Hallo, Karin Joan heeft weer een nieuwe set Sketch stencils ontworpen en deze keer is het een exclusieve set voor Be creative shop geworden, namelijk de Sketch stencils - Pots & plants - Monstera. Het is weer een hele mooie set geworden met leuke vaasjes en mooi monstera bladeren. Vandaag laat ik 3 projecten zien die ik er mee heb gemaakt. 

Hello, Karin Joan designed a new set of Sketch stencils again, and this time it's an exclusive set for Be creative shop, namely the Sketch stencils - Pots & plants - Monstera. It's another beautiful set, featuring lovely vases and stunning Monstera leaves. Today, I will be showing three projects that I have made with it.

Mijn eerste project is een kaart geworden. Op een kraft kaart heb ik met de stencils een potloodschets gemaakt en daarna heb ik deze overgetrokken met Zwarte Unipin fineliners in verschillende maten. Met de fijne maten kun je erg mooi accenten toevoegen aan de tekening. Ik heb een tekst van de stempelset Bulletjournal - Tekst diversen from Craft emotions (no longer in business) op mijn kaart gestempeld.

My first project is a card. On a kraft card, I created a pencil sketch using the stencils, and then I traced it with Black Unipin fineliners in various sizes. The finer sizes are great for adding beautiful accents to the drawing. I stamped a text from the stamp set Bulletjournal - Tekst diversen from Craft Emotions (no longer in business) onto my card.

Voor mijn tweede project ben ik gaan experimenteren in mijn Sakura brush sketchbook black 12x12 cm van Royal Talens. Dit boekje gebruik ik om gewoon maar lekker wat te doodlen met mijn Uni Posca markers. Gewoon leuke patroontjes of eenvoudige tekeningen maken. Ik heb ergens online een tekening gezien van een monstera blad dat erg streperig was ingekleurd en dat wilde ik zelf proberen na te maken. Het is niet helemaal geworden zoals het voorbeeld dat ik heb gezien, maar ik ben wel erg blij met mijn eigen tekening. 

For my second project, I started experimenting in my Sakura brush sketchbook black 12x12 cm from Royal Talens. I use this little book to just doodle freely with my Uni Posca markers – creating fun patterns or simple drawings. I had seen a drawing online of a Monstera leaf that was coloured in a very striped pattern, and I wanted to try recreating it myself. It didn’t quite turn out like the example I saw, but I’m really happy with my own drawing.

Voor mijn laatste project heb ik een potlood schets gemaakt op wit parelmoer papier. Dit papier wat ik heb, is echt heel mooi en bijkomend voordeel, je kan er redelijk goed op werken met aquarelmarkers en/of verf. Ik heb mijn potloodschets overgetrokken met Zwarte Unipin fineliners. Ik heb de afbeelding vervolgens ingekleurd met de Tombow ABT Dual brush markers.

For my final project, I created a pencil sketch on white pearl paper. The paper I have is really beautiful, and an added bonus is that you can work quite well on it with watercolour markers and/or paint. I traced my pencil sketch with Black Unipin fineliners. I then coloured the image with the Tombow ABT Dual brush markers.

Advent calendar for my mother - Day 3

Hallo op dag 3 van de advents kalender (klik op het linkje voor alle posts) voor mijn moeder heb ik pandadrop cadeau gegeven en daarom heb ik mijn doosje ook versierd met een panda. De panda heb ik gemaakt met de Cuteepets Benny Bear van Karin Joan en voor de cadeautjes en de kerstmuts heb ik de Cuteepets Christmas cat van Karin Joan gebruikt. Ik heb eerst een schets met potlood gemaakt en toen ik helemaal tevreden was, heb ik de schets overgetrokken met mijn Zwart Unipin fineliners. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de Black glaze pen van Sakuraen een witte gelpen. Ik heb de afbeelding gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 8 van Crealies en daarna heb ik uit rood karton een groter vierkant gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 128 van Crealies. Voor de panda drop heb ik een doosje en lade gemaakt van ecru karton. Ik heb gaatjes in het doosje gestanst en daarna heb ik het gesloten met ecru seam binding. Het getal 3 heb ik uit rood karton gestanst met de Retro number trio (retired) van Elizabeth craft designs en daarna heb ik het getal op het doosje geplakt.

