As you like it challenge 310 - A sentiment or not

Hallo, vandaag begint er weer een nieuwe challenge op het As you like it challenge blog en deze week worden we gesponsord door Rachelle Anne Miller. Deze keer willen we graag weten of je wel of niet een tekst op je kaart gebruikt. Op bijna al mijn kaarten gebruik ik een tekst. Het maakt de kaart helemaal af. Soms plaats ik hem niet meteen, maar pas later als ik weet voor welke gelegenheid ik een een kaart wil gebruiken. Ik vond het soms ook leuk om een tekst met een klein woordgrapje erin te gebruiken, zoals ik vandaag heb gedaan.

Voor deze challenge heb ik een kaart gemaakt met de digitale stempel Birthday bird van Rachelle Anne Miller. Het leek me leuk om weer eens in te kleuren met de no-line kleur techniek, dus ik heb de afbeelding met lichtgrijze lijnen gebruikt en daarna heb ik de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden. Voor het neusje van de muis heb ik een zwart hotfix steentje gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding gestanst met de Crea-nest-lies XXL 167 van Crealies. Ik heb nog 3 zwarte hotfix steentjes rondom de afbeelding geplakt. Op een witte kaart heb ik roze geruit design papier geplakt. Dit papier ligt al heel lang in de kast hier en er staat helaas geen merk op. Ik heb de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt.

This time, we’d love to know whether or not you use a sentiment on your card. I use a sentiment on almost all of my cards—it really completes the design. Sometimes I don’t add it straight away, but wait until I know what occasion I’ll be using the card for. I also enjoy using a sentiment with a little pun or wordplay in it, like I’ve done today.

For this challenge, I’ve made a card using the digital stamp Birthday bird from Rachelle Anne Miller. I thought it would be fun to colour it using the no-line colouring technique again, so I printed the image in light grey lines and then coloured it with my Polychromos pencils. For the mouse’s nose, I used a black hotfix gem. I die-cut the image using the Crea-nest-lies XXL 167 from Crealies. I added three more black hotfix gems around the image. On a white card base, I adhered some pink gingham design paper. This paper has been in my stash for quite a while and unfortunately doesn’t have a brand name on it. I attached the image to the card using foam tape.

Stampavie challenge 09 - A bag by Lauren Meader

Vorige week was ik al begonnen met dit tasje voor de nieuwe challenge van Stampavie, maar door tijdsgebrek had ik hem helaas niet op tijd klaar. Gelukkig las ik vandaag dat er wat vertraging was en dus kon ik mijn tasje als nog afmaken. Dit tasje is ontworpen door Lauren Meader. Ik heb niet helemaal goed opgelet met de maten en dus heeft mijn tasje een iets anders formaat gekregen, maar uiteindelijk lijkt hij wel op het originele model. :) Mijn tasje is gemaakt van een vel a4 papier en daar heb ik de rose streepjes achtergrond op geprint. De stempel die ik heb gebruikt is Teddy's travels van Rachelle Anne Miller. Zoals altijd heb ik gekleurd met derwent potloden. Met een witte gelpen heb ik wat accentjes aangebracht. Ik heb de oogjes van de beer en Lily gekleurd met de zwarte glaze pen. Ook heb ik lekker veel gekleurd met de clear spica glitter pen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met vierkante nestabilities. De scallop vierkant is van groen papicolor papier. In het echt is de kleur mooier, maar het lukte helaas niet meer om een mooie foto te maken. In de hoekjes heb ik pareltjes geplakt. Ik heb uit rose en groen papier de bloemetjes geponst en in de hartjes van de bloemetjes heb ik ook weer de rose pareltjes aangeplakt. De tekst hugs is gemaakt met het phoebe alfabet van quickutz. Om het tasje te sluiten heb ik een wit satijn lintje gebruikt.

Last week I started on this little bag for the new challenge on the Stampavie blog, but I didn't have enough time to finish it on time. Today I read on their blog that there was a little delay and you still had to chance to enter the challenge and so I could finish off my project. This cute little bag was designed by Lauren Meader. I wasn't paying enough attention when I was making it, so mine has a different size, but in the end it looks like the original. I made my bag out of a sheet of a4 paper after I printed the background on it. The stamp I used is Teddy's travels from Rachelle Anne Miller. As usal I have coloured with derwent pencils. I used a white gelpen to add some accents. I coloured the eyes with a black glaze pen. I also used my clear spica glitter pen on the image, but you can't see that on the picture. I cut the image out with rectangle nestabilities. The scallop square is cut out of green papicolor paper. The colour is more beautiful in real, but I couldn't get a decent picture. :( In the corners I added some pink pearls. I punched some flowers out of pink and green paper and added again a pink pearl. The sentiment was cut with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz. I used a white satin ribbon to keep the bag closed.

Samenwonen

Vandaag heb ik dit kaartje gemaakt. Op een witte kaart heb ik drie paarse kaders met daarin stippen geprint. Ik heb de stempel My prince charming van Rachel Anne Miller gebruikt. De kikkers zijn gekleurd met derwent potloden. Met mijn clear spica glitter pen heb ik op de bloemetjes en sterretjes glitter aangebracht. Ook heb ik de vrouwtjes kikker een glitterlijntje boven haar ogen gegeven en glitter wimpers, zodat het net lijkt of ze make up op heeft. ;) Met een witte gelpen heb ik stipjes op haar snuitje getekend. De kikkers zijn uitgesneden met ovalen nestabilities. Van paars papier heb ik een stripje gesneden. Het woord samenwonen heb ik gestempeld met een alfabet stempelsetje van Studio G. De letters zijn uitgeponst met een vierkant ponsje en daarna heb ik ze kriskras op de paarse strip geplakt. Langs de randjes van de vierkantje heb ik nog een beetje gekleurd met een paars potlood, zodat ze niet zo wit zijn.

