Too late for Less is more challenge - Focus on the sentiment :)

Hallo! Ik wilde deze week weer heel graag meedoen aan de challenge van het Less is more blog en deze vorige week was het de bedoeling dat je tekst het hoofdonderdeel van je kaartje was. Ik had eerst heel veel moeite om te verzinnen wat ik ging doen en toen ik het eindelijk wist en mijn kaartje af was, had ik geen internet en uiteindelijk was ik dus te laat voor de challenge. :) Dit lieve stempelafdrukje van Denami heb ik een tijd geleden gekregen van mijn vriendin Angela en ik denk dat het perfect is voor deze challenge. Het kleine afdrukje vraagt gewoon om een grote tekst. ;) Omdat ik niet goed wist wat ik wilde doen met mijn kaartje heb ik besloten om 2 verschillende versies te maken. Voor veide versies heb ik het kuikentje ingekleurd met potloden. De ogen van het kuiken heb ik ingekleurd met een zwarte glaze pen. Daarna heb ik de afbeelding uitgeknipt en met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. Op de bovenste kaart heb ik een dunne strip rose papier opgeplakt en daarboven heb ik de tekst geplaatst. De tekst is gemaakt met het Katie alfabet van quickutz.

Hello! I really wanted to join the Less is more challenge this week and this last week the you had to focus on your sentiment. At first I found it really difficult to decide what I was going to do and when I finally had my idea and finished my card, my internet connection was lost and now I am too late for the challenge. :) I got this stamped image from the cute little chick from my friend Angela and I think it is perfect for this challenge. The little image needs a large sentiment. ;) I have made two different versions off my card. I coloured the chick with pencils for both the cards. I coloured the eyes with a black glaze pen and then I cut the image out and used foamtape to adhere on the card. I added a strip of pink paper on the first card and i placed the sentiment above it. The sentiment is made with the Katie alphabet from quickutz.  

Op mijn tweede kaart heb ik een gestreept kader rechtstreeks op mijn kaart geprint en binnenin het kader heb ik de tekst weer geplaatst en deze keer heb ik rose letters gebruikt.

I printed a striped frame on my card for the second card and inside the frame I added the sentiment in pink.

35 Jaar getrouwd!

Afgelopen vrijdag waren mijn ouders 35 jaar getrouwd. We zijn om het te vieren lekker tapas wezen eten in een leuk restaurantje. Hmmmm heerlijk! :) Ik heb dit kaartje voor mijn ouders gemaakt. Voor de kleuren heb ik gekozen omdat deze ook in de trouwjurk van mijn moeder zaten. ze droeg een zwarte jurk met rose bloemen. Mijn vader had een rose overhemd aan. Op het kaartje heb ik een stempelafdrukje gebruikt die ik van mijn lieve vriendin Angela heb gekregen. Het is een bruidspaartje van Denami Design. Zijn ze niet superschattig? Toen ik deze afdrukjes kreeg, was ik wel verbaasd over hoe klein ze zijn en het leek me een uitdaging om er een kaartje mee te maken. Voor dit kaartje heb ik mijn chickies ingekleurd met potloden. Na het kleuren heb ik ze uitgeknipt en ik heb ze met foamtape op de kaart geplakt. De vierkanten zijn gesneden met nestabilities. Ik heb de grote witte geëmbost met de swiss dots embossing folder van cuttlebug. Ik heb er nog een zwart-wit geruit lintje omheen gedaan. Voor de kaart zelf ik een rose gestreepte achtergrond gebruikt. De tekst heb ik erop geprint. Ik heb daarna met wat zwarte hotfx steentjes de kaart versierd.

Last friday it was the 35th wedding anniversary of my parents. To celebrate we went out for tapas in a nice restaurant. Hmmm yummy! :) I made this card for my parents. I used the colours from the wedding dress of my mother as an inspiration for my card. She was wearing a black dress with pink flowers. My father's shirt was pink. On the card I used a stamped image that I have gotten from my sweet friend Angela. It is a wedding couple from Denami Design. Aren't they supercute? When I got the images I was surprised about how small they are and it was a bit of challenge to make a card with them. I coloured my chickies with pencils. After the colouring I cut them out. I used foamtape to mount them on my card. The squares were cut with nestabilities. I embossed the large white square with the swiss dots embossing folder from cuttlebug. Then I added a black and white gingham ribbon. I used a pink background for my card. The sentiment was printed on the background I used some black hotfix stones to decorate my card.