Hello on day 3 for the advent calendar (click on the link for all posts) for my mother I gave my mother a package of panda licorice and that is why I had to decorate my box with a panda. The panda is made with the Cuteepets Benny Bear from Karin Joan and for the presents and christmas hat I have used the set Cuteepets Christmas cat from Karin Joan. I first made a sketch with a pencil and then I traced the image with my Black Unipin fineliners. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the Black glaze pen from Sakura and a white gelpen. I have cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 8 from Crealies. I have cut a larger square from red cardstock with theCrea-nest-lies XXL 128 from Crealies and glued the image on top of it. For the panda licorice I designed a box and a drawer from cream cardstock. I have cut 2 holes in the top of the box and closed the box with cream seam binding. I have cut the number 3 from red cardstock with the Retro number trio (retired) from Elizabeth craft designs and glued it on the box.

Binnen in het doosje zit een laatje waar de vier reepjes panda drop in passen. 

Inside the box I have decorated a drawer that holds the panda licorice.

Hallo, afgelopen maand kwam er weer een nieuwe release uit van Karin Joan met haar Sketching stencils. Dit weekend heb ik een eerste tekening gemaakt met de Sketching stencils Cuteepets Benny bear from Karin Joan. Met deze set kun je een leuk beertje of panda tekenen en er zitten ook nog wat accessoires bij om er een verjaardagsthema van te maken. Ik heb de tekening nu gemaakt en ga nog kijken of ik er een kaartje mee ga maken, maar omdat deze panda perfect past bij de opdracht van dag 4 voor de Kostuum diertjes teken je zo november 2024 challenge van Paperfuel post ik hem nu alvast en maak ik er later een kaartje mee.

Ik heb mijn tekening gemaakt op het papier van het Aquapad van Clairefontaine met Zwarte Unipin fineliners. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna ingekleurd met mijn Derwent inktense potloden. 

Hello, last month 2 new Sketching stencils sets have been released by Karin Joan. This weekend I have made a drawing with the set Sketching stencils Cuteepets Benny bear from Karin Joan. With this set you can easily draw a cute bear or panda. In the set are also some birthday accessories, so you can add a birthday theme. I have made my drawing and I want to make a card with it, but because this drawing is perfect for Day 4 - Pink panda from the Kostuum diertjes teken je zo november 2024 challenge from Paperfuel, I am already posting the drawing today. 

I have made my drawing on the paper from the Aquapad from Clairefontaine with Black Unipin fineliners. Then I coloured the panda with my Derwent inktense pencils

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze challenge wordt gesponsord door Dies to die for. Deze keer willen we je favoriete kleurencombinatie van 2 kleuren weten. Ik heb voor groen en roze gekozen. Ik hou heel erg van de kleur roze en in combinatie met groen wordt de kleur nog mooier. Het is de perfecte kleurencombinatie voor een mooie bloem en daarom heb ik vandaag een bloemenkaart gemaakt.

Ik heb met de Slimline frames (CR1537-retired) van Marianne design een rechthoek uit Florence watercolour paper smooth 300 gram van Vaessen creative gestanst. Hierop heb ik met de Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan met potlood een mooie bloem gemaakt. Ik heb de afbeelding daarna overgetrokken met verschillende maten Black Unipin fineliners. De bloem heb ik ingekleurd met de Molotow sketcher markers. De zwarte bolletjes in de bloem zijn gekleurd met de Black glaze pen van Sakura. Nadat de afbeelding helemaal droog was, heb ik een tekst van de stempelset Birthday sentiments van Uniko gestempeld onder de bloem. Met de Slimline frames (CR1537-retired) van Marianne design heb ik nog een geschulpte rechthoek gestanst en hier heb ik de rechthoek met bloem geplakt. Daarna heb ik ze samen met foamtape op een slimline kaart geplakt. Ik heb de kaart versierd met zwarte hotfix steentjes.

Hello, today a new challenge starts on the As you like it challenge blog and this time we are being sponsored by Dies to die for. This time we want to see your favourite 2 colour combination. I have picked pink and green. I really love the colour pink and love combining it with green. It is such a fresh combination. These colours are perfect for flowers, so today I decided to make a flower card.

I have cut a rectangle panel with the Slimline frames (CR1537-retired) from Marianne design from Florence watercolour paper smooth 300 gram from Vaessen creative. On this panel I have made a lovely flower with the help of the Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan. I have traced my pencil sketch with a couple of sizes Black Unipin fineliners. The flower is coloured with Molotow sketcher markers. I used the Black glaze pen from Sakura to colour the black dots inside the flower. I have stamped a sentiment from the stamp set Birthday sentiments from Uniko on the bottom of the panel. With the Slimline frames (CR1537-retired) from Marianne design I have cut a scalloped rectangle and I glued the panel with the flower on top of it. I glued them together on a slimline card with foamtape. The card is decorated with black hotfix gems.

