Niek heeft zijn zwemdiploma C

Goedemorgen, vandaag post ik een kaartje dat ik heb gemaakt voor mijn neefje Niek. Hij heeft 2 weken geleden namelijk zijn zwemdiploma C gehaald en daar moest ik hem natuurlijk mee feliciteren. Niek is groot fan van superhelden en vooral Spiderman is erg cool. ;) En daarom kwam het dan ook heel goed uit, dat ik tijdens het opruimen op mijn computer deze gave digitale stempel van Whiff of joy tegen kwam. Whiff of joy bestaat helaas niet meer, maar gelukkig had ik deze digitale stempel nog wel.
Dit is Spider Henry van Whiff of joy (retired). Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn Polychromos potloden en daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt. Op een stuk wit karton heb ik een achtergrond voor mijn kaart gemaakt. Ik heb hiervoor de kleuren Mustard seed, Wild honey, Mermaid lagoon, Blueprint sketch en Chipped saphire Distress inkt gebruikt. Met witte acrylverf heb ik spatjes op de lucht gemaakt om het op sterren te laten lijken. Met de Silhouette cameo heb ik uit zwart karton 2 gebouwen van de Cityscape van Paige Evans gesneden en die heb ik op de achtergrond geplakt. Ik heb de achtergrond daarna op een kraft kaart geplakt. Ik heb daarna de afbeelding met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Ik heb daarna met witte en zwarte stickerletters mijn tekst op de gebouwen geplakt.

Goodmorning, today I am posting a card that I have made for my nephew Niek. Two weeks ago he did his swimming exam and now he has diploma C. I had to congratulate him with this, so I made him this card. Niek really loves superheroes and especially Spiderman is really cool. ;) So I was really happy when I found this digital stamp in my Whiff of joy files on my computer. Unfortunately Whiff of joy is no longer in business, but I am glad I still have some images from them. 
This is Spider Henry from Whiff of joy (retired). I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and then I have fussy cut the image. On a piece of white cardstock I have made a background for my card with Mustard seed, Wild honey, Mermaid lagoon, Blueprint sketch and Chipped saphire Distress ink. With white acrylic paint I have made paint splatters on the background to make it look like stars. I have cut 2 buildings from black cardstock with the Silhouette cameo. I used the Cityscape file from Paige evans. I ave glued the building on the card and then I glued the background on a kraft card. Then I glued the image with foamtape on the card. I have used white and black letter stickers to add the sentiment on the card.

Goedemorgen dit is dag 17 van de 30-day coloring challenge van Kathy Racoosin.
Vandaag heb ik een kaartje gemaakt met een digitale stempel van Whiff of joy. Whiff of joy gaat sluiten, en daardoor hebben ze nu 50% korting op hun digitale stempels! Dus sla je slag als je ze leuk vindt. Op mijn kaart heb ik de afbeelding Merlin Henry van Whiff of joy gebruikt. Ik heb de afbeelding ingekleurd met mijn potloden en deze daarna uitgesneden met de vierkante nestabilities. Op een witte kaart heb ik een strip paars design papier van het Kraft in color - color paperpad van Doodlebug geplakt. De afbeelding heb ik daarna met foamtape opgeplakt. Met een zwarte pen heb ik daarna stiklijntjes langs de randen van de afbeelding en de kaart getekend. De tekst is gestempeld en komt uit de set Toadally awesome van There she goes (retired).

Goodmorning this is day 17 from the 30-day coloring challenge from Kathy Racoosin. Today I used a digital stamp from Whiff of joy. Whiff of joy is closing and now thay have all their stamps on sale with a 50% discount. So maybe this is a good tip if you like their stamps. On my card I used the image Merlin Henry from Whiff of joy. I have colored the image with my pencils and then I cut it out with the square nestabilities. 
On a white card I adhered a strip of purple design paper from the Kraft in color - color paperpad from Doodlebug. I adhered the image with foamtape. I have added faux stitching with a black pen. The sentiment is stamped and is from the set Toadally awesome from There she goes (retired).

Kaartjes uit HJ 94 en kerstkaart gemaakt door Menno

Goedemorgen, vandaag laat ik de kaarten zien die ik heb gemaakt voor Hobbyjournaal nummer 94. Deze keer hadden ze me gevraagd of ik een kaart, een label en een klein doosje of cadeautje wilde maken. Deze keer heb ik gewerkt met stempels van Whiff of joy.  De pinguinstempels smeekten er gewoon om om gebruikt te worden. ;) Op het kaartje heb ik de stempels Fishy present - Penguin brothers gebruikt. Het sterrendesign papier is van Pipoos. Het tekstje komt uit een stempelset van Nellie Snellen. 

