Miss you pig time!

Goodmorning, this is day 23 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

In the Netherland we are celebrating Sinterklaas right now and we have a lot of sinterklaas candy in the stores right now. My mother loves the traditional sinterklaas candy marzipan really much (Brrr I really don't like it) and when I found this cute marzipan pig, I had to buy it for her.

With the silhouette I designed a matching box for the pig and I decorated it with the really cute pigs from the stampset Hog heaven from My favorite things. I stamped the images with Milk chocolate dye ink from My favorite things to give them a softer look. I have coloured all the images with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I fussy cut all the images. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies I cut a rectangle from white cardstock and I made a cloudy background on it with Soap powder ink from Jenni Bowlin. From white cardstock I cut two hills with the Simple stitched hillside border lawn cuts from Lawn fawn and I cloured those green with Twisted citron and Mowed lawn distress ink. Then I adhered all images with foamtape on the rectangle. I added a funny sentiment from the stamp set.

Inside the box I made a frame and there is a hole in the middle for the pig. I decorated the frame with some left over flowers from my stamped images. In the hole I made a little grassy place for the pig with the silhouette. I made a cover from a transparancy sheet that fits exactly in the hole in the frame.

Dit is het frame

  3. Hey Larissa,

    Liefs,
    Nancy

  6. This is gorgeous Larissa. I love the sweet little piggy but I'm not keen on marzipan myself, although he's far to cute to eat! Love the box you've made for him. Adorable. xx
