Clearly besotted - Artist trading cards with wintersport hippo's

Hallo, de afgelopen maand lukte het me na lange tijd gelukkig weer om lekker creatief bezig te zijn. Ik heb veel nieuwe dingen gemaakt die ik al heb gepost en ook dingen die later te zien zullen zijn. Maar ik heb ook eindelijk eens de tijd genomen om foto's te maken van oude projecten die nooit op mijn blog terecht zijn gekomen en deze atc-tjes zijn daar een mooi voorbeeld van. Ik heb ze al in 2024 gemaakt, maar ze zijn nooit gepost.

Ik heb de atc's gemaakt met de stempelset Snow day play (retired) van Clearly besotted stamps. Ik heb deze afbeeldingen op aquarelpapier gestempeld en daarna heb ik ze ingekleurd met mijn Peerless watercolours. De oogjes van de nijlpaarden zijn gekleurd met een Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura. Ik heb de nijlpaarden daarna uitgeknipt. De achtergrond met het huisje en de bomen is ook gestempeld op aquarelpapier en nadat ik deze ook heb gekleurd met de Peerless watercolours, heb ik met Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white kleine verfspatjes aangebracht, zodat het lijkt alsof het sneeuwt. Daarna heb ik de nijlpaarden op mijn achtergrond geplakt. 

De basiskaart van mijn atc's heb ik uit zwart karton gesneden en daarna heb ik met de set ATC rechthoeken snijmallen (CDSN-0233) van Carlijn design eerst een postzegelvorm gestanst en daarna heb ik de achtergrond gestanst met de kleinere rechthoek. Ik heb daarna alle lagen op elkaar geplakt.  

Hello, over the past month I was thankfully able, after quite some time, to really enjoy being creative again. I made many new things which I have already shared, as well as some projects that will be shown later. I also finally took the time to photograph older projects that never made it onto my blog, and these ATCs are a good example of that. I made them back in 2024, but they were never posted.

I created the ATCs using the Snow day play (retired) by Clearly besotted stamps. I stamped the images onto watercolour paper and then coloured them with my Peerless watercolours. The hippos’ eyes were coloured using a Black glaze pen from Sakura. I then cut out the hippos. The background with the little house and the trees was also stamped onto watercolour paper and, after colouring it with the Peerless watercolours, I added small paint splatters using Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white to make it look like snow. I then adhered the hippos to the background.

I cut the base card for my ATCs from black cardstock. Using the ATC rechthoeken snijmallen (CDSN-0233) from Carlijn design, I first die-cut a postage stamp shape and then die-cut the background with the smaller rectangle. Finally, I adhered all the layers together.

Hallo, vandaag post ik een verjaardagskaart die ik al een tijd geleden heb gemaakt voor een lieve vriendin. Op mijn kaartje heb ik de digitale stempel Birthday mouse van Amanda Jayne designs gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en de Witte Uni Posca pen. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna uitgeknipt.

Ik heb een kaart van wit karton gemaakt. Op de voorkant van de kaart heb ik een extra laag wit karton gebruikt. Uit deze laag heb ik met de Congratulations die set van A pocket full of happiness de tekst gestanst. Ik heb de tekst ook uit zwart karton gestanst en daarna de zwarte letters weer terug geplakt in de gaten van de witte letters. Met een zwarte fineliner heb ik een lijntje langs de randen van het witte karton getekend. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 173 van Crealies heb ik een postzegel rand gestanst uit zwart karton en deze heb ik achter het witte karton geplakt. Op mijn kaart heb ik streepjespapier van het Spring sunburst paper pad van Sunny studio stamps geplakt en daarna heb ik het witte karton met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb de kaart versierd met kleine zwarte hotfix steentjes. 

Hello, today I’m sharing a birthday card that I made some time ago for a dear friend. On my card I used the digital stamp Birthday mouse by Amanda Jayne designs. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the Black glaze pen from Sakura and the White Uni Posca pen. I then cut out the image.

I made a card from white cardstock. On the front of the card I added an extra layer of white cardstock. From this layer I die-cut the sentiment using the Congratulations die set by A pocket full of happiness. I also die-cut the sentiment from black cardstock and then inlaid the black letters back into the openings of the white letters. Using a black fineliner, I drew a line around the edges of the white cardstock. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 173 by Crealies, I die-cut a postage stamp edge from black cardstock and adhered this behind the white cardstock. I added striped paper from the Spring sunburst paper pad from Sunny studio stamps, then mounted the white cardstock onto the card using foam tape. I finished the card by embellishing it with small black hotfix gems.

Ik heb de binnenkant van de kaart ook versierd en daarvoor heb ik de digitale stempel Balloon mouse van Amanda Jayne designs gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 173 van Crealies heb ik een postzegel rand aan een stuk zwart karton gestanst en dat heb ik in de kaart geplakt. Boven op het zwarte papier heb ik streepjespapier van het Spring sunburst paper pad van Sunny studio stamps geplakt en daarna heb ik de muis in de kaart geplakt.