Goodmorning, today I am showing you the cards that I made for the Dutch magazine Hobbyjournaal. This time they asked me if I could make a card, a label and a little box or present. This time I worked with stamps from Whiff of joy. The penguin stamps were just begging to be used on my projects. ;) On this card I have used the image Fishy present - Penguin brothers. The star paper is design paper from a Dutch store Pipoos. The sentiment (Happy holidays) from Nellie Snellen.

Dit is het cadeaulabel geworden. Hierop heb ik de stempel Penguin brothers building a snowman van Whiff of joy gebruikt. De tag is uitgesneden met de silhouette. Ik heb 4 verschillende witte lintjes aan mijn tag gehangen en deze samengeknoopt met bakerstwine van de Hema. 

This is the tag that I made. This time I used the stamp Penguin brothers building a snowman from Whiff of joy. The tag is cut out with the silhouette. I attached 4 different white ribbon and some bakerstwine at the tag. 

Als laatste heb ik een wikkel voor om een chocoladereepje gemaakt. Het witte karton is geknipt met een scallop schaar. Daarna heb ik weer het designpapier van Pipoos opgeplakt. Deze keer heb ik maar één van de pinguins van de Fishy present - Penguin brothers van Whiff of joy gebruikt.

Finally I made a band that you can wrap around a little chocolate bar. I have cut the white cardstock with scalloped scissors. Then I added the designpaper from the Dutch store again. This time I used just one of the penguins from the Fishy present - Penguin brothers from Whiff of joy.

Tenslotte laat ik vandaag nog een kerstkaartje zien. Menno was hier afgelopen week en als creatieve tante vond ik dat het onderhand wel eens tijd werd dat hij ook eens een kaartje ging maken. De kleine man is toch al 1 jaar en 1 maand. ;) Ik heb daarom een afbeelding van een kerstboompje van Pink petticoat geprint en daaronder ook de tekst. Het kerstboompje is van de set O christmas tree. Daarna heb ik Menno wat potloden in zijn handen geduwd en daar is dit kunstwerk uitgekomen. :) Echt talentje he! 

Now I am showing you another christmas card. Menno had visited me last week and as a crafty aunty I thought it was about time that he made a card. The little men is now 1 year and 1 month. ;) So printed an image from a chistmas tree from Pink petticoat and I added a sentiment. The tree is from the set O christmas tree. Then I gave Menno some pencils and this is the art he made. :) Such a talent!

De kleine artiest wilde natuurlijk ook dat er wel een logo met zijn eigen naam op de kaart kwam.

The little artist also wanted a logo with his name on the back of the card.

My last christmas card and Tiddly Inks sneak peeks!!!

Hallo! Heeft iedereen een fijne kerst gehad? Ik heb ervan genoten! Het was heerlijk relaxed en op tweede kerstdag heb ik heerlijk kaartjes zitten te maken. Vandaag was helaas wat minder want ik heb de hele dag al een flinke migraine die maar niet overgaat. Ik schrijf dus gauw even deze post en dan duik ik lekker mijn bed in.

Hoewel de kerst al voorbij is voor dit jaar heb ik toch nog één kerstkaartje om te posten. Dit kaartje  had ik voor mijn moeder gemaakt en ze had hem nog niet gekregen van me, dus wilde ik hem nog niet eerder posten op mijn blog. Op het kaartje heb ik een stempeltje uit de kerstcollectie van Magnolia van dit jaar gebruikt. Dit is Tilda hiding gift en ik heb haar ingekleurd met mijn potloden. Voor haar ogen heb ik een zwarte glaze pen gebruikt. Met een witte gelpen heb ik stipjes op haar wangen gezet. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met de ovalen nestabilities. Ik heb langs de randen van het ovaal gedistressed met walnut stain inkt van Ranger. Het design papier dat ik heb gebruikt is van Magnolia uit de So Jolly collectie. Het randje is geponst met met een randpons van EK success, ik weet alleen even niet meer de precieze naam van de pons.

Hello! Did everyone have a great christmas? I really enjoyed my christmas! It was really relaxed and I have made some cards on second christmas day. Today I hava had a heavy migraine all day. So I am writing a quick post and then I am off to bed. 

