As you like it challenge 132 - Favourite cardshape/fold and why

Goodmorning, this is day 7 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.


Vandaag begint de nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze keer laten we onze favoriete kaartenvorm zien. Sinds ik de gave crea-nest-lies XXL dies van Crealies heb vind ik het erg leuk om ronde kaarten te maken. Deze stansen zijn namelijk net zo groot als een normale vierkante kaart en dus kun je een normaal formaat kaart maken. De ronde vorm is even net wat anders en daar kan ik de mooie look mee creeren van een witte scallop kaart met daarop nog een witte laag. Gewoon heel mooi. :)

Ik heb vandaag een kaartje gemaakt met de stempelset Choose hapiness van Love Cynthia. Ik heb een aantal afbeeldingen en bloemen gestempeld en deze vervolgens ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en vervolgens heb ik alles uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 73 van Crealies heb ik een cirkel uit wit karton gestanst. Hier heb ik met het Drifts and hills stencil van My favorite things een achtergrond gemaakt. Voor het gras heb ik Mowed lawn distress inkt gebruikt en voor de lucht heb ik Tumbled glass en Broken china distress inkt gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeeldingen met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. De tekst komt uit dezelfde stempelset. De kaart is zelf gemaakt met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 van Crealies.


Today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog and this time we are showing you our favourite cardshape/fold. Since I own the awesoem Crea-nest-lies XXL dies from Crealies I really love making circle shaped cards. These dies have the same size as my normal cards, so my circle cards is just as large as my normal cards, which I really like. I love the round shape and I love the beautiful look that I can create with a white scalloped card and then I a white circle on top of it. So pretty. ;)

 Today I made a card with the stampset Choose hapiness from Love Cynthia. I have stamped a couple of images and then I coloured them all with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I have fussy cut all the images. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 73 from Crealies I have die-cut a circle from white cardstock and made a background for the images on it with the Drifts and hills stencil from My favorite things. I used Mowed lawn distress ink for the grass and Tumbled glass and Broken china distress ink for the sky. I adhered all the images with foamtape on the card. The sentiment is from the same stampset. I have created the card with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 from Crealies from white cardstock.


De binnenkant van de kaart is ook nog versierd met wat bloemetjes van de stempelset Choose hapiness van Love Cynthia.

The inside of the card is also decorated with some flowers from the stampset Choose hapiness from Love Cynthia.

Gerda Steiner designs - Happy birthday!

Goodmorning, this is day 6 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.


Vandaag post ik een verjaardagskaartje dat ook op het blog van Gerda Steiner designs te zien is. Ik heb een kaart gemaakt met de stempelset Hippo in disguise van Gerda Steiner designs. Deze stempelset is echt heel slim gemaakt. Want je stempelt eerst de hippo met cape en dan heb je allerlei kleine stempels waarmee je hem in een superman of dracula kunt laten veranderen. Erg leuk. Voor mijn kaartje van vandaag heb ik ervoor gekozen om mijn hippo een superheld te laten worden. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Uit een stuk wit karton heb ik een rechthoek gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies en daarna heb ik hieruit weer een cirkel gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 van Crealies. Uit een stuk paars design papier van de Gingham linen rainbow petite prints van Doodlebug heb ik met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 van Crealies een iets grotere rechthoek dan de witte rechthoek gestanst. Ik heb de witte rechthoek met foamtape op de paarse geplakt en daarna heb ik ze samen op een witte kaart geplakt. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Uit geel karton heb ik met de Lots of stars creative cuts van Mama elephant een aantal sterretjes gestanst en die heb ik op de kaart geplakt. De tekst komt uit de stempelset Happy hoppy van Gerda Steiner designs. 


