Darin's card

"Post Pals is an organisation that was set up to create smiles for children who suffer from life threatening and long term illnesses. We ask people to log on to send the children featured on our website ‘happy post’. When a child is very ill, often a visit from the postman can make their day. A cheery card or letter can make them feel less alone and bring welcome distraction from what they go through each day. To see the difference happy post can make please watch this great video (link) To find out ore about Post Pals, please log on to http://www.postpals.co.uk/ and have a look around the website."
I did make a card for this weeks challenge but I didn't want to send that one to a child, so I made another card with the same theme (gingham and stitching). I have chosen to send my card to Darin. The image is from Pink Petticoat and I coloured it with derwent pencils. I cut him out and used foamtape to mount it on my card. The gingham is real fabric that I stitched on the card with red yarn. I used 4 buttons to decorate the corners. The sentiment was made with the phoebe alphabet from quickutz.