Although christmas is already over, I still want to post a last christmas card. I have made this card for my mother and she hadn't received it yet, so I didn't want to post it earlier on my blog. I have used a stamp from the 2011 christmas collection from Magnolia. This is Tilda hiding gift and I have coloured her with my pencils. I used a black glaze pen to colour her eyes. I used a white gelpen to add some dots on her cheeks. The image is cut out with the oval nestabilities. I distressed the edges of the oval with walnut stain ink from Ranger. The design paper that I used is from Magnolia from the So jolly collection. The border is punched with a borderpunch from EK Success. Unfortunately I don't know the exact name of the punch.

Ik schreef het al op tweede kerstdag heb ik heerlijk kaarten zitten maken. Op 3 januari is er een geweldige nieuwe release van Tiddly Inks en de nieuwe afbeeldingen zijn zo leuk! Ik kon het niet laten om alvast wat sneak peeks te laten zien. :) Volgende week dinsdag zal ik de hele kaarten laten zien! De bovenste kaart is gemaakt met het nieuwe karaktertje Wryn en ze is zo leuk! :) Op de onderste kaart staat Silver, ook een nieuw karakter. 

I have written it earlier in this post, I have been making cards this christmas. On the 3th of january there is a fabulous new release from Tiddly Inks and the new images are so awesome! I just have to show you some sneak peeks. :) Next tuesday I will show you my whole cards! The first card is made with a really cute new character Wryn and she is so lovely!:) On the bottom card you can see Silver, another new character.

Boekenleggers met Elisabeth Bell en Tiddly inks

Mijn andere grote hobby is lezen en ik vind het dan ook erg leuk om zelf boekenleggers te maken voor in mijn boeken. Afgelopen weekend ben ik begonnen aan deze twee. De eerste boekenlegger is gemaakt met een digitale stempel van Elisabeth Bell. Sinds kort verkoopt ze ook digitale stempels en hoewel er niet veel staan, vond ik deze toch wel erg leuk en toepasselijk. Ik heb de boekenleggers vrij simpel gehouden, want je kan natuurlijk niet al te veel frutsels erop plakken aangezien ze in een boek moeten. ;) Van donkerblauw papicolor karton heb ik een strip papier gesneden van 7 bij 24 centimeter lang. Deze is daarna dubbelgevouwen. Op de voorkant heb ik een stukje lichtblauw geruit papier geplakt. Op dit stuk geruite papier heb ik met donkerblauwe inkt een paar swirls van een stempelset van Whiff of joy gestempeld. Uit donkerblauw papier heb ik een paar bloemetjes geponst en deze heb ik bovenop de swirls geplakt. Met een witte gelpen heb ik een hartje in de bloemen getekend. De afbeelding, A tasty read, heb ik ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Rondom de afbeelding heb ik met blauwe chalk gekleurd. Op het hoofddoekje heb ik met een witte gelpen stipjes getekend. Na het kleuren heb ik voorzichtig met haarlak over de afbeelding gespoten, zodat de chalk gefixeerd wordt.

My other hobby is reading and I really love to make my own bookmarks. Last weekend I started with making these two bookmarks. The first bookmark was made using a digital stamp from Elisabeth Bell. She is now selling digital stamps and although she doesn't have a lot of stamps yet, I thought this one was perfect for a bookmark. :) The bookmark are pretty simple almost without embellies because they have to go in a book. I have cut a strip of darkblue papicolor cardstock (7 by 24 cm) and folded it in half. On the front I added a piece of blue gingham paper. I have stamped with dark blue ink on the gingham paper with a swirl stamp set from Whiff of joy. I punched a couple of little flowers out of dark blue paper and glued them on top of the swirls. With a white gelpen I have drawn the hearts in the flowers. The image, A tasy read. was coloured with derwent pencils. I used blue chalk to colour round the girl. The white dots were drawn with a white gelpen. After I was done with colouring I used hairspray to fixate the chalk.

Een actiefoto van de boekenlegger! :) Binnenin de boekenlegger heb ik hele dunne magneetjes geplakt, zodat de boekenlegger niet zomaar uit je boek valt. De magneetjes zijn weggewerkt met een stukje donkerblauw papier.

Here you can see the bookmark inside my book. :) On the inside of the bookmark I used thin magnets. This way it doesn't fall out of your book very easily. The magnets are covered with darkblue paper.