I also decorated the inside of the card, using the digital stamp Balloon mouse by Amanda Jayne designs. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the Black glaze pen from Sakura and a White Uni Posca pen, then cut out the image. Using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 173 by Crealies, I die-cut a postage stamp edge from a piece of black cardstock and adhered this inside the card. On top of the black cardstock, I added striped paper from the Spring sunburst paper pad from Sunny studio stamps, and then glued the mouse inside the card.

Khadi fat book - A funny bird from Diane Antone

Hallo, vandaag laat ik een hele oude tekening zien die ik al een jaar geleden heb gemaakt, maar ik kwam er achter dat ik hem nog steeds niet hier had gedeeld en omdat ik hem leuk genoeg vind, heb ik besloten om hem alsnog te posten. 

Ik heb vorig jaar een Khadi fat book van Khadi papers. Het was de bedoeling om hier lekker veel in te experimenteren en kladderen, maar het afgelopen jaar is daar helaas niet veel van gekomen. Nu ben ik weer meer creatief bezig en hoop ik zo mijn boek langzaam te vullen. Maar ik heb vorig jaar toch wel een aantal tekeningen in het boek gemaakt en daar deel ik er vandaag eentje van. Niet alles is leuk genoeg om te posten maar dit grappige vogeltje vind ik dus wel leuk geworden. Ik heb hiervoor een tutorial uit de video How to create easy Blobby bird paintings - Line and wash for everyone van Diane Antone Studio gevolgd. Ik heb de vogel getekend met zwarte fineliners en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met Aquarelverf van Rosa gallery. Ik vond hem erg leuk om te doen!

Hello, today I’m sharing a very old drawing that I made over a year ago. I realised that I still hadn’t shared it here, and because I like it enough, I decided to post it anyway.

Last year I bought a Khadi fat book from Khadi papers. The idea was to experiment and doodle in it a lot, but unfortunately that didn’t really happen over the past year. Now I’m being more creative again and I hope to slowly fill the book. I did make quite a few drawings in it last year, though, and today I’m sharing one of them. Not everything is nice enough to post, but I do really like how this funny little bird turned out.

For this piece I followed a tutorial from the video How to create easy Blobby bird paintings - Line and wash for everyone by Diane Antone Studio. I drew the bird with black fineliners and then coloured it in with Watercolour paint from Rosa gallery. I really enjoyed making it!

Hallo, vandaag begint weer de eerste challenge van het jaar op het  As you like it challenge blog en deze keer worden we gesponsord door Lili of the valley. Voor de challenge van vandaag heb ik een doosje gemaakt waar een reep chocolade in kan. Op het doosje heb ik de digitale stempel Elephant flowers van Lili of the valley gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna uitgeknipt. Met de Slimline C met ruwe randen (CLCZ183) (retired) from Crealies heb ik een rechthoek uit wit karton gestanst die perfect op mijn doosje past. Op het karton heb ik met het Mini cloud edges stencil (retired) van My favorite things (out of business) en Versafine clair Bali blue inkt een wolken achtergrond gemaakt. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op het rechthoek geplakt.

With a handmade card or a small handmade gift, you can make a birthday extra special, and I love doing that.

For today’s challenge, I made a little box that can hold a bar of chocolate. On the box, I used the digital stamp Elephant flowers from Lili of the valley. I coloured the image using my Polychromos pencils, a Black glaze pen from Sakura, and a White Uni Posca pen, and then fussy cut the image.

Using the Slimline C met ruwe randen (CLCZ183) (retired) from Crealies, I die-cut a rectangle from white card that fits perfectly on my box. On the card, I created a cloud background using the Mini Cloud Edges stencil (retired) from My Favorite Things (out of business) and Versafine clair Bali blue ink. I then adhered the image to the rectangle using foam tape.

De tekst heb ik met de Birthday wishes die-namics (retired) van My favorite things (out of business) uit oranje karton gestanst en die heb ik naast de afbeelding op het doosje geplakt.

The sentiment was die-cut from orange card using the Birthday Wishes Die-namics (retired) from My Favorite Things (out of business), and I adhered it next to the image on the box.

Ik heb het doosje gevuld met een lekker reep chocolade.

I have filled the box with a delicious chocolate bar.

LIli of the valley - Big hugs

Hallo, vandaag post ik een klein kaartje dat ik heb gemaakt met de digitale stempel Patch and Puss peekaboo van Lili of the valley. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. 