Today I made this card. On a white card I printed 3 purple frames with dots in them. I used the stamp My prince charming from Rachelle Anne Miller. I coloured the frogs with derwent pencils. I added glitter to the flowers and the stars with a clear spica glitter pen. I also coloured a line above the eye of the female frog and I colored her eyelashes with glitter. Now it looks like she is wearing make up. ;) With a white gelpen I coloured some dots on her face. I cut the frogs with oval nestabilities and added a purple bigger oval. I cut a strip from purple paper. The word samenwonen ( living together) was stamped with an alphabet stamp set from Studio G. I punched the letters with a small square punch and I glued them just randomly on the purple strip. I colored the edges of the squares with a purple pencil, so they don't look so white.

Friday sketchers

Dit is mijn kaartje geworden voor de fridaysketchersblog. Ik heb één van de geweldig lieve stempels van Rachelle Anne Miller gebruikt. Ze hebben zulke leuke, fijne details. Ik heb op een stukje linnen papier de afbeelding van Lily & Milo die aan het schaatsen zijn, gestempeld. Ik heb ze ingekleurd met derwent en bic potloden. Op het ijs heb ik glitter aangebracht met een clear spica glitter pen, zodat het net echt op ijs lijkt. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met rechthoekige nestabilities. Eronder zit een rechthoek van rose papier. Als basis heb ik een donkerblauwe linnenkaart genomen. Op een stukje wit papier heb ik de rose ruitjes geprint. De hartjes zijn gemaakt met een ponsje. De tekst komt uit een clear stempelset van Penny black en die is gestempeld met donkerblauwe inkt.

This is my card for the fridaysketchersblog. I used one of the supercute stamps from Rachel Anne Miller. They have such nice details. I stamped the image of the skating Lily & Milo on a piece of white paper with linnen structure. I colored them with derwent and bic pencils. I added glitter to the ice with a clear spica glitter pen, so it looks like real ice now. I cut the image with rectangle nestabilities. I added another scallop rectangle from pink paper. As my base I used a darkblue card from linnen structure. On a piece of white paper I printed the pink gingham background. The hearts are made with a punch. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set from Penny Black and I stamped it with dark blue ink.

Mojo monday 68

Toen ik de sketch voor mojo monday 68 zag staan, wilde ik er meteen een kaartje mee maken. Ik had vanavond pas tijd om er een kaartje mee te maken. Voor mijn kaartje heb ik deze schattige stempel van de kikkers van Rachelle Anne Miller genomen. De kikkers zijn gekleurd met derwent potloden. Op het wangetje en het hartje is glitter aangebracht met de clear spica glitter pen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met rechthoekige nestabilities. Er zit nog een zwarte rechthoek onder. De tekst is met de computer gemaakt en uitgesneden met ovalen nestabilities. De zwarte hartjes zijn hotfix steentjes. Ik heb nog een ponsje van een vlindertje gebruikt.

When I saw the new sketch for Mojo monday 68, I wanted to make a card with it. Tonight I had the time to make a card. For my card I used the supercute stamp with the frogs from Rachelle Anne Miller. I colored the frogs with derwent pencils. On her cheek and on the heart I added some glitter with a clear spica glitter pen. I cut the image with rectangle nestabilities and added a black rectangle. The sentiment was computer generated and cut with oval nestabilities. The black hearts are hotfix stones. I also used a butterfly punch.

Muis

Ik heb deze stempel al een hele tijd geleden gekocht op een beurs, maar ik had er nog steeds niks mee gedaan en dat kan toch eigenlijk niet! :) Ik werd vroeger altijd muis genoemd door mijn moeder en sinds die tijd ben ik zelf ook helemaal gek van muizen. Deze muizenstempel van Rachelle Anne Miller moest ik dan ook hebben.

Ik heb voor mijn kaartje het streepjes patroon op de kaart geprint. Het roze balkje met de tekst is ook geprint, maar dat heb ik los op de kaart gedaan. Het lieve muisje is ingekleurd met derwent potloden en geurloze terpentine. De hartjes zijn clearstempels die ik bij Pipoos heb gekocht.

I have had this stamp for some time now, but I hadn't used it yet. My mom used to call me mouse when I was young and since then I love mice! So I had to have this cute mouse stamp from Rachelle Anne Miller.

I printed the pink stripes on my card. The pink strip with the sentiment was also computer generated. I colored this sweet little mouse with derwent pencils and OMS. The little heart is a clear stamp from Pipoos ( a dutch craftstore).

Beterschap

Voor dit kaartje heb ik een afdrukje gebruikt van Lola van Rachelle Ann Miller. Het zijn zulke schattige stempeltjes! Lola is ingkleurd met derwent potloden. De ovalen zijn gesneden met mijn nestabilities. Ik heb van een bijpassend paars kleurtje een rechthoek gesneden. Die is geëmbost met de cuttlebug. De tekst is met de computer gemaakt en daarop heb ik met een fineliner streepjes getrokken.

For this card I used an image of Lola from Rachelle Ann Miller. These stamps are so cute. I coloured Lola with derwent pencils. I cut the ovals with my nestabilities. I cut a rectangle from a matching purple paper. I embossed it with my cuttlebug. The text was made with the computer. I added the faux stitching with a fineliner.