De tweede boekenlegger is gemaakt met deze schattige digitale stempel van Christy Croll, te koop in haar shop Tiddly inks. Fun in the sun nap is ingekleurd met derwent en caran d'ache potloden. Ik heb voor het kleuren van het gras een tutorial gevolgd van Paula. Zij is echt een wonder met haar potloden (om jaloers van te worden :) ) en ook haar gras ziet er geweldig uit. Dit is mijn eerste poging en ik vind hem aardig gelukt. De volgende keer moet ik mijn potloden nog iets beter slijpen voor de grassprietjes zelf. Met blauwe chalk heb ik een wolkenachtergrond achter de afbeelding gekleurd. Ik heb van een stukje papier een wolkje geknipt en dat heb ik met chalk op de afbeelding gekleurd. Het is heel subtiel, maar als de afbeeldingen worden vergroot is het goed te zien. De bloemetjes heb ik gekleurd met een clear spica glitter pen. Ik heb de afbeelding uitgesneden met mijn ovalen nestabilities. Het rose cardstock is het nieuwe Elzybells cardstock, strawberry fool. Deze keer heb ik een bredere strip gebruikt en daarop heb ik de zwarte stippen geprint. Van een heel dun satijn lintje heb ik een strikje gemaakt en deze heb ik samen met een stukje lint onder de afbeelding geplakt.

The second bookmark was made with a very cute image from Christy Croll, you can find it in her shop Tiddly inks. Fun in the sun nap is coloured with derwent and caran d'ache pencils. I have followed a tutorial from Paula for the grass. Paula is the queen of colouring and her grass allways looks so awesome! This was my first try and I like it. Next time I need to sharpen my pencils a bit more when I draw the grass. I used blue chalk to colour the clouds behind the image. I have cut the clouds out of a piece of paper and coloured them with the chalks. It is very subtle, but when you clock on the picture you can see it very well. I have coloured the flowers with a clear spica glitter pen. I used the oval nestabilities to cut the image out. The pink cardstock is the new cardstock from Elzybells, strawberry fool. I have printed the blakc dots on top of it. I made a tiny bow from black satin ribbon and together with a piece of ribbon I glued it on the bookmark.

Ook binnenin deze boekenlegger heb ik magneetjes geplakt, zodat hij goed in mijn boek blijft hangen.

Again I used tiny magnets on the inside of the bookmark, so it will stay in place in my book.

Eén sketch, twee verschillende kaarten.

Gisteravond heb ik deze twee kaartjes gemaakt voor de Sketch Saturday blog. Debbie heeft een geweldige sketch gemaakt en ik vond hem zo leuk dat ik er meteen 2 verschillende kaartjes mee heb gemaakt. Op mijn eerste kaartje heb ik weer een lief gnoompje gebruikt van Norma fickel van Whiff of Joy. Uru and candycane is ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Omdat de afbeelding net iets te groot was voor de ovaal, heb ik haar arm en de candycane nog een keer gestempeld. Ik heb deze ook ingekleurd en daarna heb ik het uitgeknipt en met foamtape bovenop de afbeelding geplakt. Het streepjespapier is van Nel van Veen. Eroverheen heb ik een strip rose papicolor papier geplakt dat ik eerst heb geëmbost met de snowflakes embossingfolder van cuttlebug. Ik heb nog twee randjes groen papier toegevoegd die eerst zijn geknipt met een figgurschaar. Als laatste heb ik nog wat rose hotfix steentjes toegevoegd.

Yesterday I made these two cards for the Sketch Saturday challenge blog. Debbie has designed a great sketch and I loved it so much that I decided to make two different cards. On my first card I used a sweet little gnome from Norma Fickel from Whiff of Joy. Uru and candycane was coloured with derwent pencils. My oval was too little for the image, so I stamped the candycane and Uru's arm again and coloured them. After that cut them out and used foamtape to mount them on the original image. The striped paper is from Nel van Veen. The pink papicolor paper was embossed with the snowflakes embossing folder from cuttlebug. I added two green strips taht were cut with scalloped scissors. The last thing I did was add a few pink hotfix stones.

Mijn tweede kaartje is ondanks dat ik dezelfde sketch heb gebruikt, toch heel anders geworden. Op deze kaart heb ik een afbeelding van mijn vriendin Chris Dark (Sketchingstamper) gebruikt. Ik heb de sweetpeas ingekleurd met caran d'ache potloden. De afbeelding heb ik daarna uitgesneden met de ovalen nestabilities. Op mijn kaart heb ik de blauwe ruitjes achtergrond geprint. Ook hier heb ik weer wat hotfix steentjes gebruikt om de kaart af te maken.

