As you like it challenge 224 - Favourite way to decorate a gift

 

Goedemorgen, vandaag is weer de eerste challenge op het As you like it challenge blog van 2022. Deze keer worden we gesponsord door Fantastic ribbons. Deze keer willen we graag je favoriete manier voor het versieren van een cadeautje weten. Ik vind het erg leuk om een doosje te maken dat precies bij een cadeautje past. Het moet dus echt de perfecte maat hebben en het cadeautje moet op een leuke manier in het doosje zitten. Ik vind het dan nog extra leuk als je het cadeautje persoonlijk maakt door de naam van de ontvanger toe te voegen aan het cadeautje.

Voor deze challenge heb ik 2 doosjes gemaakt voor mijn neefjes. Ik had namelijk een chocolade pinguïn met smarties erin voor ze gekocht en die moesten natuurlijk wel in een leuk doosje cadeau worden gegeven. Ik heb met de Silhouette cameo een doosje gesneden van rood karton en mica. Ik heb het doosje zelf ontworpen. Door het gebruik van mica zie je de pinguïn goed zitten in het doosje. Op de voorkant van de doosjes heb ik de namen van mijn neefjes geplakt. Daarna heb ik het doosje op het rode karton versierd met witte sticker stippen.

For our challenge we want to know what you favourite way is to decorate a gift. I love it when I am able to make the perfect box for a present. I love it when it has the perfect size and it showcases the present in a nice way. A little bonus is when I am able to add the name of the receiver of the present to make it extra personal. 

For this challenge I have made 2 boxes for my nephews. I bought these chocolate penguins with smarties inside for them both and they needed to be given in a perfect box. I have cut the boxes with the Silhouette cameo from red cardstock and a mica sheet. I have designed the box myself. Because I used mica for parts of the box, the penguin is really visible. On the front of the box I added the names from my nephews with sticker letters. I have decorated the red parts of the box with white sticker dots.

Wintergnome van Charlotte van de Haar

 

Hallo, gisteravond heb ik op instagram meegedaan aan een live tekentutorial van Charlotte van de Haar. We gingen deze keer wintergnomes tekenen. In totaal hebben we 2 gnomes gemaakt. Ik heb ze op 2 aparte bladen van mijn boekje gemaakt, omdat ik ze niet leuk met elkaar kon combineren. De eerste tekening is af en vanavond ga ik de tweede tekening inkleuren. Ik heb getekend in een A6 Landscape watercolour boekje van Hahnemühle. Ik had dit boekje al vaak bekeken en toen ze bij Hobbycompleet de Duif net voor het nieuwe jaar een mooie kortingsactie hadden, heb ik het boekje eindelijk voor mezelf gekocht. Het werkt erg fijn en hoewel ik best veel water heb gebruikt is de pagina nog steeds mooi recht. Ik heb de tekening eerst met potlood getekend, daarna heb ik alles overgetrokken met watervaste zwarte fineliner en vervolgens heb ik de tekening ingekleurd met de navulflesjes Distress inkt. De sneeuw en kleine details zijn gemaakt met een witte gelpen. De live was erg leuk om te doen! Ik heb dan ook veel zin om vanavond mijn tweede tekening in te kleuren. :)

Hello, yesterday evening I have followed a live tutorial on instagram from Charlotte van de Haar. This time we were going to draw Wintergnomes. We made 2 different gnomes. I have drawn them on 2 separate pages in my book and decided to make 2 different scenes. I have finished my first drawing yesterday en tonight I will be colouring my second drawing. I have drawn the images in a A6 Landscape watercolour book from Hahnemühle. I had seen this book a few times and when the shop Hobbycompleet de Duif had a nice discount just before the new year I decided to buy one. I really loved working in it and although I used a lot of water the page is still straight. I started my drawing with a pencil, then I used a water proof fineliner and then I coloured the scene with the bottles Distress ink. The snow and little details are made with a white gelpen. I really enjoyed this live tutorial and I am looking forward to colour my next scene tonight!

