped circle from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 from Crealies. Di's digi stamps - Congratulations it's your birthday!