Today I am posting a birthday card that also will be posted on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. I made a card with the stampset Hippo in disguise from Gerda Steiner designs. This is a really clever designed stampset. You start of with stamping the hippo with the cape and then there are couple of small stamps in the set that you can use to turn your hippo into a superhero or in a dracula. Really awesome! For my card from today I wanted my hippo to be a superhero. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. From a piece of white cardstock I have die-cut a rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies and then I have die-cut a circle out of the rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies. I have die-cut a larger rectangle from purple design paper from the Gingham linen rainbow petite prints from Doodlebug with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. I adhered the white rectangle on top of the purple design paper with foamtape and then I adhered them both on a white card. I added the image with foamtape on the card. From yellow cardstock I have die-cut a couple of stars with the Lots of stars creative cuts from Mama elephant and I placed those on the card. The sentiment is from the set Happy hoppy from Gerda Steiner designs.

Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Goodmorning, this is day 5 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.



Vandaag post ik een simpel kaartje gemaakt met een stempel van Lili of the valley. Deze stempel heb ik een tijd geleden van een lieve blogvriendin gekregen. Helaas is de afbeelding niet meer verkrijgbaar als rubber stempel, maar nog wel als dgitale stempel. Dit is Just chilling van Lili of the valley. Ik heb de afbeelding rechtstreeks op een witte kaart van Kars gestempld en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Er zitten teksten bij de stempel, maar die vond ik wat te klein voor dit kaartje. Daarom heb ik een tekst van een setje van Ladybug crafts ink gebruikt. Helaas bestaat dit merk niet meer, maar ik moest de tekst gewoon gebruiken omdat die gewoon erg goed bij de afbeelding past.


Today I am posting a simple card that I made with a stamp from Lili of the valley. I have gotten this stamp a while ago from a sweet blogging friend. Unfortunately the image isn't available as a rubber stamp any longer, but you can still get the digital stamp. This is Just chilling from Lili of the valley. I stamped the image on the front of a white card from Kars and then I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. There are a couple of sentiment stamps in the set, but I think they are a bit too small for this card. That is why I used a stamp from Ladybug crafts ink. Unfortunately this brand doesn't exist any longer, but I had to use this sentiment, because it is just perfect for this image.

Di's digi stamps - Ahoy matey!!!

Goodmorning, this is day 4 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.


Voor vandaag heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met een digitale stempel van Di's digi stamps. Deze keer heb ik de super schattige afbeelding Ahoy there micey van Di's digi stamps gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb de afbeelding vervolgens uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 van Crealies. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies heb ik een iets grotere rechthoek uit rood karton gestanst en hier heb ik de afbeelding op geplakt. Uit design papier van het Do what you love pretty paper bloc van Marianne design heb ik met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 van Crealies een groot vierkant gestanst en die heb ik op een rode kaart geplakt. Ik heb een tekst van de stempelset Pirate party van Clearly besotted (retired) op zwart karton gestempeld met versamark inkt en daarna heb ik deze geëmbost met witte embossingpoeder. Ik heb de tekst uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies en daarna heb ik deze onder de afbeelding geplakt. Ik heb de afbeelding vervolgens op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb uit rood karton een tabje gestanst met de Shape up die collection van Clearly besotted stamps en die heb ik op de afbeelding geplakt. Ik heb hier een strikje van zwart borduurgaren opgeplakt.


For today I made a card with a digital stamp from Di's digi stamps. This time I used the super adorable image Ahoy there micey from Di's digi stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies I have die-cut a larger rectangle from red cardstock and I adhered the image on top of it. From design paper from the Do what you love pretty paper bloc from Marianne design I have die-cut a large square with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 from Crealies and I adhered it on a red card. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Pirate party from Clearly besotted (retired) with versamark ink on black cardstock and then I have embossed it with white embossingpowder. I have die-cut the sentiment with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies and then I adhered it under the image. I have adhered the image on the card. I have die-cut a tab from red cardstock with the Shape up die collection from Clearly besotted stamps and I added it on the image. I made a little bow from black embroiderythread and placed it on top of the tab.

A present for my aunt

Goedemorgen, dit is dag 3 van de 30-day colouring challenge van Kathy Racoosin.

Goodmorning, this is day 3 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.