A birthday card for Niek

 

Goedemorgen, op 1 januari werd mijn neefje Niek 8 jaar oud en natuurlijk heb ik een verjaardagskaart voor hem gemaakt. Zijn lievelingsdier is de krokodil (op dit moment ;) ) en hij vond de schud tag die ik had gemaakt voor kerst heel mooi, dus wist al snel dat ik een schudkaartje wilde maken met een krokodil.

Op mijn kaart heb ik de digitale stempel Birthday gator van Pretty cute stamps gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 van Crealies heb ik uit een stuk karton dat net zo groot is als de voorkant van mijn kaart een rechthoek gesneden. Ik heb hier een stuk mica vel achter geplakt. Op een witte kaart heb ik met het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things en Tumbled glass distress inkt een wolkenachtergrond gemaakt. Het gras is gemaakt met de Grassy hillside stencils van Lawn fawn en Bamboo leaves inkt van Memento. Op het frame heb ik een tekst geplakt die ik uit oranje karton heb gestanst met de Essentials 355 (SL355) van Studio light. Ik heb het schudgedeelte gevuld met allerlei sequins. Ik heb ook een heleboel 8-en uit rood, oranje, geel, groen en blauw karton gestanst met de Essentials 359 ( SL359) en Essentials 358 (SL358) van Studio light en die heb ik ook als schudmateriaal gebruikt. Ik heb het frame met een dubbele laag foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt en daarna heb ik de krokodil op mijn kaart geplakt. Niek was erg blij met zijn kaart. :)

Goodmorning, on the first of january my nephew Niek celebrated his 8th birthday and I made him a birthday card. His favourite animal is a crocodile at the moment and he really loved the shaker tag I made for him for christmas, so I knew I had to make a shakercard with a crocodile. 

On my card I have used the digital stamp Birthday gator from Pretty cute stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies I have cut a rectangle from a panel of white cardstock that has the same size as the front of my card. I glued a sheet of mica behind the opening. On a white card I have made a cloudy background with the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Tumbled glass distress ink. The grass was made with the Grassy hillside stencils from Lawn fawn and Bamboo leaves ink from Memento. On the frame I have placed a birthday sentiment that I have cut from orange cardstock with the Essentials 355 (SL355) from Studio light. The shakercard is filled with sequins and a lot of number 8's. I have cut those from red, orange, yellow, green and blue cardstock with the Essentials 359 ( SL359) and Essentials 358 (SL358) from Studio light. I have glued the frame on the card with a double layer of foamtape and then I glued the crocodile on the card. Niek loved his card. :)

Ik houd al jaren een blogschrift bij waar ik al mijn design tea opdrachten en andere kaarten die ik moet maken kan opschrijven. Ieder jaar maak ik een nieuwe pagina voor mijn blogschrift om zo het nieuwe jaar te starten en dit jaar heb ik een pagina gemaakt met een digitale stempel van Whimsy stamps.

Ik heb op een a4 pagina de Penguin flies (digital stamp) van Whimsy stamps geprint samen met de tekst die eronder staat. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de zwarte glaze pen en een witte gelpen. Ik heb een achtergrond voor mijn afbeelding gemaakt met het Mini cloud edges stencil van My favorite things en Tumbled glass distress inkt. Met een zwarte fineliner heb ik een lijntje langs de randen van het witte karton gedoodled. 

I have had a blogging planner for a couple of years now, so I can remember which design team assignements and other cards  I have to make and when. Every year I make a new page to start the new year. This year I have used a digital stamp from Whimsy stamps.

I have printed the Penguin flies (digital stamp) from Whimsy stamps and a text on an a-4 sheet of white cardstock. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have added a background for the image with the Mini cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Tumbled glass distress ink. I used a black fineliner to add a line around the edges of the white cardstock.

