Kleuren met potloden - Boxes for my nephews

Goodmorning, this is day 20 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag is het weer mijn beurt om een blogpost te verzorgen op het Kleuren met potloden blog en daarin laat ik de doosjes zien die ik heb gemaakt voor mijn neefjes voor hun rapporten aan het einde van het schooljaar. Als creatieve tante kan ik niet zomaar met een envelopje met geld aankomen, ik moet toch wel iets "beters" hebben. ;) Na het zien van het doosje dat ik voor de verjaardag van mijn broer had gemaakt in juni, hebben beide heren al iets soortgelijks besteld voor hun verjaardag in november en januari...hahaha. Nou ja het is natuurlijk erg leuk dat ze het waarderen. Een tijdje geleden had ik op youtube een heel leuk draaiend doosje gezien voor een chocolaatje en dat leek me erg leuk om te vullen met geld. Ik heb daarom mijn moeder gevraagd dit draaiende doosje te maken op de silhouette maar dan op een andere manier dan de tutorial en daar kwam dit geweldige doosje uit. Aan mij de eer om het doosje te versieren.

Het doosje is uit wit karton gesneden met de Silhouette cameo. Ik heb de doosjes versierd met 2 giraffen van de digitale stempelset Funny giraffes van The paper shelter. Voor Niek heb ik de giraf in het vliegtuig gebruikt en voor Menno de racewagen. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en de zwarte glaze pen en daarna heb ik de afbeeldingen uitgeknipt. Ik heb uit design papier een rechthoek gesneden. Voor het doosje van Niek heb ik het Spring sunburst paperpack van Sunny studio gebruikt en voor Menno het Kraft in color- color paperpad van Doodlebug. Met een zwarte fineliner heb ik een lijntje langs de randen van het design papier getekend. Ik heb het draaiende doosje van Niek versierd met stipjespapier van het Polka dot parade paperpack van Sunny studio en voor Menno heb ik weer design papier uit het paperpad van Doodlebug gebruikt. Met de Mini alpha & number dies (retired) van CC. designs heb ik de naam van beide jongens uit design papier gestanst en die heb ik op de doosjes geplakt. Het tabje aan het einde van het lintje is uitgestanst met een stans van de set Planner essentials 1 (115633/1601) van Craft emotions. Hierop heb ik een tekst van de set Stempels interacties van Carlijn design gestempeld met Versafine clair nocturne inkt. 

Today it is my turn again to make a blogpost for the Kleuren met potloden blog and this time I am showing 2 boxes that I have made  for the end of the schoolyear for my nephews. As a creative aunt I cannot give them just a simple envelope with some money, I have to make something "better". ;) After seeing the box that I made for my brother's birthday in june, they both ordered something similar for their won birthdays in november and january....lol.  It is really fabulous that they really enjoy the things that I make for them. A while ago I saw a very cute turning box on youtube that can hold a chocolate and I thought it would be fun to fill it with money instead of chocolate. So I asked my mother to design this box on the Silhouette cameo, but in an other design and she made this fabulous box. I had the honour the decorate the boxes. 

The box is cut from white cardstock with the Silhouette cameo. I have decorated them with 2 giraffes from the digital stampset Funny giraffes from The paper shelter. For Niek I have used the giraffe in the airplane and for Menno I used the race car. I have coloured both the images with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the images. I have cut a rectangle from patterned paper for both boxes. For Niek I used blue paper from the Spring sunburst paperpack from Sunny studio and for Menno I used striped paper from the Kraft in color- color paperpad from Doodlebug. With a black fineliner I doodled on the patterned paper. I decorated the turning box for Niek with blue dotted paper from the Polka dot parade paperpack from Sunny studio and for Menno I used the same paperpad from Doodlebug. With the Mini alpha & number dies (retired) from CC. designs I have die-cut both their names from patterned paper and I glued those on the boxes. The little tab at the end of the ribbon is die-cut with a die from the Planner essentials 1 (115633/1601) from Craft emotions. I have stamped a sentiment (pull) on it from the set Stempels interacties from Carlijn design with Versafine clair nocturne ink. 

Door aan het lintje te trekken draait het doosje en kun je zien wat er in het doosje zit. Zie ook het filmpje hieronder.

If you pull the ribbon the box starts turning and it will be revealed what kind of present is in the box. See the little movie below. 