Vandaag laat ik een cadeauverpakking zien die ik voor de verjaardag van mijn tante heb gemaakt. Ik kwam deze rode zak tegen bij de Søstrene grene en het leek me leuk om die te gebruiken om de verjaardagscadeaus die ik voor mijn tante heb gekocht te verpakken. Op de zak heb ik de stempel Parade of flowers van Penny Black gebruikt. Ik heb de stempel met versamark inkt op aqaurel papier gestempeld en daarna heb ik deze geëmbost met witte embossingspoeder. De afbeelding is echt enorm groot en was daarom ook goed geschikt voor mijn zak. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met de Derwent inktense paint pan travel set. Ik heb de set nog niet lang en moet er nog wat mee oefenen, wat natuurlijk niet erg is, want ik vind het leuk om met de set te kleuren. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies. Uit zwart karton heb ik nog een scallop rechthoek gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 56 van Crealies en daarna heb ik de rechthoeken samen met foamtape op de zak geplakt. Uit zwart karton heb ik de tekst gestanst met de Stitched alphabet die-namics van My favorite things en deze heb ik boven en onder de afbeelding geplakt. Ik heb de zak gesloten met 2 grote zwarte paperclips. Aan één van de paperclips heb ik een zwart-wit geruit strikje gebonden.


Today I am showing you a gift package that I made for my aunts birthday. I found this red paper bag at the store Søstrene grene and thought it would be perfect to wrap my presents in. On the bag I used the stamp Parade of flowers from Penny Black. I stamped this image with versamark ink on watercolour cardstock and then I embossed it with white embossingpowder. The image is really huge, so it is perfect for my paper bag. I have coloured the image with the Derwent inktense paint pan travel set. I am still practising with this set, but I love colouring with it. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies. From black cardstock I have die-cut a scalloped rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 56 from Crealies and then I adhered them both on the card with foamtape. I have die-cut the sentiment and my aunts name with the Stitched alphabet die-namics from My favorite things and adhered it above and below the image. I closed the bag with 2 large black paperclips. I attached a tiny black and white gingham bow onto one of the paperclips.

Di's digi designs challenge - Weddings, anniversaries, showers etc.

Goedemorgen, dit is dag 2 van de 30-day colouring challenge van Kathy Racoosin.

Goodmorning, this is day 2 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.


Vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het Di's digi designs challenge blog en deze keer willen we graag een kaartje zien voor een huwelijk of een huwelijksjubileum. Ik heb een kaartje gemaakt met de afbeelding Congratulations mice van Di's digi stamps. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. De ballonnen heb ik gekleurd met de Clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 van Crealies heb ik 2 vierkanten uit wit karton gestanst. Op de eerste vierkant heb ik een wolkenachtergrond gemaakt met het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things en Tumbled glass distress inkt. Links bovenin de hoek heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Happy thoughts van My favorite things (retired) gestempeld. Het tweede vierkant is gestanst met de Grassy fields van My favorite things en daarna heb ik het gras gekleurd met Mowed lawn distress inkt. Ik heb ook nog zelf een soort weg getekend en nadat ik deze heb uitgeknipt heb ik deze gekleurd met Antique linen en Brushed corduroy distress inkt. Met een stempel van de set Anna's collection - Floral greetings van Hobby art clear (retired) heb ik met Brushed corduroy inkt een soort steentjes op de weg gestempeld. Ik heb alles op een paarse kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik een aantal bloemetjes met de Build a flower #3 embellishments van Cheery Lynn uit paars papier gestanst. Ik heb deze op de kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik deze versierd met een heel klein wit pareltje. 


Today a new challenge starts on the Di's digi designs challenge blog  and this time we want to see cards for weddings, anniversaries, showers etc. I made a card with the image Congratulations mice from Di's digi stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. The balloons and veil are all coloured with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle pen and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 50 from Crealies I have die-cut 2 squares from white cardstock. On the first square I made a cloudy background with the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Tumbled glass distress ink. In the left upper corner I stamped a sentiment from the set Happy thoughts from My favorite things (retired). I have die-cut the second square with the Grassy fields from My favorite things and then I coloured it with Mowed lawn distress ink. I have drawn a road and after I have cut it, I coloured the road with Antique linen and Brushed corduroy distress ink. I stamped on the road with a stamp from the set Anna's collection - Floral greetings from Hobby art clear that looks a lot like little stones with Brushed corduroy distress ink on the road. In the gras I added a couple of flowers that I have die-cut with the Build a flower #3 embellishments from Cheery Lynn. I decorated the flowers with a little white pearl.

