Hello, today a new challenge starts again on the As you like it challenge blog, and this time we are sponsored by Lee Holland. For this challenge, we would like to know what your favourite embellishment on a card is. I have chosen ribbon. It adds a lovely detail to a card, especially with a little bow in it. It doesn’t make the card much thicker, which is an added bonus.
I made a card using the digital stamp Bunny (retired) by Lee Holland. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, a Black glaze pen from Sakura and a White Uni Posca pen, and then I cut the image out. I die-cut the bottom of the image using a die from the Nellie's multi frames MFD089 Straight easter egg from Nellie Snellen, and then I used the same die to cut an egg shape from white cardstock. On the white egg, I created a cloudy background using the Mini Cloud Edges stencil by My Favourite Things (now out of business) and Peacock feathers Distress ink. I then adhered the image to the egg. On a white card base, I attached yellow polka dot paper from the Colour megapack brights from Find it media. I tied a white ribbon around it and then adhered the egg with the image to the card using foam tape. The sentiment was die-cut from white cardstock using The perfect fit alpha from A pocket full of happiness. After adhering the text to the card, I drew small dots on the letters with a black fineliner.