Hallo, vandaag post ik weer een nieuwe tag die ik heb gemaakt met de Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Ik ben begonnen met het stansen van de tag met de A tag for all (retired) van Avery elle uit aquarelpapier van de Action. Hierop heb ik met inkt blending kwasten en Mustard seed, Carved pumpkin, Candied apple en Lumberjack plaid Distress inkt een achtergrond gemaakt. Ik heb de tag op zwart karton geplakt en daarna heb ik de tag uitgesneden zodat er overal een randje zwart papier rondom de tag zit. De grote bloem komt uit de set Sketch stencils Floral 1 van Karin Joan en deze heb ik samen met de blaadjes en de bloemsteel met Zwarte Unipin fineliners op mijn tag getekend. Met dunnere fineliner heb ik nog wat extra details op de bloemen getekend. Met een zwart kleurpotlood heb ik wat schaduw rondom de bloem getekend. Uit zwart papier heb ik de tekst twee keer gestanst met de A tag for all (retired) van Avery elle. Nadat ik de woorden op elkaar heb geplakt heb ik ze op de tag geplakt.

Hello, today I am posting a new tag that I have made with the Sketch stencils from Karin Joan. I started with cutting the tag with the A tag for all (retired) from Avery elle from watercolour paper from Action. With ink blending brushes and Mustard seed, Carved pumpkin, Candied apple and Lumberjack plaid Distress ink I made a background on it. I have glued the tag on black cardstock and cut it again to add a border everywhere around the tag. The large flower is from the set Sketch stencils Floral 1 from Karin Joan and I have drawn it together with the leaves with Black Unipin fineliners on the tag. I added a little bit of extra shadow with a black pencil. I have cut a sentiment from the set A tag for all (retired) from Avery elle twice out of black cardstock and after I glued them on top of each other I glued them on the tag.

Hallo, vandaag post ik weer een nieuwe tekening die ik heb gemaakt met de Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Deze keer heb ik mijn tekening gemaakt met mijn nieuwe alcohol markers en het was erg leuk om te doen. 

Ik heb mijn tekening gemaakt in het Alcohol marker paper pad van Ohuhu. Ik heb voor de tekening de bloemen uit de set Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan gebruikt. Ik heb de tekening eerst met potlood in mijn boekje gemaakt. Ik heb de tekening daarna ingekleurd met mijn Ohuhu alcohol markers. Daarna heb ik de tekening overgetrokken met mijn Zwarte Unipin fineliners. Tenslotte heb ik nog wat kleine schaduwen op mijn bloemen en blaadjes getekend met mijn Polychromos potloden.

I have made my drawing in the Alcohol marker paper pad from Ohuhu. For my drawing I have used the set Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan for the flowers. Then I coloured everything with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. Then I traced everything with the Black Unipin fineliners. With my Polychromos pencils I have added some little shadows on the flowers and leaves.

Hallo, ik heb weer een nieuwe kaart gemaakt met de Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 118 van Crealies heb ik een rechthoek uit aquarelpapier van de Action gestanst. Hierop heb ik met Picked raspberry, Mustard seed en Mermaid lagoon Distress inkt een achtergrond gemaakt. Daarna heb ik met de Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan de bloem en blaadjes getekend op de achtergrond. Het hartje van de bloem is getekend met een stencil uit de set Sketch stencils Floral 1 van Karin Joan. Ik heb met een zwart kleurpotlood nog wat extra schaduw op de bloem getekend. Ik heb de achtergrond met de bloem met foamtape op een witte kaart geplakt. Ik heb een tekst van de stempelset Brushed greetings II (retired) van Clearly besotted op de kaart gestempeld. Ik heb de kaart daarna versierd met zwarte hotfix steentjes.

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze keer wordt onze challenge gesponsord door Dies to die for. Deze keer willen we weten of je liever kaarten met bloemen of juist schattige kaarten maakt. Ik vind beide stijlen erg leuk. Met bloemen kun je prachtige stijlvolle kaarten maken en cute kaarten zijn ook erg leuk om te doen! Ik bepaal vaak de stijl die ik gebruik als ik weet voor wie een kaart is. Mijn neefjes maak ik echt niet blij met een bloemenkaart en anderen zullen cute kaarten niet zo leuk vinden. Ik vind trouwens diertjes met (grote) bloemen helemaal leuk om mee te werken.