The 30-day colouring challenge - Day 1!!!

Goedemorgen, dit is dag 1 van de 30-day colouring challenge van Kathy Racoosin. Vandaag begint de 10e editie van de 30-day colouring challenge en ik ga weer proberen mee te doen. Meestal lukt het me niet om echt 30 dagen te kleuren, maar dat is geen probleem, je kunt gewoon meedoen aan de challenge. Ik heb er in ieder geval zin in!

Goodmorning, this is day 1 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin. This is the 10th edition of the 30-day colouring challenge. Most of the times, I don't succeed to colour every day, but that doesn't matter, you still can participate. I am looking forward to the challenge!


Voor de eerste dag van de 30-day colouring challenge heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met een lief bijtje van de Digistamp boutique. Ik heb deze afbeelding laatst gebruikt op een andere kaart en aangezien ik 2 bijtjes had geprint, heb ik met de tweede afbeelding ook een kaart gemaakt. Dit is Bizzie Lizzie van The digistamp boutique. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Zig clean colour real brush markers, de black glaze pen en een witte gelpen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 van Crealies heb ik 2 geschulote cirkels uit wit karton gestanst en hier heb ik een kaart van gemaakt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 van Crealies heb ik uit blauw ruitjespapier en groen stipjespapier van de Spring folding sheets van Crelando 2 cirkels gestanst. De groene cirkel heb ik daarna ook nog gestanst met de Grassy hills die-namics van My favorite things en daarna heb ik ze beiden op de witte cirkels geplakt. Uit wit karton heb ik een aantal wolken gestanst met de Simple puffy clouds van Lawn fawn. De tekst van de stempelset Many mini messages van Clearly besotted is op een klein banner gestempeld die ik heb gestanst met de Flag it die collection van Clearly besotted. In het gras heb ik 3 kleine witte bloemetjes geplakt die ik heb gestanst met de Build a flower #3 embellishments van Cheery Lynn. In het midden van de bloemen heb ik een stipje gemaakt met de Crystal drops gloss English mustard van Nuvo. 


For this first day from the 30-day colouring challenge I made a card with a cute bee from the Digistamp boutique. I have used this image a while ago on a card and because I had printed 2 bees, I still had one image left for another card. This is Bizzie Lizzie from The digistamp boutique. I have coloured the image with my Zig clean colour real brush markers, a black glaze pen and a white gelpen and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 from Crealies I have die-cut 2 scalloped circles from white cardstock and made a card from these circles. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies I have die-cut 2 circles from blue gingham and green dotted paper from the Spring folding sheets from Crelando. I used the Grassy hills die-namics from My favorite things to die-cut the green dotted circle and then I adhered them both on the card. With the Simple puffy clouds from Lawn fawn I have die-cut a couple of clouds from white cardstock. The sentiment from the stampet Many mini messages from Clearly besotted is stamped on a little banner that I have die-cut with the Flag it die collection from Clearly besotted. In the grass I added 3 little white flowers that I have die-cut with the Build a flower #3 embellishments from Cheery Lynn. In the middle of the flowers I added a little dot from the Crystal drops gloss English mustard from Nuvo.

Di's digi stamps - A birthday card for my aunt


Goedemorgen, afgelopen maand was mijn tante jarig en ik heb deze verjaardagskaart voor haar gemaakt. Ik heb de afbeelding Little mouse blooms van Di's digi stamps gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Op een stuk wit karton heb ik de Watercolour stripes background van My favorite things met Wild honey distress oxide inkt gestempeld en deze heb ik vervolgens uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 42 van Crealies. Ik he dit vierkant op zwart karton gemat en daarna heb ik ze samen op een kraft kaart geplakt. Ik heb vervolgens een tekst van de stempelset Gift card greetings van My favorite things op de kaart gestempeld en deze daarna geëmbost met clear embossingpoeder. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik rondom de afbeelding zwarte hotfix steentjes geplakt.