Ik heb een kaartje van rood karton gemaakt en daarna heb ik een vierkant gestanst uit zwart karton met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 128 van Crealies. Ik heb met een stans van de set Cardzz stansen 511 Dubbele kaart 10x10 cm (CLCZ511) van Crealies een vierkant uit wit karton gestanst. Ik heb daarna het vierkant gestanst met de Tweed cover plate die van Whimsy stamps, zodat er een leuk patroon op het vierkant komt. Ik heb het witte karton op het zwarte geplakt en daarna heb ik ze beiden met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt. Ik heb met de alfabet set Stencil SL355 (retired) van Studio light de woorden Big hug uit zwart karton gestanst en deze heb ik op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb de kaart daarna nog versierd met zwarte puffy hartjes van de stickerset Pegatinas puffy B&N (VVKM000747) (retired) van Kimidori colors. 

Hello, today I am sharing a small card that I made using the digital stamp Patch and Puss peekaboo by Lili of the valley. I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the Black glaze pen from Sakura, and a White Uni Posca pen, and then I fussy cut the image.

I made a card base from red cardstock and then die-cut a square from black cardstock using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 128 from Crealies. Using a die from the set Cardzz stansen 511 Dubbele kaart 10x10 cm (CLCZ511) by Crealies, I die-cut a square from white cardstock. I then die-cut the square with the Tweed cover plate die from Whimsy stamps to create a nice pattern on the square. I adhered the white cardstock to the black cardstock and then attached them both to my card using foam tape. I attached the image to my card with foam tape as well. Using the Stencil SL355 (retired) from Studio light, I die-cut the words “Big hug” from black cardstock and adhered them to the card. I then decorated the card with black puffy hearts from the Pegatinas puffy B&N (VVKM000747) (retired) from Kimidori colors.

Hallo, vandaag laat ik een verjaardags tag zien die ik heb gemaakt. Ik heb de tag versierd met de digitale stempel Summer mouse van Amanda Jayne designs. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen. en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Ik heb de onderkant van de afbeelding uitgestanst met de grote tag van de set Labels XL & Labels XS (CR1383) van Marianne design. Ik heb deze zelfde set gebruikt om mijn tag uit wit karton te stansen. Op de tag heb ik een wolken achtergrond gemaakt met Peacock feathers Distress inkt en het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things (out of business). Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op de tag geplakt. Ik heb een tekst van de Have a mice day clear stamps (retired) van Lili of the valley op de tag gestempeld. In het hartje van de bloemen heb ik een kristallen hotfix steentje geplakt.

I die-cut the bottom of the image using the large tag from the Labels XL & Labels XS (CR1383) from Marianne design. I used the same set to die-cut my tag from white card. On the tag, I created a cloudy background using Peacock feathers Distress ink and the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things (out of business).I adhered the image to the tag with foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from the Have a mice day clear stamps (retired) from Lili of the valley onto the tag. Finally, I added a crystal hotfix gem to the centres of the flowers.

My blogging planner 2026

Hallo, ook al heb ik mijn agenda vorig jaar nauwelijks gebruikt. omdat ik ook nauwelijks kaarten heb gemaakt, heb ik toch weer een nieuwe pagina gemaakt voor mijn blog agenda voor het jaar 2026.

Deze keer heb ik de digitale stempel Jack and Patch with big flower (retired) van Lili of the valley op mijn pagina geprint. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en ik heb weer lekker veel details aangebracht met de Witte Uni Posca pen. 

Hello, even though I hardly used my blog planner last year, as I also barely made any cards, I have still created a new page for my blog planner for the year 2026.

This time I printed the digital stamp Jack and Patch with big flower (retired) by Lili of the valley on my page. I coloured the image using my Polychromos pencils and the Black glaze pen from Sakura, and once again I added lots of details with the White Uni Posca pen.

Hallo, vandaag post ik een kaartje dat ik heb gemaakt met een digitale stempel uit de Cat moon bundle 1 van Sandra Herrgott. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Zwarte glaze pen van Sakura en een Witte Uni Posca pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. 

Ik heb met de Big stamp die van Gummiapan een rechthoek uit wit karton gestanst en daarna heb ik de binnen-rechthoek en de randen van een witte kaart gekleurd met Broken China, Prized ribbon en Chipped sapphire Distress inkt. Ik heb met Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white kleine verfspatjes op de rechthoek aangebracht. 

Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op het rechthoek geplakt. Onder de afbeelding heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Handletter rainbow 2 van Craft emotions (out of business) gestempeld met Versamark inkt en daarna heb ik deze geëmbost met witte embossingpoeder. Ik heb daarna de rechthoek met afbeelding en de postrand met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt.

Using the Big stamp from Gummiapan, I die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock. I then coloured the inner rectangle and the edges of a white card base with Broken China, Prized ribbon, Chipped sapphire Distress ink. I added small paint splatters to the rectangle using Dr. Ph Martin's Bleedproof white.

I attached the image to the rectangle with foam tape. Under the image, I stamped a sentiment from the Handletter rainbow 2 from Craft emotions (out of business) using Versamark ink, and then heat embossed it with white embossingpowder. Finally, I adhered the rectangle with the image and the postage edge to my card using foam tape.