In het grote vak van het doosje heb ik een zakje M&M's gestopt voor de jongens. Die lusten ze vast wel.

In the large pocket from the box I have added a little bag of M&M's. I am sure the boys will love these.

Two medals for my nephews and two more just for fun

Hello, this is day 21 from the 30-day colouring challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.

Vandaag laat ik weer een nieuw projectje zien. Het was een beetje stil op mijn blog. Ik heb het erg druk gehad op mijn werk door het Corona virus en door al het nieuws rondom dit virus ben ik ook een beetje mijn zin in het knutselen verloren. Maar eigenlijk is dat knutselen juist een goede manier om mijn aandacht van deze rare periode af te leiden, dus ik ga toch proberen om lekker met stempeltjes en potloden aan de gang te blijven. Hopelijk lukt dat. En dan wil ik iedereen natuurlijk vooral een goede gezondheid toewensen. Hopelijk gaat deze gekke periode snel voorbij....

Vorige week belde mijn broer op dat mijn neefjes hun rapport wilden komen laten zien en dat kan natuurlijk niet zomaar. Ik ben dus op zoek gegaan naar een snel projectje om ze samen met een klein cadeautje te kunnen geven. In de Silhouette design store zag ik hele leuke medailles staan en die waren ook niet zo moeilijk om te maken, want veel tijd had ik niet. Helaas zat het weer niet mee en kon ik de medailles die ik voor mijn neefjes maakte niet mooi op de foto krijgen, dus heb ik nog 2 extra medailles gemaakt en vandaag laat ik ze allemaal zien. Voor de medailles heb ik de Carrot badge van Planeta Silhouette gebruikt. Het worteltje heb ik niet uitgesneden, want ik wilde iets  anders met mijn medaille doen.

Today I am showing a new project. It has been a bit quiet on my blog. I have been really busy at work because of the Corona virus and I also lost the joy in crafting a bit because of all the bad news we are constantly hearing. But crafting is the way to keep my mind distracted from all of this, so I am going to try to craft some more this week. I hope it works. I hope everyone is staying healthy and I really hope this weird period will end soon....

Last week my brother called me to tell me my nephews wanted to show their report cards. And because of that I had to make them something. So I decided to look for a quick project , so I could give it together with a little present. In the Silhouette design store I saw these cute medails and because they weren't really difficult to make, they were perfect, because I didn't have much time. Unfortunately the weather wasn't really good, so I couldn't make pretty pictures of the medals that I made for my nephews, so I decided to make 2 more medals and today I am showing them all. For the medals I have used the file Carrot badge from Planeta Silhouette. I didn't cut the carrots, because I wanted to decorate my medals with something else. 

Ik heb de medaille uit wit karton gesneden met de silhouette. Op één van de cirkels heb ik een diertje van de stempelset 1st Class cuties II from Alpaca pals gestempeld. Voor deze medailles heb ik voor de hond en het katje gekozen. Ik heb de afbeeldingen ingekleurd met mijn Derwent lightfast potloden. De oogjes van de diertjes heb ik daarna nog eens gekleurd met een zwarte gelpen. De medaille heb ik gekleurd met Distress inkt. Ik heb ze gekleurd met Scattered straw, Wild honey, Spiced marmelade, Mowed lawn en Festive berries Distress inkt. 

I have cut the medal from white cardstock with the silhouette. On one of the circles I have stamped an animal from the 1st Class cuties II from Alpaca pals. For these medals I have chosen the dog and the cat. I have coloured the images with my Derwent lightfast pencils. I used a black gelpen to colour the eyes of the animals. The medal is coloured with Distress ink. I coloured them with Scattered straw, Wild honey, Spiced marmelade, Mowed lawn and Festive berries Distress ink.

Op de medailles voor mijn neefjes heb ik diertjes van de stempelset 1st Class cuties van Alpaca pals gebruikt. Deze afbeeldingen zijn ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden, de zwarte gelpen en een witte gelpen voor op de wangetjes. Deze medailles zijn gekleurd met Scattered straw, Wild honey, Spiced marmelade, Peacock feathers en Blueprint sketch Distress inkt. 

On the medals for my nephews I used animals from the stampset 1st Class cuties from Alpaca pals. These animals are coloured with my Polychromos pencils, a black and white gelpen. The medals are coloured with Scattered straw, Wild honey, Spiced marmelade, Peacock feathers and Blueprint sketch Distress ink.