Goodmorning, last month it was my aunts birthday and I made her a birthday card. I have used the image Little mouse blooms from Di's digi stamps on my card. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. On a sheet of white cardstock I stamped the Watercolour stripes background from My favorite things with Wild honey distress oxide ink. Then I have die-cut this with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 42 from Crealies and matted it on black cardstock. I adhered both squares on a kraft card. Then I stamped a sentiment from the set Gift card greetings from My favorite things on the card and embossed it with clear embossingpowder. I adhered the image with foamtape on the card and placed a couple of black hotfix gems around the image.

Gerda Steiner designs - Wild animal medals


Goedemorgen, hier ben ik weer met een nieuwe blogpost voor Gerda Steiner designs. Afgelopen zondag hebben mijn neefjes Menno en Niek meegedaan aan de Run voor Kika en ik was er bij als toeschouwer. Ik ben natuurlijk heel trots op de kleine mannen en het bedrag dat bij elkaar hebben gerend voor dit goede doel en daarom heb ik voor allebei de hardlopers een medaille gemaakt. Gewoon om ze te laten weten dat ze Simply the best zijn! ;)

Goodmorning, here I am again with a new blogpost for Gerda Steiner designs. Last sunday my little nephews Menno and Niek participated in the Run voor Kika (Kika is a Dutch organisation  that raises money to help find a cure for children with cancer). I am really proud of these little guys and the money they raised for this organisation, so I made a little medal for both runners. Just to let them know they are simply the best! ;)


Ik heb een tijdje geleden een handlettersetje gevonden bij de prijsmepper en daar zaten chipboard cirkels in en die heb ik gebruikt als medaille. Ik heb op de ene medaille de leeuw en op de andere medaille de krokodil van de stempelset Party animals van Gerda Steiner designs gestempeld. Daarna heb ik op beide medailles een tekst van de stempelset Happy hoppy van Gerda Steiner designs gestempeld. Vervolgens heb ik de afbeeldingen ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden. Ik had gedacht dat dit niet makkelijk zou gaan, maar het kleuren ging gewoon heel gemakkelijk. Ik heb niet echt op schaduwen gelet. Ik heb de ogen nog wel gekleurd met de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb een ringetje en lintje aan de chipboard cirkels gehangen en zo werden het 2 medailles.


A while ago I found a handlettering set in a Dutch store with chiboard circles in it and I used those to make the medals. On one medal I stamped a lion and on the other the crocodile from the stampset Party animals from Gerda Steiner designs. I added a sentiment from the set Happy hoppy from Gerda Steiner designs on both medals. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils. I thought it would be really hard to do, but it was actually really easy to do. I didn't add any shadows on these. I have coloured the eyes with a black glaze pen. I added a little metal ring and some ribbon and so the chipboard circles became 2 medals.

Merry Monday - Caroling critters


Goedemorgen, vandaag is het weer tijd voor een nieuwe post op Merry Monday. Deze keer heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met de stempelset Caroling critters van Avery elle. Ik heb een one-layer kaart gemaakt en dus gebruik gemaakt van maskerpapier om alle dieren op mijn kaart te stempelen. Nadat ik alle dieren op een kant en klare kaart van Kars heb gestempeld heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb met een zwarte fineliner een grond naast de dieren getekend. Daarna heb ik alle afbeeldingen gemaskerd en toen heb ik de lucht gekleurd met een ink blending tool en Tumbled glass, Broken china en Chipped saphire distress inkt. Bij de lantaarn heb ik gekleurd met Mustard seed distress inkt. Als laatste heb ik met een witte gelpen sneeuw getekend op mijn kaart.


 Goodmorning, today I am posting a new christmas card on Merry Monday. This time I made a card with the stampset Caroling critters from Avery elle. I made a one-layer card and used masking paper to create the little scene with these animals on my card. After I stamped all the animals on my card from Kars, I coloured all the images with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I added snow next to the animals with a black pen. Then I masked all images and coloured the sky with Tumbled glass, Broken china and Chipped saphire distress ink. I added a little bit if mustard seed around the lantern. Finally I used a white gelpen to draw dots all over my card to add a bit of snow to my scene.