Voor de challenge van vandaag heb ik een slimline kaart gemaakt. De geschulpte laag is met de Slimline frames (CR1537) van Marianne Design uit zwart karton gestanst. Daarna heb ik een laag uit Florence watercolour paper smooth (300 gram) van Vaessen creative gesneden. Hierop heb ik met het Paint strokes stencil van My favorite things en Picked raspberry, Spiced marmalade, Carved pumpkin, Squeezed lemonade, Mowed lawn, Peacock feathers en Mermaid lagoon Distress inkt een achtergrond gemaakt. Daarna heb ik met de Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan een paar bloemen over de achtergrond getekend met mijn zwarte fineliners. Ik heb verschillende diktes gebruikt om zo mooi wat details toe te kunnen voegen. Ik heb een tekst van de stempelset Handletter - Huwelijk (retired) van Craft emotions over de bloem gestempeld. Ik heb de Confetti stamp van Cats on appletrees op diverse plekken op mijn kaart gestempeld met zwarte inkt. Als laatste heb ik nog een lijntje langs de randen van het witte papier getekend met mijn fineliner.

This time we would love the know if you prefer making floral cards or cute cards. I love both styles. With flowers you can make very elegant cards, but cute cards are also very much fun to make. If I know who is going to receive my card, I most of the times decide which style I am going to use. My little nephews will not enjoy receiving a floral card and other people will not like cute cards. The most fun is making cards with cute animals with (big) flowers. 

For today's challenge I have made a slimline card. The scalloped layer is cut with the Slimline frames (CR1537) from Marianne Design from black cardstock. The card and top layer is cut from Florence watercolour paper smooth (300 gram) from Vaessen creative. On the top layer I have made a background with the Paint strokes stencil from My favorite things and Picked raspberry, Spiced marmalade, Carved pumpkin, Squeezed lemonade, Mowed lawn, Peacock feathers and Mermaid lagoon Distress ink. Then I have drawn a flower on top of the background with the Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan with black fineliners. I used several sizes to add extra details. I have stamped a sentiment from the set Handletter - Huwelijk (retired) from Craft emotions on the card.  I added extra details on the card with the Confetti stamp from Cats on appletrees, that I have stamped with black ink. I added lines around the edges of the white cardstock with a black fineliner.

Karin Joan Sketch stencils - A present wrapped in special paper

Hallo, ik heb weer een nieuw project gemaakt met mijn Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Ik kreeg het idee om mijn eigen inpakpapier te maken. Ik heb hiervoor diverse bloemen en blaadjes uit de sets Sketch stencils Floral 1 en Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan gebruikt. Ik heb hiervoor een stuk zwart inpakpapier gebruikt en heb hierop een patroon gemaakt met de diverse bloemen en blaadjes door ze met een wit potlood op het inpakpapier te tekenen. Daarna heb ik de verschillende bloemen en blaadjes overgetrokken met allerlei vrolijke kleurtjes Uni Posca markers. Het ziet er erg leuk uit, maar het is helaas niet zo makkelijk om mooi op de foto te krijgen. 

Hello, I have made a new project with the Sketch stencils from Karin Joan. I thought it would be nice to make my own wrapping paper. I have used several flowers and leaves from the sets Sketch stencils Floral 1 and Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan. I started with a piece of black wrapping paper and made a pattern on it with the flowers and leaves. I traced the stencils with a white pencil on the paper and then I used a couple of bright happy coloured Uni Posca markers to trace the images again. I love how it turned out, but is really hard to get nice pictures of it.

Nadat ik mijn cadeautje had ingepakt met mijn zelfgemaakte inpakpapier vond ik dat er nog een tag op het cadeautje moest. Ik heb uit wit karton en het zwarte inpakpapier een tag gestanst met de Snijmallen Mini slimline tags (CDSN-0160) van Carlijn Design. Op het zwarte papier heb ik nog een bloem en een blaadje getekend met de Uni Posca markers. Uit wit karton heb ik de tekst gefeliciteerd gestanst met de Karin's gefeliciteerd set (KJ1721) van Marianne design. Ik heb de tekst over de getekende bloem en blaadje geplakt en daarna heb ik de tag op mijn cadeautje geplakt. 

