As you like it - Dry or heat embossing

As you like it challenge blog.

Today a new challenge has started on the As you like it challenge blog. This time our challenge is Dry or heat embossing. You have to tell us which technique you prefer and why! I love both ways of embossing, but most of the times I use the technique of heat embossing. I really love that you can use this to add white sentiments onto coloured cardstock. If you heat embos an image, you get a little raised edge and that is really awesome when I am watercolouring. I am not really experencied with watercolouring, so it is an easy way to stay inside the lines. ;)

This time I made a card with a stampset from Clearly besotted stamps. I stamped an image from the set Say it with flowers from Clearly besotted stamps on watercolour paper with black ink and then I heat embossed the image with clear embossingpowder. Then I coloured the image with the Mijello mission gold watercolours. Under the image I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from the same stampset. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. I have die-cut a larger rectangle from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies and adhered them both on a pink card. I decorated the card with a couple of black hotfix gems.