My second card is although I used the same sketch, very different than the first one. On this card I used an image from my friend Chris Dark (sketchingstamper) I have coloured the sweetpeas with caran d'ache pencils. After that I cut the image out with the oval nestabilities. I printed the blue gingham background on my card. And again I used some hotfix stones to finish off the card.

Wee and christmas tree

Dit kaartje heb ik gemaakt met een nieuwe stempel van Whiff of Joy. Ik was meteen verliefd op de nieuwe gnoompjes van Norma Fickel toen ik ze zag bij Whiff of joy. Ik ben als eerste aan het kleuren gegaan met Wee en haar kerstboompje. Wee is ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Haar oogjes zijn gekleurd met een zwarte glaze pen. De boom heb ik versierd met hotfix steentjes. Na het kleuren heb ik Wee uitgeknipt. Uit wit en purper papier heb ik twee cirkels gesneden met de nestabilities. De witte cirkel is geëmboste met de snowflakes embossingfolder van cuttlebug. Het stipjes- en streepjes papier is van Nel van Veen. De tag is gemaakt met een stans van Spellbinders. Ik heb de tekst erop gestempeld en ik ben met lichtgroene inkt langs de randjes van de tag gegaan. De tag is vastgemaakt aan de kaart met een satijn lintje.

This card was made with a new stamp from Whiff of joy. I am in love with the new little gnomes from Norma Fickel from Whiff of Joy. The first one I have coloured is little Wee and her christmastree. Wee was coloured with derwent pencils. I coloured her eyes with a black glaze pen. The tree was decorated with hotfix stones. After I was done, I cut Wee out. I cut two circles with the nestabilities and embossed the white one with the snowflakes embossingfolder from cuttlebug. The dotted and striped paper is from Nel van Veen. The tag was made with the ribbon tags trio from Spellbinders. I stamped the sentiment on top of it and used a green inkpad on the edges of the tag. The tag was attached with a satin ribbon.

Truly scrumptious 16 - Henry the mouse

Vorige week ben ik een paar dagen naar Duitsland geweest en daar heb ik ook de Stempelmekka in Hagen bezocht. Natuurlijk ben ik weer thuis gekomen met veel leuke nieuwe spullen. Ik was erg benieuwd naar de nieuwe serie kerststempels van Whiff of joy met het lieve muisje Henry en ze waren zo lief dat ik het niet kon laten om een paar stempels mee te nemen. :) Ik heb met Henry een kaartje gemaakt voor de Truly scrumptious challenge. Deze week hebben ze een geweldige sketch gemaakt door Heather. Als extra optie is het de bedoeling om 3 verschillende stempels op je kaart te gebruiken en daar mag je de tekststempel niet bij meetellen. Op mijn kaartje heb ik de stempel van Henry met warme chocolade gebruikt. Henry is ingekleurd met derwent potloden. Ik heb ook nog wat gekleurd met een clear spica glitter pen. Henry is uitgesneden met de cirkel nestabilities. Op een vierkant van rood papier heb ik twee verschillende sneeuwsterretjes gestempeld met witte inkt. Dus dat zijn stempel 2 en 3 die ik op mijn kaartje heb gebruikt. Op een witte kaart heb ik een rode stipjes achtergrond geprint. De tekst is gestempeld met de set Everyday greetings van Elzybells. De grote sneeuwsterren zijn geponst en met foamtape op de kaart geplakt.

Last week I have been in Germany for a few days and there I visited the Stempelmekka in Hagen. Offcourse I came home with a lot of new goodies. :) I really wanted to see the new collection from Whiff of Joy with christmas stamps from Henry the mouse and they were so sweet that I just had to buy a few stamps. I used Henry to make a card for this week's challenge from Truly scrumptious. This week they have a fabulous sketch from Heather. There is also an extra option: You have to use 3 different stamps on your card, but the sentiment stamp doesn't count. I used the stamp from Henry the mouse with hot chocolate on my card. I coloured him with derwent pencils. I added some glitter with a clear spica glitter pen. Henry was cut out with circle nestabilities. I stamped with two different snowflakes stamp on the red square ( stamp 2 and 3). On a white card I printed the red dotted design. The sentiment is from the Everyday greetings set from Elzybells. The big snowflakes are made with punches and I used foamtape to mount them on my card.