After I wrapped my present with my handmade wrapping paper, I wanted to add a little tag on my present. I have cut my tag from white cardstock and the black wrapping paper with the Snijmallen Mini slimline tags (CDSN-0160) from Carlijn Design. On the black paper I added a new flower and leaf with the Uni Posca markers. I have cut a sentiment from white cardstock with the Karin's gefeliciteerd set (KJ1721) from Marianne design and glued it on top of the flower and leaf and then I glued the tag on the present.

Karin Joan Sketch stencils - A thank you tag

Hallo, vandaag laat ik een tag zien die ik heb gemaakt met de nieuwe Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Ik heb met de Cardzz 193 Slimline labels glad (CLCZ193) van Crealies een grote tag uit wit karton gestanst. Het blauwe papier is eigenlijk behang. Het lijkt net op spijkerstof en daarom heb ik al jaren geleden deze rol gekocht, omdat ik vond dat ik hem perfect bij het kaartenmaken zou kunnen gebruiken. Daarna heb ik met de Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan een mooie bloem met potlood op de tag geschetst. Ik heb de tekening overgetrokken met Witte gelpennen van Sakura. Ik heb nog wat extra details op mijn tekening aangebracht met een Derwent drawing potlood Chinese white. De tekst is uit wit karton gestanst met een stans van de set A tag for all (retired) van Avery elle. 

Hello, today I am showing a tag that I have made with the new Sketch stencils from Karin Joan. I have used the Cardzz 193 Slimline labels glad (CLCZ193) from Crealies to cut a large label from white cardstock. The blue paper is actually wallpaper. It really looks like jeans fabric and that is why I have bought the roll years ago, because I thought it would be perfect to use in my cardmaking. I have made a flower on the blue paper with the Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan and a pencil. I have traced the image with White gelpens from Sakura. I added some extra details with a Derwent drawing pencil Chinese white. The sentiment is cut with a die from the set A tag for all (retired) from Avery elle from white cardstock.

Karin Joan - Sketch stencils - A simple pencil drawing

Hallo, vandaag post ik een tweede tekening dat ik heb gemaakt met de hele leuke Sketch stencils van Karin Joan. Ook  deze keer heb ik met de set Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan gewerkt. Ik heb een bloem getekend op kraft papier en daarna heb ik deze ingekleurd met mijn Derwent lightfast potloden. Zo leuk om te doen en zo gaaf om te zien hoe de kleuren opvallen op het kraft karton. Ik had eigenlijk iets willen maken met deze tekening, maar door tijdsgebrek lukte dat helaas verder niet meer, omdat ik hem mee wilde nemen naar de beurs waar Karin haar stencils aan het demonstreren was. 

Hello, today I am posting my second drawing that I have made with the fun Sketch stencils from Karin Joan. This time I used the set Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan. I have drawn a flower on kraft cardstock and then I used my Derwent lightfast pencils to colour my flower. I really enjoyed myself and I love how the colours pop on the kraft cardstock. I wanted to make a tag with this drawing, but I didn't have enough time to make it, so it is just a drawing.

Hallo, vandaag laat ik een nieuwe tekening zien die ik heb gemaakt met het allernieuwste product van Karin Joan. Karin heeft namelijk de Sketch stencils bedacht en de komende tijd mag ik daarmee wat dingen laten zien, omdat ik in haar design team zit! Met de Sketch stencils kun je op een eenvoudige manier de mooiste bloemen tekenen, dus als je zelf tekenen best moeilijk vindt, kun je met de hulp van deze stencils toch zelf prachtige bloemen tekenen.

Mijn eerste tekening heb ik gemaakt met de Sketch stencils Floral 2 van Karin Joan. Ik heb op een ecru vel papier eerst de bloemen met een potlood en het stencil getekend en daarna heb ik de tekening overgetrokken met de Unipin fineliner sepia. Door de bruine kleur krijgen de bloemen een zachtere uitstraling. Daarna heb ik de bloemen nog een beetje extra accentjes gegeven met 2 bruine Coloursoft potloden van Derwent. 

Hello, today I am posting a new drawing that I have made with the newest product from Karin Joan. Karin has invented the Sketch stencils and I am going to post more projects with these soon, because I am a member in her design team! With the Sketch stencils you draw pretty flowers in a very easy way. So when you think drawing is pretty hard, you still will be able to draw gorgeous flowers with the help of these stencils. 

My first drawing is made with the Sketch stencils Floral 2 from Karin Joan. On a cream sheet of cardstock I have drawn some of the flowers with a pencil. I have traced the image with Unipin fineliners sepia. The sepia colour gives the drawing a softer look. Then I added some extra accents on my drawing with 2 brown Coloursoft pencils from Derwent.
