California poppy

Vandaag heb ik mijn eerste kaartje met copics gemaakt. Na al die verhalen erover heb ik er toch een paar gekocht. Ik was vorige week een dagje winkelen in Rotterdam en toen moest ik natuurlijk ook meteen even langs bij Harolds. Ze hebben daar momenteel een geweldige aanbieding voor de copic ciao's en ik heb er dus een paar gekocht om eens uit te proberen. Voor dit kaartje heb ik een stempel van whipper snapper gebruikt: California poppy en die is dus gekleurd met de copics. Heel leuk om te doen, maar nog wel even flink wennen. Onder de afbeelding zit een zwarte rechthoek die gesneden is met de lange deckled nestabilities. De kaart is van rood papicolor karton. De tekst is geprint. De kaart is verder afgemaakt met zwart-wit geruit lint en een paar zwart cabochons.

Today I have made my first copic card. After hearing all the stories about them I finally bought a couple of them. Last week I have been to Rotterdam for a shopping trip and off course we had to visit Harolds. They have an amazing sale on the copics at the moment, so I did buy some to try them out. On my card I used a stam from Whipper Snapper: California poppy and I colored it with the copics. It was real fun to do, but I still have to get used to them. The black rectangle was cut with the long deckled nestabilities. The card was made from red papicolor cardstock. The sentiment (get well) was computer generated. I finished the card off with the gingham ribbon and some black cabochons.

Bloem

Vandaag heb ik een heel eenvoudig kaartje. Ik heb met de deckled nestabilities een langwerpig kaart gesneden en daar de bloem van whipper snapper op gestempeld. Deze is ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Onder de bloem heb ik met een gaatjestang vier gaatjes geponst en daar een organze lintje doorheen geweven. Ik ben met een sponsje met rood krijt langs de randen van de kaart gegaan.

Today I made a really simple card. I cut a card with my large deckled nestabilities and stamped the whipper snapper flower on top of it. I coloured the flower with derwent pencils. Wit a punch I made 4 holes under the flower and weaved an organze ribbon through it. I coloured the edges of the card with a sponge with chalk.

En weer wat babykaartjes

Goedemorgen allemaal! Voor vandaag kan ik weer twee babykaartjes laten zien. Voor deze kaartjes heb ik twee geweldige stempels van Whipper snapper gebruikt. De babies heten Bella en Jayden en ik vind ze zo schattig. Voor deze babykaartjes heb ik weer de traditionele kleuren gebruikt dus rose en blauw. Ik heb de tekst op de kaart geprint en daarna heb ik de babies er boven gestempeld. Ze zijn gekleurd met derwent potloden. Hun oogjes zijn gekleurd met een zwarte glaze pen. In het bovenste stuk ruitjespapier heb ik twee gaatjes gemaakt en daar voor Bella een strikje doorheen gedaan. Jayden heeft gewoon een stukje wit lint er doorheen hangen. Ik heb uit blauw effen papier een knoopje gestanst met de quickutz tang en daar een wit draadje doorheen gedaan. Het knoopje is met foamtape opgeplakt. Op het onderste geruite stuk heb ik voor Bella 5 rose bloemetjes die ook gestanst zijn met de quickutz tang op geplakt. Voor Jayden heb ik gewoon vierkantjes gebruikt. In de hartjes van de bloemetjes en in het midden van de vierkantjes heb ik rose en blauwe cabochons opgeplakt.

Good morning everyone! Today I am again showing two baby cards. For these cards I have used the amazing stamps from Whipper Snapper. The baby’s names are Bella and Jayden and I think they are so cute! For these cards I have used the traditional baby colors pink and blue. I printed the sentiment on my card and stamped the babies. They are colored with derwent pencils. I colored their eyes with a black glaze pen. In the gingham strip at the top of the card I punched two holes and added a bow for Bella. For Jayden I added a piece of the white ribbon. I made the button with a diecut from Quickutz and mounted it with foamtape on the card. At the other piece of gingham paper I used 5 flowers that were cut with the quickutz for Bella and 5 squares for Jayden. In the middle of the flowers and the squares I added pink and blue cabochons to finish of my cards.

Cas challenge

Elke maandag is op Splitcoaststampers een CAS challenge te vinden en deze week heb ik een keertje meegedaan. Het was een goed excuus om mijn nieuwe stempels van Whipper Snapper te proberen. :) Deze week is er een sketch die je moet volgen en omdat het om CAS (Clean and simple) kaarten gaat is het een eenvoudige sketch. Dit lint heb ik een tijd geleden bij All that scraps gekocht en ik heb het gewoon recht over een klein kaartje met linnenstructuur geplakt. Onder het lintje heb ik thank you gestempeld. Het muisje van Whipper Snapper heb ik ook op wit linnen papier gestempeld. De muis is ingekleurd met derwent potloden en op de bloemetjes heb ik nog eens gekleurd met ecoline. Dat geeft net even een meer opvallend kleurtje. Ik heb daarna de muis uitgeknipt en met foamtape weer op de kaart geplakt. Hoewel het heel lekker zonnig is, was het toch even moeilijk om dit kaartje mooi op de foto te krijgen. Toen ik de foto aan het bewerken was, leek het lint ineens een heel andere kleur te hebben. :(

Every monday you can find a CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge on Splitcoaststampers and this week I had some time to make a card. It was a good excuse to use my new stamos from Whipper Snapper that I have gotten this saturday. This week you have to follow a sketch. I bought the ribbon a while ago from All that scraps and I glued it in a straight line to my card. Under the ribbon I stamped the sentiment. The little mouse from Whipper Snapper was also stamped on white cardstock with a linen structure. I coloured the mouse with derwent pencils and the flowers were colored with ecoline, just to let the color pop a little bit more. I cut the mouse out and mounted it on my card with foamtape. Althought it is really sunny over here, it was really difficult to take a decent picture. When I was editing the picture it looked like the ribbon had another color that it originally has. :(