Mijn jaaroverzicht van 2021

Hallo, op deze laatste dag van het jaar is het weer tijd om nog één keertje terug te kijken naar het afgelopen jaar. Ik schreef het vorig jaar al, maar dat geldt nog steeds voor dit jaar. Wat ben ik blij met mijn hobby, want daar kan je gelukkig gewoon mee doorgaan tijdens lockdowns en het geeft een goede afleiding. Dit jaar ben ik ook voorzichtig wat meer zelf gaan tekenen en daar hoop ik volgend jaar mee door te gaan. De resultaten zal ik hier ook op mijn blog posten. Dit jaar heb ik afscheid genomen van Gerda Steiner designs en het Kleuren met potloden blog. Ik ben wel sinds december lid van het digitale team voor Whimsy stamps. En ik ben natuurlijk ook nog steeds design team lid voor Di's digi stamps en het As you like it challenge blog. Ik kijk in deze blogpost ook nog een keer terug naar mijn favoriete kaartjes van het afgelopen jaar. Klik op de linkjes als je de bijhorende blogpost wil zien.

Hello, on this last day from this year it is time again to look back just one more time on the last year. I already wrote it last year, but I still can say that I am really happy with my hobby this year, because I still can make my cards although there is a new lockdown. This year I have started a bit with drawing myself and I love doing it, so hopefully you will see some things next year. I will post the things I have made on my blog. This year I have said goodbye to Gerda Steiner designs and the Kleuren met potloden blog. But since december I am a member of the digital team from Whimsy stamps. And I am still a design team member from Di's digi stamps and the As you like it challenge blog. In this blogpost I am looking back to all my favourite cards that I have made the past year. Goedemorgen, vandaag is het weer mijn beurt om een kaartje te plaatsen op het Kleuren met potloden blog en dat is dan ook meteen mijn laatste kaartje als design team lid van dit team. Ik heb namelijk besloten om te stoppen als lid van dit team. Het was een leuke tijd en ik wil alle dames bedanken voor de mooie tijd!

Ik heb een toepasselijk kaartje gemaakt voor deze laatste dag van het jaar. Ik heb namelijk een kaartje gemaakt met de digitale stempel Champagne mice van Di's digi stamps. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de zwarte glaze pen en een witte gelpen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 118 van Crealies. Ik heb op een rode kaart een strip zwart karton geplakt en daarna heb ik de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Aan het uiteinde van de zwarte strip heb ik een tekst van de set Christmas handletter Prettige feestdagen NL Essentials (SL-ES-STAMP87) van Studio light gestempeld met Versamark inkt en daarna heb ik de tekst geëmbost met witte embossingpoeder. Ik heb van wit borduurgaren 2 kleine strikjes gemaakt en die heb ik boven en onder de tekst geplakt. Ik heb de kaart daarna versierd met gouden miniparels. 

Goodmorning, today it is my turn again to post a card on the blog from Kleuren met potloden blog and this will be my last post as a member from their design team. I have decided to leave the team. I have had a lovely time and want to thank all my teammates!

I have made a perfect card for this last day of the year. I have made a card with the digital stamp Champagne mice from Di's digi stamps. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 118 from Crealies. On a red card I have glued a strip of black cardstock. I have glued the image with foamtape on the card. At the end of the strip black cardstock I have stamped a sentiment from the set Christmas handletter Prettige feestdagen NL Essentials (SL-ES-STAMP87) from Studio light with Versamark ink and then I embossed the image with white embossingpowder. I have decorated the card with golden mini pearls.

Gerda Steiner designs - Gelukkig nieuwjaar!

 

Goedemorgen, vandaag post ik een kaartje op het blog van Gerda Steiner designs. Dit zal mijn laatste kaartje zijn voor Gerda Steiner designs, aangezien ik eerder deze maand heb aangegeven te willen stoppen als designer voor Gerda Steiner. Ik dank Gerda voor alles. Ik heb deze keer een kaartje gemaakt met de digitale stempel Penguins 2022 van Gerda Steiner designs. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de zwarte glaze pen en een witte gelpen. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna uitgeknipt.

Op een witte kaart heb ik met Tumbled glass Distress inkt een achtergrond gemaakt. Met de Snijmallen Slimline randen 4 bergen & water (CDSN-0099) from Carlijn design heb ik uit wit karton een rand met bergen gestanst en ook nog een sneeuwrand. Ik heb de randen hiervan gekleurd met Peacock feathers Distress inkt. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb op wit karton een tekst van de set Christmas handletter Prettige feestdagen (SL-ES-stamp87) van Studio light gestempeld. Ik heb de tekst uitgestanst met een stans van de set Snijmallen Verticale banners stitching (CDSN-0090) van Carlijn design en die heb ik met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Ik vond de kaart nog een beetje kaal dus heb ik zelf met een glitterpen vuurwerk in de lucht getekend. Ik heb naast de tekst 2 rode hotfix steentjes geplakt.

This will be my last card for Gerda Steiner designs, because earlier this month I told Gerda that I wanted to end my time as a designer for Gerda Steiner designs. I am thanking Gerda for everything. I have made a card with the digital stamp Penguins 2022 from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut the image.

On a white card I have made a background for my card with Tumbled glass Distress ink. With the Snijmallen Slimline randen 4 bergen & water (CDSN-0099) from Carlijn design I have cut a row of mountains and also an snowlayer from white cardstock. I have coloured the edges of those with Peacock feathers Distress ink and then I glued them on the card. I have glued the image with foamtape on the card. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Christmas handletter Prettige feestdagen (SL-ES-stamp87) from Studio light on white cardstock. I have cut the sentiment into a banner shape with a die from the set Snijmallen Verticale banners stitching (CDSN-0090) from Carlijn design. I have glued the banner with foamtape on the card. I was missing something on my card, so I decided to draw fireworks with a glitterpen. I glued 2 red hotfix gems on the banner with the sentiment.

Whimsy stamps - Snowman loves stuffy

 

Goedemorgen, vandaag is het weer tijd voor een nieuwe creatie voor Whimsy stamps. Deze keer heb ik een klein cadeau doosje gemaakt met de digitale stempel Snowman loves stuffy from Whimsy stamps. Deze afbeelding is nog tot eind december verkrijgbaar als freebie via de link! Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Ik heb delen van de muts van de sneeuwpop gekleurd met de Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. 

Ik heb van blauw karton in een jeans kleur een doosje gemaakt, dat ik heb gevuld met lekkere chocolaatjes. Het doos is erg eenvoudig om te maken, maar heeft toch een leuke vorm. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op het doosje geplakt. Met een witte gelpen heb ik sneeuw op mijn doosje getekend. Op een stukje wit karton heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Christmas dear clear stamps van Whimsy stamps gestempeld en daarna heb ik de tekst in een bannervorm gesneden en daarna heb ik deze op het doosje geplakt. Ik heb wit lint gebruikt om mijn doosje af te sluiten. 

Goodmorning, today it is time again for a new creation from Whimsy stamps on my blog. I have made a little box with the digital stamp Snowman loves stuffy from Whimsy stamps. This image is available as a freebie until the end of december if you click on the link! I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. I have coloured parts of the hat from the snowman with the Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. 

I have made a little box from jeans blue cardstock, that I have filled with delicious chocolates. The box is really easy to make, but I do love the shape of it. I have glued the image with foamtape on the box. With a white gelpen I have drawn snow dots on my box. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Christmas dear clear stamps from Whimsy stamps on white cardstock and then I have cut it into a banner shape. I have glued the banner on the top of the box. I used white ribbon to close my box.

Lili of the valley - Kerstcadeautje

Goedemorgen, vandaag post ik nog een klein kerstcadeautje dat ik heb gemaakt met de digitale stempel Pile of penguins van Lili of the valley. Ik heb de afbeelding op wit papier gestempeld en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen. Ik heb het sterretje gekleurd met de Clear Spectrum noir sparkle glitter pen. Het doosje is uit wit en donkerblauw glitter karton gesneden met de Silhouette cameo en nadat ik het in elkaar heb gezet, heb ik het gevuld met waxinelichtjes. Ik wens je een fijne kerstavond toe!
